00:00Do you think that Inverness is a family-friendly staycation for people?
00:04Yeah, definitely.
00:05Well, they've got, apart from Bird Park, there's things around there for kids.
00:09There's the swimming pool, there's the ice rink, I think they've still got the ice rink.
00:14Plus, there's quite a lot of cafes and stuff for kids around about the town as well.
00:19Do you think there's anything they could improve on?
00:21A bit more like soft play areas and things like that,
00:23because they're kind of out of the town centre.
00:25You know, they're up at Asda's and things, and they're out of edge at Inverness.
00:29There could be more inside Inverness, like for visitors wouldn't know to go out there.
00:35Or a better signposted even.
00:38I don't know, we've just been in the city centre for the first time today, so...
00:44How much is it?
00:46It's smaller than I thought it would be.
00:49And I don't, yeah, for kids, I don't know if there's much to do around here.
00:54But that's just for what we've seen.
00:56Whereabouts are you from?
00:57The Netherlands.
00:58What do you think could be improved then to make it more family-friendly?
01:03Maybe like playgrounds or something, just something for kids as well.
01:09In comparison to where you're from, do you think there's more kind of family-friendly areas?
01:16There are a lot of playgrounds, but I don't know, in the cities, maybe not.
01:21It's difficult, I think, for kids.
01:23I think cities, it's not that good of a place for kids.
01:28I think so.
01:30Whereabouts are you from?
01:32We're from Tennessee in the United States.
01:34And what do you think of it, do you think it's family-friendly?
01:36Yes, it's very nice.
01:38What do you think is good about it, family-friendly-wise, what's available?
01:43What little we have seen.
01:45There's a variety of things to do, a variety of restaurants to go to that would be familiar to
01:51travelers and things that would be for local flavor here.
01:56So I think it's very nice.
01:58And if you could make some improvements, what would you say?
02:03I don't think I've been here long enough to decide.
02:06I really like the food.
02:08Lots of variety.
02:11I just like the atmosphere.
02:13Scottish people.
02:14That's right.
02:15I have thought of one thing.
02:17As an American, parking is a, it's a little harder than what we do in the United States.
02:26So parking has been a little bit of, not a problem, but we've had to look.
02:31Yeah, in what sense?
02:32Do you have more parking units in America?
02:35Yes, we have larger parking units, more parking, closer a lot of times to where you're going.
02:42But like I said, that's one thing that we've really had to look for
02:47and figure out where we're going.
02:51So we know where to park.
02:53Is it your first time in Inverness?
02:54Absolutely.
02:55Whereabouts are you from?
02:56Nottingham.
02:56What do you think of it so far?
02:57Do you think there's a lot of things to do for family?
03:00We've seen quite a few, just like basic activities.
03:04Obviously the castle's closed, but there's the museum.
03:06And we've just been having a potter around really.
03:08It does look nice.
03:09On first impressions, do you think there could be more for family and kids?
03:14I think so, but we're literally just going on first impressions.
03:17So yeah, I think that the shops are mostly chain shops.
03:22We've not seen anything advertised except for a soft play centre on the way in.
03:26Like to do with the odd boat trip, we've done crazy golf, that sort of thing.
03:30It's difficult when you've got teenagers because they're too young to go out drinking,
03:33but they are too old for the kind of traditional things.
