Bersatu's Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard has been remanded for two days in connection with his allegations of corruption involving a senior naval officer, says Kuala Lumpur police chief Commissioner Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa.

00:20He said this after witnessing the handing-over ceremony for the Dong Wangi District Police

00:27On whether Chegobard's remand would be extended, Commissioner Ruzdi said it would depend on
00:31the needs of the investigation.
00:34Chegobard was detained at the Putrajaya Police Headquarters around 3 p.m. on Sunday.
00:40His lawyer, Rafiq Rashid Ali, said his client is being investigated under Section 203, Subsection
00:47A of the Penal Code, Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act 1972, and Section 233 of the Communications
00:56and Multimedia Act 1998.
00:59In April, Chegobard was charged under the Sedition Act for allegedly inciting hatred
01:05and issuing defamatory remarks that would tarnish the good name of the young Dipertuan
01:09Agong.
