00:00PTV Balita Ngayon is back. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has approved the provision of travel tax exceptions to all travelers leaving the international airports and seaports in Mindanao, Palawan, and three countries of the member of the ASEAN or Southeast Asian Nations.
00:21On March 21, 2023, the House Resolution No. 61 was recommended by the Camera to the President. Its purpose is to improve the economy of Mindanao and Palawan. The resolution is effective until June 30, 2028.
00:39The Department of Agriculture's target is to vaccinate pigs in the third week of August to stop the spread of African Swine Fever in Batangas.
00:49The vaccine is being supplied by the D.A. in Batangas under the Emergency Procurement. The supply of test kits to possible ASF-affected people has also increased.
01:01As of now, Biosecurity in Batangas has been shut down and checkpoints have been increased to prevent the release of pigs that may have ASF.
01:14Batangas, as of today, has almost 1 million hog population. That's practically 10% of the existing hog population that we have in the country. It's very important that we need to protect the remaining hogs. The D.A. is still on top of this.
