00:04Hello, Vogue. I am Miles Chamberlain-Watson,
00:06and I'm gonna be taking you through my skincare,
00:08haircare, and overall wellness
00:10to keep me sharp for when I'm on the road.
00:12First step, candles.
00:14I love candles.
00:15I always carry them on the road with me.
00:17Just kind of reminds me of being home,
00:18and since I'm in the hotel all the time,
00:20it's just, like, a lovely feeling of just zen.
00:23So look at this candle.
00:26Only you could smell it.
00:28Wow.
00:29So the first thing we do is a lovely
00:31vitamin C face mask,
00:33just so, you know, give that skin some love,
00:35especially, like, being on the plane
00:37and sweating a lot with a mask.
00:38It's just, like, nice to just always put it on.
00:43Oh, this one smells nice.
00:45And then you just look stunning for about five minutes.
00:49You know, I'm gonna put this on,
00:50and we'll go downstairs, put a coffee on,
00:53go back out, and then it's done.
00:55So then after five minutes,
00:58look at that.
00:59It's not overly, like, wet on your face.
01:02It's nice and kind of sinks into your pores,
01:04so that's a good one.
01:05I'm a facial scrubber.
01:06Some people say, oh, it's too hard on your skin,
01:08but get a good facial scrub.
01:11Say about a little glob.
01:13I started exfoliating a lot more
01:16because in penting, we sweat a lot,
01:18and then, you know, if your skin's not clean,
01:21then it's easy to get acne or just irritate the skin.
01:25Looking like a million dollars out there.
01:27All right, next.
01:28I take a pure cleansing oil.
01:31I love this one in Korea.
01:32It's just nice, felt really good.
01:34Since you just scrub the skin,
01:37now you gotta love the skin.
01:41Scrub it and love it, darling.
01:45So I was in Korea for work,
01:46and I ran out of my cleansing oil.
01:50Oh, no, where do I go?
01:51I'm in Korea.
01:52Go anywhere.
01:53Go anywhere.
01:54I just stumbled upon the shop
01:55that had about 18,000 different cleansing oils,
01:59and I just found this one and loved it.
02:01Make sure you get the beard as well.
02:03Make sure you check yourself out on there.
02:05Make sure you feel good.
02:07So I heard through this lady in the Korean shop says
02:11since you do the scrub,
02:12your skin is really, like, rough and dry,
02:14that if you leave the cleansing oil on your skin,
02:17it will actually, they say,
02:19rejuvenate your skin faster.
02:20So I leave it on.
02:22This is a lovely little exfoliating, brightening, you know.
02:26Take a little gulp of this.
02:28Just do the good old home alone scene.
02:30You know?
02:31Who does that?
02:32And it screams.
02:33Oh, it had a little burn in this one.
02:35But it should burn.
02:36It's a good thing.
02:40As I'm preparing for the Olympics,
02:41cleansing's massive in Paris,
02:42so it's kind of like a different feel
02:44to the whole Olympics this year,
02:45because, you know, we've got the history
02:47and our venues have gotten in place.
02:48So it's gonna be really lovely to be able to,
02:50you know, hopefully make history there,
02:52but also just be in the amazing culture of Paris.
02:56I love Paris.
02:57I've actually competed in this venue before,
02:58so I'm excited to hopefully
03:01bring back something nice and shiny.
03:03I was just in Paris for Vogue World.
03:04I was walking my thing down a runway,
03:07which was sick.
03:08It was amazing.
03:09That was, like, ridiculous.
03:11This is my serum.
03:13And I just learned about serums, like, maybe two years ago.
03:17I think I've always, like,
03:18taken care of myself, you know,
03:20just in terms of hygiene.
03:21And then, like, when I started to get, you know,
03:23more and more busier,
03:24I would just always, like,
03:25want to make sure that my skin was fresh.
03:27My mom's always been, like, taking care of herself.
03:29So she looks like she's 30, but she's not.
03:32So my mom's kind of probably one person
03:34who, like, told me about, you know,
03:36taking care of your skin and wearing sunscreen,
03:39which I used to never wear sunscreen.
03:41I was like, oh, I'm mixed and tan.
03:43I don't need to wear sunscreen.
03:44But I was wrong.
03:45A good sunscreen's really good,
03:46because you don't want to walk around
03:47and have, like, that white look on your face.
03:52Got my first facial ever.
03:53I was like, this is incredible.
03:54I want to go every day.
03:56Like, things like that, getting, you know, massages.
03:59And every Sunday, me and my coach,
04:01we go to the Russian sauna,
04:02which is, like, amazing for your skin.
