00:00We got a call about an alligator in a fairly large pond.

00:04I'm going to send Ollie and our intern, Daniel, because Ollie, he has this creation trap thing.

00:10This would be a perfect way to see if this works.

00:12All right, I have this part, you have that part.

00:15Let's get them.

00:16My invention doesn't really have a name right now, so I just call it a ch-chut.

00:20That's just a word we use whenever I don't know what to call something.

00:24So what is that?

00:25It's a ch-chut.

00:26All right, we're ready.

00:27Ready to roll.

00:28Load them up.

00:29Let's go.

00:35I didn't get the first call, so Gary and Shannon got it.

00:38But they're a little tied up, so they're sending me.

00:40But from what I gather, he's got about a five-foot alligator in his pond.

00:44He has ducklings and geese.

00:46The plan is just we'll set up this trap, bait it with some stanky meat, which you can handle.

00:52You earned it.

00:53You went to college.

00:54I found out about this internship on Texas A&M.

00:57I saw an ad that said American alligators, venomous snakes, and other reptiles,

01:02and I applied right away when I saw it.

01:05Oh, that's a fancy spread.

01:13Oh, I got movement.

01:15Brad!

01:16How's it going?

01:19Better than I deserve.

01:20I'm Arlie.

01:22So I'm here to set out a trap for your lizard.

01:23My biggest concern, gator being here, is going after livestock and going after my quacking geese,

01:29the ducks, the gator has going after them.

01:32And now the fowl will not go in the water due to the gator.

01:35Hey, goose.

01:38Oh, he doesn't sound happy.

01:39No.

01:40So where do you usually see him?

01:42Right in this area.

01:43Right in here?

01:44Yeah.

01:45There he is right there.

01:46Sure looks like him, doesn't it?

01:48Now I know what I'm dealing with.

01:49I'm going to get out of your hair and set up all my gear, and I'll see you in the morning, bud.

01:53You good with that?

01:54I appreciate it, Gus.

01:55I've had some problems with gators here, but they've always moved.

01:59But right now, it's so dry, they're staying in ponds.

02:02He wants the alligator gone, and we're going to get him gone.

02:05All right, bring that little chit-chit right over here, and we'll get started.

02:09He was right there, so bring it about right here.

02:12We're going to point it straight out toward the middle.

02:14I don't want him to be able to go in here and then turn around.

02:17I want him to walk in and then walk straight back out so that snare grabs his armpits.

02:26All right, if you go get something to hammer this down, I'm going to go get some kind of a stick that I can use to hold my bait.

02:35All right, it's in.

02:37Now you're going to get some of that nasty meat and put it on this stick.

02:41How's it smell?

02:42It's great.

02:43Get in there.

02:44The best bait for an alligator like that is good old stanky rotten meat.

02:48A mixture of chicken and pork and everything.

02:51You put that in a freezer bag, let her sit in the bed of your truck and brew for a little while,

02:55and it's going to grow some kind of funky stuff.

02:57I don't know.

02:58I'm telling you, dude, if this doesn't work, you're going to look so dumb.

03:01This trap that I'm using, so the alligator's going to go in there and take that bait,

03:04and when he can't turn around, as he walks backwards, that snare's going to grab his armpits and cinch.

03:10He's going to swim off.

03:11It's going to pull a jug with him on a piece of rope.

03:13We're just going to follow the jug around, and we're going to have a lizard on it.

03:16Let's hope it snares him.

03:17Oh, it will.

03:18It will.

03:19It's going to work.

03:20I know it is.

03:22We're going to see an alligator or a jug moving around, and it's on.
