00:00Hey it's Adrian and if you're looking to protect your brand new Galaxy Z Fold 6, you're going to

00:04want to check out these carbon fiber cases from Becks. So this is their Aurora Air case and if

00:09you know anything about Kevlar fiber, it's extremely durable while remaining lightweight

00:14and it offers great scratch resistance. Now these are made with 600D Kevlar fiber. Now this is their

00:19montage case which offers hinge protection. Now one thing to note about both of these cases is

00:24that the protection is limited to the back of the phone. There is no front case on these.

00:29So if you're looking to protect the front of the phone, well you can also use their Glass

00:33Warrior screen protector which is supposed to give you great touch response, excellent clarity while

00:38remaining scratch resistant, and providing edge to edge coverage. So this is really for someone

00:43who just wants a minimalist type of hand feel while having some sort of protection. So let's

00:48take a closer look at what this combination looks like and a big thanks to Becks for sending these

00:52out for review. In the Glass Warrior box we have this mounting guide for it. There's also a huge

00:59anti-static sticker, one pane of the Glass Warrior screen protector, cleaning wipes, dust stickers,

01:05and cloth. So the box comes with the rear case for the Z Fold 6. So here is the Aurora Air in the

01:10Kevlar fiber. This is the pattern and look at how thin that is and really in the hand I can't really

01:16tell that I'm even holding anything. Now the montage Air case, it's a little bit heavier like

01:21I could feel that I'm holding this but it's still very lightweight. And we can see this is the hinge

01:25protection it's built in and it's connected right to the edge of the case here and also fairly thin

01:33as well. So I'm just going to put these on and let you know my thoughts. To install the screen protector

01:38we'll first use the cleaning wipe. So I've already wiped the screen down a little bit with a lint-free

01:42cloth but I'll go ahead and use the supplied cleaning wipe on top of that. And it looks pretty

01:49clean to me so I'll go to the next step which is to put the mount down. Now it does show it has a top

01:55and a bottom so I'll just drop it on here. So we're just going to pull down on here and make

02:01sure that you leave the glass just like this so that there's no dust that can get at the bottom

02:06and then I'll just drop it gently into place just like so. And it mentions to press in the middle

02:16and that's going to help get the bubbles out so I'll just press it in the middle there.

02:20And this is what the Glass Warrior screen protector looks like once it's installed on the

02:25Z Fold 6. So if we take a closer look it covers the usable screen but it leaves the black side

02:30bezel uncovered. And taking a look at a top view you can definitely see there is a raised glass

02:38layer on there but the clarity seems pretty good. I'll just open the screen up and yeah there is

02:44still reflection on here so it doesn't have a type of anti-matte coating but yeah the screen is still

02:49very vivid and bright. And in terms of touch functionality so you can see I can just cycle

02:55through and I didn't even turn on the option for touch sensitivity but let me turn that on right

03:01now so you can see you could actually turn on touch sensitivity to just make it a bit more

03:05responsive if you find that it's impeding anything but it seems pretty fine to me even without that

03:11option turned on. And just kind of gliding my fingers down and navigating around my fingers

03:16not getting stuck or anything like that no type of friction so it seems perfectly usable just like

03:22the original screen just with enhanced protection. And this is what the Aurora Armor Air looks like

03:27on the Z Fold 6 and if we take a side view we can see that the case doesn't add much bulk at all.

03:33It is such a slim thin and lightweight case the phone almost feels stock except you have the added

03:40benefit of having protection on the back and a nice grip thanks to this weave type of pattern.

03:46Looking at the camera lens and module you can see it's nicely recessed in there so it's no

03:52problem anytime you put the phone face down it's going to be fully protected. We have cutouts for

03:57the microphone ports at the top of the phone and at the bottom along with the type-c charging port.

04:01Now looking at the side where we have the volume and power button since the case is so slim it's

04:06very easy to lock and unlock the phone very quickly. Opening and closing the phone is also

04:11a little bit easier since we now have grip on the right side here. Looking at the inner screen view

04:17the lip on the case does extend a little bit higher than the frame of the phone however if

04:22you put it face down it's not going to be protected on the cover screen side because there's no cover

04:28on there. And even though I have oily fingerprints there's no type of residue being left behind even

04:34when I look at it at different angles. When you place the phone down on a table while it's folded

04:39up there is noticeable wobble and if we take a top view you can see that's because of how much

04:44this camera protector area here juts out. Now when you open the phone up you can see there's also

04:52wobble as well of course because one side is a little bit elevated due to the case and the other

04:56side has no case at all except for the screen protector. And if I try to use the S Pen on here

05:01you can see that it does move a little bit but if I kind of place pressure on one corner here

05:07and I write I can keep it you know pretty much in place. And we still retain quick and easy

05:12wireless charging. The Glass Warrior Screen Protector does add some level of protection

05:17just for the usable screen space but if you were to drop your phone and it landed on any of the

05:22corners or on the hinge well you'd be out of luck. Now if you wanted to kind of jimmy rig something

05:28so I have this really cheap plastic front protector case and I'll just slide that on right

05:33there and it's easily able to fit it with the Glass Warrior Screen Protector. There's really no

05:38issues and I could go ahead open and close the phone so just you know in a pinch or if I really

05:43wanted to I could probably find something better matching maybe something you know fully silver or

05:48fully black and you can still place it on top of the Glass Warrior Screen Protector. But if you

05:53want the most stealth type of setup and hand feel it would be the combination of the Glass Warrior

05:58Screen Protector on the front here and the Aurora Armor Air Kevlar case. Let's remove the Aurora

06:05Armor Air case from the phone and you'll notice it's pretty easy for me to remove this case

06:10because I've just been taking it on and off to you know weigh it to do thumbnails to do b-roll so

