00:00Let's flip it around now. Let's talk about a wide receiver that maybe people could look
00:08for that can give them some value should they maybe go running back heavy early on.
00:12Well, Matt, if I told you you could have a wide receiver that at four straight years
00:15of a thousand yards receiving, would you be interested in that guy who was still in his
00:19prime?
00:20I would.
00:22Would you figure he would be a wide receiver or two or maybe even a low end wide receiver
00:26one?
00:27It should be.
00:28All right.
00:29Well, this guy is being drafted as wide receiver 32 right now, and his name is Terry McLaurin.
00:35And Terry McLaurin has played with some awful quarterbacks in his career.
00:38And I mean, awful, OK?
00:40He's played with almost a dozen of them over his tenure in the NFL.
00:45And that is hard for a wide receiver to find their rapport with a quarterback, the timing,
00:50all those issues that come into play.
00:51They're really important between quarterback and wide receiver.
00:55It's got a new one now.
00:56And this new one is by far the most talented one he's ever had to play with.
00:59And now he's got Jaden Daniels.
01:01And sure, there's a rookie learning curve and we can talk about that.
01:04But Jaden Daniels has the upside to make Terry McLaurin an absolute bonafide superstar.
01:09And yet here we are where his his ADP is so low, his consistency is so good.
01:14And the problem is, well, people don't get excited about Terry McLaurin.
01:16Why?
01:17Because, well, you know, five touchdowns every year.
01:19Do we really think he can improve that number to eight or nine or even 10 potentially this
01:23year?
01:24No one's challenging him for that number one job.
01:26John Dodson is not taking over as number one wide receiver for the commanders.
01:29It's Terry McLaurin and everybody else.
01:32And now you got Jaden Daniels and I can't tell you what a value.
01:34So the inverse is true here.
01:36If you are starting, let's say, with a Brees Hall or a B.
01:39John Robinson, or you go early hero running back somewhere else, you try to make up ground
01:44at wide receiver.
01:45Terry McLaurin is one of those guys.
01:47He's being drafted as a three.
01:48He's going to play at minimum as a two, and he's got the upside to finish as a high end
01:53to maybe even scratch a surface and everything breaks right.
01:56I don't want to put too much into it right away and project too heartily for Jaden Daniels.
02:01But I will say this, it's such an extreme value right now in Terry McLaurin.
02:04I have every share you could possibly imagine and every draft and every mock that I've done
02:08so far.
02:09And I can't tell you how much of a value this guy can be.
02:13And he's in this prime and he's consistent already.
02:15The floor is so good that even if he just returns his floor, it's a good investment.
02:19I think the ceiling is much higher in 2024.
