00:00Let's go to the running backs now.
00:04Let's start at number one, our early running back rankings.
00:07I can't imagine who it's going to be.
00:10I know.
00:11Spoiler alert.
00:12It's Christian McCaffrey.
00:13It's boring.
00:14It works.
00:15And if you want to take him one, one, you can.
00:16I'm taking CD lamb one, one.
00:18After that, if you want to take Christian McCaffrey at two, I think that's the log.
00:21So the conversation this year is, do you want it to go in the wide receiver realm and build
00:25your team that way with the first overall pick?
00:26Or do you want to do with Christian McCaffrey?
00:28And I just prefer to do it with TD lamb to start my team, to build that roster.
00:32That's how I, my preferences, but not going to split hairs here.
00:35Now you'll see in a lot of expert consensus rankings to overall, you'll see guys like
00:38Brees Hall, B. John Robinson's first round picks.
00:41I think they both are, but I think they're later first round picks than everybody else
00:46does.
00:47Uh, I would still prefer to go from lamb overall at one all the way down to probably AJ Brown
00:52at six before I want to take another running back, not named Christian McCaffrey.
00:56So to me, these are guys who take around eight, nine, 10 potentially.
00:58And that's how I see the board because I can understand taking Brees Hall over Puka Nakua.
01:03But I can't understand taking them over on Monroe St. Brown.
01:06That's just nuts.
01:07Uh, but after the one, one of running backs, Christian McCaffrey, Brees Hall is to B. John
01:12Robinson at three.
01:13I'm very excited to see what B. John looks like in an offense that isn't led by Arthur
01:18Smith and isn't led by a Desmond Ritter or Taylor Heineke.
01:23I want to see it with Kirk cousins, a real boy, a real live quarterback.
01:27Can we remember some of the elite seasons that Dalvin cook had?
01:30Right?
01:31I mean, those are pretty good seasons.
01:32I know it's a different offense.
01:33I get that.
01:35But when you have a capable quarterback, who's capable of putting points up on the board
01:38and moving the chains, that's very exciting news for B. John Robinson.
01:42So it's time to already get excited about B. John.
01:45I know last year I was excited, maybe it was a year too early.
01:49Now we're in a much better position.
01:50Saquon Barkley at a four for me with the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:54This is the best offensive line he's ever, ever played with period, even without Jason
01:59Kelsey there, it's still the best offensive lines ever played with, especially for running
02:03the football.
02:04So there's a little chip on the shoulder.
02:06There's a little bit of, let me prove it kind of thing.
02:08I think that's all really good.
02:10The 2024 redraft value of Saquon Barkley.
02:13I find fascinating.
02:14I love to take Barkley at the turn with the Puka Nakua.
02:16That'd be a great way to start a team this year.
02:19Jonathan Taylor at five slow start last year because he was holding out and he came back
02:23and we all know every time these guys come back and when they're holding out a little
02:26bit, it's not always the same.
02:28They hadn't some other issues and injuries and you know, Taylor's had that.
02:32So we got to knock them down a peg, uh, Jameer Gibbs at six, a brilliant season.
02:36We talked about patients.
02:37I remember people wanting to trade, wanting to drop Jameer Gibbs last year.
02:42Do you remember those conversations where we talked about buying low on Jameer Gibbs?
02:45Well, if you did, you probably got you to the playoffs and a championship last year
02:49because Jameer Gibbs was fantastic in the last six to eight games of the season.
02:53Derek Henry at seven, love Derek Henry in Baltimore again, another rejuvenation potentially
02:57for him.
02:58It's a team that has to run the football, committed to run the football, much better
03:01quarterback situation, a lot of touchdown potential here for Derek Henry this year.
03:06So in standard leagues, especially or half PPR circle, Henry is a great value.
03:11Again, Alvin Camara at eight, Travis 18 at nine Rashad white at 10, a very solid season
03:15for him.
03:16I have Kyron all the way to 11, which is lower than the consensus who hasn't met seven, uh,
03:2012, a Joe mix in there at Houston, new spot for him.
03:23But the guy I want to talk about right now, and again, Kyron's dinged for me because of
03:27the foot issue.
03:28It's early.
03:29That can change.
03:30If the foot looks good and he's in camp again in a couple months, okay, great.
03:33We'll move him up to the top 10, but right now he's outside of it because of that.
03:37But Alvin Camara, I want to talk about for a second.
03:39I finished as RB 24 last year, but he only had six touchdowns total.
03:44He still was the guy working at the top of this depth chart.
03:48He was still the every down back.
03:49He's still the guy in PPR.
03:50Lee's going to catch a ton of balls.
03:52Last year he got 75 balls for the new Orleans saints, a team that had terrible offensive
03:56line play.
03:57They addressed it a little bit this off season through the draft.
03:59They certainly could get better, but I don't understand why all of a sudden we're abandoning
04:03Alvin Camara as an RB one.
04:05I think it's a poor idea.
04:09He is more involved in the passing game than so many other running backs.
04:11I don't believe in the depth chart behind him.
04:12The Kendra Millers of the world don't really scare me off at this point.
04:15So I think Matt, we're just kind of, once again, like Travis Kelsey or Patrick Holmes,
04:20we get kind of tired sometimes or fatigue of players that are just really good.
04:26I'll take those players.
04:27If you don't want them, I'm happy to have them.
04:29I mean, Jamal Williams was there last year, but like, again, is Jamal Williams scaring
04:32us necessarily?
04:33No.
04:34For me, Alvin Camara, once again, is that guy that I come back to and I say, if you're
04:38going to let Alvin Camara be an RB two, which again, the consensus has them as RB 17 right
04:43now.
04:44I'll take that every single day of the week.
04:45You give me me as an RB two, sure.
04:49On all my teams, Matt, all of them.
