Hualien, Chiayi To Resume Typhoon-Struck Railways in August

Taiwan is working to restore cut-off transportation links after Typhoon Gaemi left a trail of flooding and landslides across the country.

00:23Both lines aren't expected to be restored until next month.
00:27Officials say Typhoon Kami broke records with 28 heavy rain warnings issued in just
00:31two days last week.
00:33The storm left 10 people dead and displaced hundreds more.
