00:00Hey it's Adrian and if you just got your brand new Z Fold 6 and you're looking to protect it

00:04with a clear case you're going to want to check out these two options from Speck. So I have their

00:07Presidio Luxe Fold which has the shimmering or glitter effect and I have their Presidio Perfect

00:12Clear Case. Now these have micro band treatment or application to help resist stains and odor

00:18causing bacteria and these are also meant to survive up to a 13 foot drop even with the

00:22phone open thanks to the rubber cushioning. So I'm going to put these on the Z Fold 6, let you know

00:26how easy it is to install, the hand feel, how much protection they provide, and a wobble test,

00:31and you can decide if this is worth it for you. And if you are interested in picking these up

00:38closer look and a big thanks to Speck for sending these out for review. All right let's take a closer

00:42look at what comes in the boxes. So it looks like it's just a case with no other accessories,

00:48so installation should be very simple. And looking at the cases you could see that these cases have

00:53no hinge protection so if you're looking for something with hinge protection you'll have to

00:57look elsewhere. Now in terms of the design, so it's one piece of plastic, you can see it's connected

01:02here so it's not two separate pieces, it's a one piece case. So I'll put on the clear case first

01:08since I think that's what most people are going to want. So I'll just start with the camera module

01:11area first, tuck that in there, and that's a super quick install. So it's already fitted

01:19and closed, one of the quickest installs. Now taking a closer look, we have the Speck logo

01:24at the bottom left here and it's basically nice and clear. There's not much of you know a texture

01:29or anything going on here so you can see the phone's true colors. And then we have no hinge

01:35protection on the side and on the front we have this front cover. Now with this little left frame

01:41here you can see that that's moving in and out of place because there is no adhesive on it and it's

01:46such a thin frame on the actual Z Fold 6. Now opening and closing it is pretty easy. I can see

01:53on the side here we have these raised type of cushions here, take a look here, so you can see

02:00it's much easier to open the phone since we have this little indent here. Really easy to open and

02:05close. Now one thing I notice is when I'm opening and closing, my fingers naturally rest on this

02:10frame that moves for you know just to have kind of grip or purchase and every time I open it that

02:15shifts out of place. This is an issue I had with the official Samsung case which actually had adhesive

02:21so considering this doesn't have any adhesive you know this is to be expected so you'll have

02:26to see if this is something that bothers you long term or not. But I can say this is definitely

02:32easier to open because of these kind of extended grip or protrusions here. And looking at port

02:39access so we have cutouts for microphones and the speaker grill and on the bottom we have a large

02:45cutout for the charging port microphone and another speaker grill cutout. Obviously on the other side

02:50there's no hinge protection at all and on the side with the power button and rocker you could see

02:55that this piece of plastic here extends out quite a bit so it's a pretty big indent here. Now in

03:01terms of how well you can lock and unlock the phone I can still easily do it. I can do volume down,

03:07volume up and it seems fine enough. You just have to press a little bit more but because the

03:12fingerprint reader is so sensitive you could see I could just gently put my finger on there

03:17so unlocking and locking the phone is still relatively easy. And looking at protection so

03:21you could see the camera lens and modules there and the plastic portion does extend enough to

03:28cover that in case they were to place this flat down on a table or if it was to fall

03:33they are sufficiently cushioned. Same with the volume button and the power button you can see

03:38that's a pretty big indent and just overall looking at the front here you could see how much

03:43those lips are raised on the top, the bottom and on the sides. And in terms of the hand feel it does

03:51add some bulk to it. You could definitely see where the edge of the phone ends and how much thick

03:58plastic is here to offer protection in the raised lip. However it doesn't feel like too unwieldy like

04:05I could still go ahead and manipulate the phone, open it easily, open and close. So yeah I really

04:10do like the design in terms of how they've made this really easy to open and it's sufficiently

04:15padded everywhere where I wouldn't mind dropping it. You can see as I drop it it has a tendency to

04:21just kind of bounce back up a bit because of the rubber in here. And in terms of grippability it's

04:26kind of a blend between a super hard plastic case and kind of a soft feel and you can see as I run

04:32my thumb it's not super smooth there is a little bit of friction as I glide so you do have a little

04:38bit of grip especially if you have kind of like oily fingerprints you will be able to grip it.

04:43Of course on the inside it's going to be very slippery and you'll have to be mindful of this

04:48when you open and close it so you don't kind of you know just lose control opening and closing it.

04:52But overall it's a good hand feel not too much bulk and it also feels very secure. I don't feel

04:58like the case is going to come apart and if I was to try and remove the case this is how quickly it

05:03can be done. So that's the front cover done and then the rear cover and then yeah the case is off

05:10and then in terms of putting it back on very quick again just lay it over press it down snaps into

05:16place and it just stays in place. So it's a pretty good design considering it's a one-piece case.