06:15when you have yours set up it's not going to pop out that easily because you're going to have this

06:20adhesive strip which I have. It's just I've been using this you know quite a lot so it's not as

06:25effective you know removing it you know maybe 20 or 30 times while making this video. Now for the

06:30montage case same deal we have an adhesive strip here and I have been removing this on and off

06:35quite a bit as well but to put it on you're just going to snap it into place and it goes in very

06:40easily and this is what it looks like with the phone fully opened. And this is what the montage

06:44armor air case looks like on the Z Fold 6 fully closed and I really like this stealth black kind

06:50of matte type of look. Now in terms of grippability it still has really good grip it's not a slippery

06:56surface you can see as I move my thumb there's some friction however with the Aurora Armor Air

07:02case there's definitely more grip because the weave pattern is actually a texture that you can

07:06feel it's raised and here it's nice and flat. Now if I just run my fingernail across this you can see

07:12I have a little bit of lines but I can easily just you know kind of get rid of those by just running

07:17my finger along it so it's you know fairly stiff and durable. Now we have the Banks logo here so

07:24designed by Banks in the bottom corner here and if we take a look at the lens modules

07:29they're nicely recessed in that housing that protective housing so again when you put the phone

07:35down you aren't going to have any issues however there is significant rocking same as with the

07:40Aurora Armor Air case just because of this protrusion here. Now if we go ahead and put the

07:46phone flat down the rocking is still there but because we have the hinge going right down the

07:52middle you know it's not a diagonal rocking it's either on this side or this side and same as with

07:57the Aurora Armor Air opening and closing is very easy now that we have this added grippable area

08:03on the right side of the case and looking at the inside screen the lip extends ever so slightly

08:10but again you're still not going to want to put your phone face down because there's no type of

08:14race protection on the cover screen side. Since the montage case is also very slim and lightweight

08:21opening or locking and unlocking the phone is just as fluid and responsive as with the Aurora Armor

08:26Air case. When using the S Pen as long as I don't press too much it's still fairly easy to go ahead

08:32and use it now you can see I do have a little bit of rocking but if I keep my palm down on this side

08:36I can kind of keep it a little bit planted and navigating around on the phone you can see there's

08:40not a tendency for it to wobble like if I have my finger kind of in one panel since it's only going

08:46to require you know a lot of effort to kind of push it down on that side so if I was to swipe over

08:51you know go ahead tap on this you know I'm not tapping overly hard so for the most part it stays

08:57fairly stable on here. Now the hinge on here is a nice and textured hinge so you have a lot of grip

09:03which is why I prefer the hand feel on this since the hinge is so slippery on the phone when it's

09:08exposed so this is a great kind of design choice. Now one thing I noticed about this is this is

09:14actually magnetic you can see I could put this box cutter shake it put it upside down and it stays in

09:19place so yeah we have a magnetic hinge here and this just flaps or snaps right back into place

09:25really easily so opening and closing this is what it looks like top down view and you can see that

09:30slides out of the way very easily and when I'm opening it I'm kind of putting my fingers on the

09:35hinge which has the grip and opening it like that so yeah bottom view let's see and then a top view

09:46and just like the Aurora Armor Air there is no front protection with this case so you will have

09:50to run the GlassWarrior screen protector now like with the previous case you can still put on you

09:57know your preferred type of front protection if you really want to have something there

10:01and you can see that easily fits over the GlassWarrior screen protector and the hinge

10:05still functions perfectly well as it should there doesn't seem to be any type of impedance

10:12while I open and close and since this left frame on here is not held in place with adhesive you

10:19can see I can kind of shift it out of place or move it around when I do open the hinge

10:24the hinge will roll over on it which is why you're hearing that click there let's hear it again

10:29but in no way does it prevent me from stopping opening and closing the case fluidly you'll just

10:36hear that noise unless you get a case where you know the adhesive keeps this frame nicely in place

10:42same as with the Aurora Armor Air case we have quick and easy wireless charging so the Banks

10:47Aurora Armor Air and Montage Armor Air are beautiful Kevlar fiber cases that don't add a

10:53lot of bulk at all they're super slim and lightweight but I do prefer the Montage Armor

10:59Air case because it kind of widens the phone a bit with the hinge protection and I've always

11:04felt like you know the Z Fold 6 I would prefer it to be a little bit wider now on top of that

11:09we do have this hinge protector here which is nice and textured and adds to the grippability

11:15of the case because the hinge by itself you know can be a little bit slippery so it's good to have

11:20that protection and yeah we do have you know nice added grippability overall we still retain wireless

11:26charging and you know it's good at resisting smudges um fingerprint scratches and things like

11:31that now I know some of you are going to wonder why would someone buy a phone case that just has

11:36rear protection and there's no front cover protection at all and believe it or not there's

11:40actually a decent amount of users who like this type of slim and stealth look and hand feel and

11:46you know they don't have a history of dropping their phone so they just want something with basic

11:50protection anytime they put it down on a table or any type of surface where the camera lens is

11:55protected and you know just the back of the body so it doesn't get scratched and of course you know

12:00you can run the glassware screen protector or any screen protector that you like on here but if the

12:05phone is dropped on any of the corners or if you know you bump this into a wall or you know some

12:10kind of hard surface well you're not going to be protected so you do have to know what you're

12:14getting into and you do have to be you know mindful as a user of how well you take care of

12:19your phone and you know how many instances you've had of dropping it or bumping it because this may

12:24not be the case for you if you're someone who expects to drop or bump your phone but if you

12:29like and appreciate this type of look and slim and stealth setup and you want to pick up either the

12:34Aurora Armor Air or the Montage Armor Air case which I'm holding right now I'm going to leave
