A bright start for the vast majority of the country, as high pressure build its influence from the southwest. Cloud will be present in the far north, drifted form the sea. 00:00Hello, good morning. Well, many of us will be waking up to some bright sunshine this
00:04morning and if you do have plans this weekend, I'm pleased to tell you that that weather
00:07is going to be sticking around. The odd spot of mist and fog this morning, particularly
00:12in rural spots, though it is going to clear fairly quickly as the sun rises, leading to
00:16a bright morning and on the whole, a largely fine and dry day across the country to end
00:22the weekend. Perhaps a bit cloudier in the northwest later on into the afternoon, but
00:27where you do catch that sunshine, it is going to be feeling very warm. So do take care
00:31as UV levels are going to be quite high in places today. Now through into the evening,
00:36there'll be plenty of late evening sunny spells to end the day, but cloud is going to thicken
00:41up from the northwest and we're likely to see some outbreaks of rain and drizzle as
00:44we head towards dawn. Elsewhere, though, largely dry once again with some clear spells where
00:50we're likely to see some mist and fog. And you can see for the temperatures, it is going
00:53to be a slightly warmer night compared to what we had last night. Now, to start the
00:59new working week once again, there's going to be plenty of dry and fine settled weather
01:03around still feeling warm where you do catch the sunshine. A build of high cloud, though,
01:07means that it could turn a little bit hazy into the afternoon. A different story in the
01:11northwest of Scotland and western parts of Northern Ireland, where we'll see more cloud
01:16and some outbreaks of rain. So quite a damp day on offer here. And that's where the temperatures
01:21are going to struggle a little bit. But elsewhere, we can see widely in the mid to high 20s.
01:26So once again, those high UV levels and it is going to be feeling very warm where you
01:31catch the sunshine. Now, if you want to know if this warm weather is going to continue
01:36or what I can tell you, it is going to be fine and dry to start the new week. And those
01:40temperatures are going to be on the rise, though, as things start to turn more hot and
01:44humid. That means we could see quite a thundery breakdown from the middle part of the week.
