After years of preparation, Paris will be kicking off the Olympic Games with an unprecedented opening ceremony on the River Seine in a matter of hours on Friday (July 26).

Up to three billion people are expected to tune in for the opening ceremony, in which athletes will sail about 6km down the Seine to join in the ceremony.

00:30The preparation for the Olympics was good, it was long, but we were looking forward to
00:51having the Olympics in Paris, and the particularity is that I am a fan of the Olympic flame,
00:55so I was looking forward to the event, to see Paris changing, to see that we welcome
00:59the world, it's really very positive.
01:01I think that everything is very well organized, especially in A, the police are really very
01:08nice, because we ask if we can pass, they give us good explanations on how to go,
01:13but of course there are a lot of people, and there are a lot of things that we can't
01:17see up close, but we knew when we came here that it was the Olympics, so that's it.
01:22We didn't know it was the Olympics, because we had made a booking in Paris,
01:28we didn't think there would be the Olympics, so for us it was really a different organization,
01:33but that's it, that's how it was.
01:40I think that those who will be able to attend will be delighted, because it's a magnificent
01:45setting, it's much more prestigious than a stadium, and I think that it also opens
01:51on presentations that are very original, but unfortunately, we will see that behind
01:57our screens, it's a shame.