05:22And there's also no type of flexing or shifting of the case except for this one area everywhere

05:28else it's nice and snug and tight on here when you open and close. Also notice that if I wanted

05:33to watch kind of a vertical video on TikTok I could just put the phone down hit the table and

05:38you know it actually stays decently in place considering this is all nice and flat and thick

05:44and cushioned enough. So overall I would say you can definitely trust this clear case it's a softer

05:50type of plastic it's not that super hard type of plastic so it does have some give. We have

05:55rubber cushions around it which are meant to compress every time this gets dropped or on

06:00impact and this can be dropped up to 13 feet and it'll still be protected. Now when it's open

06:06that's where you're going to get most of the protection because the hinge is not exposed so

06:10you know it can just be dropped that way. However if you were to drop it you know and it lands

06:15hinge side down well you're going to be out of luck especially since this moves out of the way

06:20but once it's opened if it's dropped you can see you have so much raised protection it's pretty

06:26much going to be cushioned everywhere when this is dropped so something to be mindful of. One area

06:31where you're not getting full protection aside from the hinge is when we open the inner screen

06:35up you can see this black frame on the phone it lines up pretty much exactly with the raised lip

06:42from the case so if this was supposed to be placed face down or dropped face down there's

06:48not going to be any type of protection to the inner screen and I think the reason for that is

06:53that they wanted to ensure that the hinge folded perfectly flat so don't expect any protection if

07:00the phone is to land you know inner screen side down. You can see there's a very small nodule or

07:06bump right on the corners of the case on the inside but for me it's still not high enough

07:12to give me confidence if I was supposed to drop this phone face down. I would have liked to see

07:17it a little bit thicker even if it meant the hinge wouldn't close perfectly flat. And let's take a

07:22look at the wobble test so just straight down like this a little bit of wobble not the worst that

07:28I've seen pretty manageable and then if we open the phone fully let's see so a little bit of wobble

07:34again not too much and if you take a look at a top down view we can see that the camera module

07:39area just protrudes a little bit not too bad. Now if you're going to use this with an s-pen

07:44this is a type of wobble you can expect so I'll just do like and sub and you can see not much

07:53wobble it's very usable now the only way you're going to get wobble is if you put your hand or

07:57your side of your hand down but as long as you keep it down you can still go ahead and you know

08:02use this pretty easily without significant wobble so it's pretty good. All right so I'm going to

08:06take off the clear case and put on their Presidio Luxe case which is this glitter and shimmering

08:13type and that's nice and easy just going to pop this on I'll leave it this way so you can see

08:20just basically press down on every corner and it's installed. And taking a look at the Luxe

08:27case so it's pretty much the same as the Presidio Clear it's just that it has this shimmering

08:33or glitter effect which I really like but yeah pretty much the camera lens module juts out or

08:39protrudes just about the same so in terms of wobble it's exactly the same as I demonstrated

08:45on the previous case you know when I was using the s-pen same thing when it's just flat down like that

08:51and in terms of access exactly the same so easy fingerprint reader same type of cutouts for the

08:58ports as well and the same unprotected hinge at the side here so yeah pretty much everything is

09:05the same it's just that the design has changed so it's up to you you know which do you think

09:09looks better the Luxe or the Perfect Clear and I prefer the Luxe look much better. By the way

09:16the hand feel feels exactly the same as on the Perfect Clear case because the shimmering or

09:20glitter effect can't be felt on the outside so it's basically the same type of grippability and

09:25with both of the cases we still retain access to quick and easy wireless charging so if you're

09:31looking for a clear case to protect your Z Fold 6 the Presidio Perfect Clear and Luxe cases are

09:36pretty good it doesn't add too much bulk it's still manageable and it makes the phone much

09:42easier to open and close either from the bottom or from the top you still retain quick access

09:48to all of the ports and installation is super quick you know installing it or removing it if

09:53you ever want to clean your phone or to get access to the sim card tray and it stays nicely in place

09:58except for this area here which is a weak point with a lot of cases since it's such

10:02a thin area so if you're looking to protect your brand new Z Fold 6 with a clear case the Presidio

10:08Luxe and Perfect Clear are pretty good options the only thing you have to be mindful of is that

10:13there's no hinge protection and when you open it the inside it's pretty much flush all the way

10:19around with the lip so it's actually better to drop this phone you know down this way or this

10:25way or this way but not on the hinge and not with the inner screen otherwise the hand feel feels good

10:30there's quick access to all the ports it's easy to remove the case and put it back if you need

10:34access to the sim card tray and it's a pretty good hand feel without being too heavy so if you're
