पेरिस ओलंपिक में कुश्ती के 50 किलो वर्ग के फाइनल में 150 ग्राम ज्यादा होने पर विनेश फोगाट को अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया गया। जैसे ही विनेश फोगाट को इस खबर का पता चला तो वह बेहोश हो गईं। बताया जा रहा है कि डिहाइड्रेशन के चलते विनेश की तबीयत बिगड़ गई। जिसके बाद उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया। इस मामले को लेकर IOA की अध्यक्ष पीटी उषा ने प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कहा कि विनेश फोगाट के अयोग्य घोषित होने पर मै सदमें मे हूं। विनेश से मिली वे मानसिक रूप से थोड़ी अस्वस्थ हैं। हमारी टीम के डॉक्टर पूरी रात बिना सोए विनेश का वजन कम करने की कोशिश में लगे रहे। उन्होंने पूरा सहयोग किया।