04:03Like, that's, like, been a game-changer for me.
04:05You're sweating all your toxins,
04:06and then if you're sweating better,
04:08then, you know, your skin is breathing more.
04:10So I think it's very important
04:12to kind of take care of yourself.
04:13And, you know, I see a lot of women
04:15taking care of themselves.
04:16All right, well, I should do the same.
04:17You should definitely put sunscreen on your entire body.
04:19You want to get the shoulders.
04:22So, since I don't have anyone to help me out here,
04:24I'm just going to do it myself.
04:28Definitely noticed in the last couple years,
04:30like, people have been, like, men,
04:32you know, especially,
04:33have been taking care of themselves a lot more,
04:35which is, like, good to see.
04:37But also, we should have been doing it years ago, so.
04:39So, since I did the serum,
04:41I didn't forget to put the moisturizer on.
04:42So, you know, you forget sometimes.
04:44I've got a little glove on.
04:49I've got a beard, too,
04:50so I'm going to get into the beard as well.
04:52And I've got tattoos as well now,
04:54so you need to, like, moisturize as well.
04:56But I don't want to lose them, so.
04:57I think being mixed,
04:58I've got kind of both kind of worlds
05:00I need to, like, figure out what to do.
05:03Eye gel.
05:05I don't want bags under my eyes,
05:07so I use, like, a lot of this every day,
05:09sometimes twice a day.
05:10And I don't actually have any bags.
05:11So, like, this has been something that's, like,
05:13I think people sleep on the eye gel.
05:15It's kind of got, like, a cooling sensation in there.
05:17It's therapy as well.
05:18You just do this routine, put some music on,
05:21have a coffee, but the candle's still going.
05:23I like routine,
05:24so it's important to do this every day.
05:26And when I'm on the road,
05:28keep everything the same,
05:29and just, like, kind of makes you feel more at home,
05:31which is nice.
05:32Everything here will be with me in the village.
05:34Everything, not if it's big enough,
05:36but everything will be here.
05:38And then that's just my skincare.
05:40So, then we've got next, the hair.
05:42I kind of start with, like, a conditioner
05:45because I've got mixed hair.
05:46So, like, Cantu was, like, really good with mixed hair.
05:49I take a lot of this
05:50and just, like, run it through your hands
05:52and then just nicely through.
05:54And it'll be white on.
05:56It'll be white,
05:57but the more you massage it into your hair,
05:59it'll just become your hair color.
06:02Jamaican black castor oil.
06:04It's, like, purple almost.
06:06Take a little glob of this.
06:07It just, like, makes your hair, like, moist,
06:11but also, like, kind of shiny
06:12and then, like, also helps it grow
06:14and just really, like, get into the whole scalp.
06:19Also, you want to put this on your skin, too.
06:22Like, look at that. I'm glistening.
06:24This little bad boy.
06:26Just a little bit of this.
06:27It's, like, oily,
06:28so you don't want too much
06:29otherwise you're going to ruin your bedsheets.
06:31I've done that before.
06:33I woke up and my entire head was, like, glued to my head.
06:37Not a good look.
06:39I used to have, like,
06:40kind of superstitions before a match,
06:41where I'd be, like,
06:42I would take a bath before every competition
06:45or, like, you know,
06:46I would have to, like, watch a certain movie
06:48or eat a certain meal,
06:49but now I don't really.
06:51The night before,
06:52I always go out with my teammates or whoever,
06:57get a good meal.
06:58I don't talk about fencing or sports.
07:00I just don't want to think about it.
07:01And then we just enjoy the evening,
07:03get back to the room, watch a movie,
07:05and then I always lay out my clothes in the morning.
07:08I've got my fencing stuff,
07:09I've got my warm-ups,
07:10I've got my hat,
07:11I've got my watches
07:12that I don't have to wear for the podium.
07:14And then I just do this every morning as well.
07:18Kind of, like, resets me.
07:19And then it's time to fly some and die some.
07:22So this is coconut and hibiscus styling milk.
07:25So going into my third Olympics in Paris,
07:27I'm not really nervous at all,
07:29which is, like,
07:30when you become the most dangerous.
07:32Maybe when I get there,
07:33I'll be getting in my boots,
07:34but right now, honestly, no.
07:37I was wondering, why are my lips so juicy?
07:40That's why.
07:42This lip balm is incredible.
07:44Marvin is what she's doing.
07:45Bye, Vogue.
07:46See you at the Olympics.
07:47Thank you for having me.
07:48Hope you love my little skincare,
07:50haircare.
07:51I'll see you in Paris.
