00:00about that.
00:01Okay.
00:02Thank you so much, Karine.
00:03Hi, John.
00:04On Venezuela, two questions.
00:06One about the call with President Lula yesterday.
00:09Did President Biden ask anything specific from the Brazilian president, any kind of
00:14help to moderate the situation in Venezuela?
00:18The President was grateful for the time with President Lula.
00:20They obviously talked about the electoral results in Venezuela and our concerns about
00:25where that's leading to.
00:27I won't go beyond the readout, though, in terms of specific asks.
00:31The President was grateful for President Lula's time.
00:33And another one, because as you were saying, the United States and other countries like
00:37Brazil are asking for the full release of the voting count.
00:42But three days later, as you were saying, the patience is running out.
00:44There is no indication that Maduro will release, give in to this international pressure and
00:50release the data.
00:51On the opposite, as you were saying, there is violence now.
00:54They're persecuting people, protesting against the results.
00:57So does the U.S. still believe that Maduro can be convinced to release this data?
01:05And how long is the U.S. willing to wait?
01:07What is the strategy?
01:08They need to release it.
01:10We've been calling for it.
01:11As I said, our patience is running out.
01:13Those electoral authorities, which obviously work for Mr. Maduro, they need to release
01:18the data, the tabulated data, so the world can see exactly what happened here.
01:23And we're going to continue to call for that.
01:24And as for consequences, I won't get ahead of policy decisions that haven't been made
01:28yet.
01:29Okay.
01:30Does the White House recognize that Edmund Gonzalez won the election?
01:34Again, we want to see the full tabulated data from the polling places.
01:38We want to see something that can be verifiable and can convince not only the United States
01:43but the international community about what the results actually were.
01:46Okay.
01:47A couple more.
