00:00the guy can't lose his job to injury basically said that if the if the guy
00:05taken over plays well it's a competition or the other guy could just take over
00:09the spot completely so I thought that was a direct comment if everyone's
00:14listening no question message sent we'll see if
00:18messages delivered right I mean that was an absolute tone-setting statement from
00:23Matt to express publicly the frustration that you know has been building
00:27internally in the building about having a guy that you you know signed to a
00:31three-year 30 million dollar contract a year ago and hasn't been dependable
00:35hasn't been able to be out there at the times where you want to grind and get
00:39better and build the sort of cohesion on your offensive line that you need and
00:43Matt's message yesterday was loud and clear right like get out there or we've
00:47got a guy that can get out there and Ryan Bates has been filling in at the
00:49right guard position which then obviously shifts Coleman Shelton into
00:52the role of being your starting center and they're not gonna wait around for
00:55Nate anymore and and so that was an emphatic message one of two things
00:59yesterday out of the Maddie Berflus news conference that was that was the most
01:04important the other one being obviously the the Bayless Jones experimental shift
01:07into the backfield for this block of practices and then the the preseason
01:12game in Buffalo on Saturday
