00:00The Prime Minister's office has slammed Meta, Instagram's parent company, for removing a

00:06post from the social media platform covering Anwar Ibrahim's meeting with Hamas leader

00:10Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar last May. PMO said this action by Meta clearly reflects a bias

00:16against the situation in Palestine and its leaders. It demanded an explanation regarding

00:21this matter and urged Meta to issue an apology. PMO also shared screenshots showing that Instagram

00:27had removed the post yesterday because the account had shared symbols praised or supported

00:32people and organisations defined as dangerous or followed them. This is the second time Meta has

00:38removed content related to the meeting. Previously, Facebook posts about Anwar's meeting with the

00:43Hamas leader were also taken down. However, Meta later restored the posts which they said were

00:48removed in error. Earlier today, Reuters reported that Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli strike in

00:53Iran, where he was attending the inauguration of the country's new president. Sam Witrow, FMT News.
