00:34own uncle, Aemond Targaryen — it sure felt like war was inevitable in Season 2. Unfortunately,

00:44grievously injures King Aegon, there's not a whole lot of action, as fans pointed out on X.

00:49Some simply expressed shock and indignation over the lackluster episode, with one viewer posting,

02:37Ultimately, aside from the battle at Rook's Rest, fans will have to wait quite a while to see more

02:47two major events from the book, the Battle of the Gullet and the fall of King's Landing.

02:51In a fascinating twist, though, the show does add something new to the latter,

02:54by having Alicent Hightower secretly visit her stepdaughter and former close friend

02:59Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, begging for an end to the family's devastating civil war.

03:03Rhaenyra says it can only end if Aegon is dead, and Alicent amazingly agrees,

03:08and this will almost certainly be a huge part of whatever happens in Season 3.

03:12At the end of the day, fans have a right to feel frustrated over the fact that Season 2

03:16of House of the Dragon was conspicuously light on action and ended in a pretty abrupt manner,

03:21and it'll be a long wait until they can see what happens next.
