00:00The Maritime Cooperative Activity of the Philippines and the United States in the West Philippine Sea was conducted by the IKAFP-PAO Chief Colonel Cercis Trinidad.
00:14It was conducted inside our exclusive economic zone of the Philippines and the U.S. Navy using the BRP Ramon Alcaraz and USS Mobile.
00:27Among the activities conducted in the exercise was the improvement of communication and operational coordination.
00:34The official explained that its primary goal is to improve the interoperability and cooperative capabilities of the navies of the two countries.
00:46It will also improve the readiness and capability to assist in maritime security and stability in the region.
00:55AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browner Jr. also stated that these cooperative activities are important for the maintenance of regional peace and security.
