00:00You stratified this tour without like telling us you're stratifying it and of
00:09course we can watch and know that it's stratified like we can watch the three
00:12of this week and say that is not like a PGA tour event doesn't feel like it's
00:18PGA tour quality yeah and I think I think it's fine if it's sold as such and
00:23and I get that there are realities of this where it's like you're not going to
00:26you're not gonna you know call the good events the signature events and then
00:30call the other ones like the these are the bad events don't watch them like you
00:33know you you have to market the league you have to do things around this to get
00:37people watch I get that but I just I think the thing we're learning through
00:42this whole process is you know and this is and this is why I give the tour a
00:47grace on this for sure is like this is this has to be an information gathering
00:51period there's been a level of disruption the sport that has created
00:56some good things some cool things I think that the live has played an XFL
01:01style role in comparison the NFL where it's doing things that are now being
01:04adopted and brought to the PGA tour and making that product better but part of
01:08that process is going to be a little bit of information gathering and trying to
01:11figure out how do we evolve this league to make it more compelling so that it's
01:15you know whatever whatever the goal is like just to take into the next
01:18iteration of modernity and I think that that it's a little bit like I like I
01:24like where we're going with the signature events if you kind of just
01:28fully take us there and say yeah there's this strata of tear strata of the tour
01:34and then there's a lower strata of this tour and we're not gonna make this one
01:38have inflated purses and do all this sort of stuff that that's just it's
01:41clearly not that yeah totally I think the biggest issue you're gonna run into
01:45is is like if it's a relegation type system which we've always had which is
01:50shuffling of cards year in year out competing for a limited amount of cards
01:55so let's say you cut it to 80 or 90 cards you know how many cards are you
02:01saying are safe you know if you're saying 70 cards are safe and 20 guys
02:05gotta go down a tour you know 20 cards for the rest of professional golf is not
02:11many cards right like we're talking about we're shrinking from 125 down to
02:1870 which is a very big jump as far as just how many good golfers there are in
02:24the world right now compared to let's say it was a couple decades ago is
02:28probably you know just the talent pool is just shrinking as far as just how
02:33good everybody really is it it just is getting tougher and tougher because I
02:38think that TV players are realizing that hey we have a rival tour we can't just
02:48roll out the same product and expect that not changing is gonna help so all
02:55gonna be interesting I hope I hope they make big radical changes versus just
03:01rolling out a similar method that they've had over how many years which is
03:05just yeah I don't know I'm a big big fan of going to good venues going to big
03:11cities going where the juice is what's what's not screwed what's not
03:15overthink is it's not that difficult
