00:00So that was, like, definitely jarring and bizarre,
00:02but I guess I'm in a red lip doing a cool video,
00:05so it worked out, you know?
00:08♪♪
00:15Tell me about your very first audition
00:17or your worst audition.
00:19When was my first-ever audition?
00:21I should remember that.
00:22I remember six nights, seven days
00:24was one of the best times I had.
00:25I went in there and got along with everybody,
00:27and then I got the part.
00:29But I think I was cut out of that movie.
00:30You just see my shoulder.
00:32So when I get fan mail and people are like,
00:33you were so good in six nights, seven days,
00:35I'm like, mm-hmm, you went to IMBD
00:37and just saw that I was in that movie.
00:39One of my buddies from high school
00:41was saying he was auditioning for this movie
00:44called Ender's Game, and I went with him,
00:46and then it was kind of like extras casting,
00:49and then they made us all read this line,
00:50and it was nightmarish, launchy, keep them to yourself.
00:54And the next thing you know, they gave me the line,
00:56and then I got upgraded to, like, a principal player.
00:59I felt really special.
01:01I find auditions nerve-wracking inherently all the time.
01:08When I start auditioning, I would very quietly
01:12go to the bathroom and mumble this song
01:15called I Believe in You to myself
01:17to try and inspire just some confidence.
01:20Yeah.
01:26The first ever real in-person audition
01:28I went to as an actor, there was no sides or anything.
01:31It was like, so she's a dancer, and then I'm like a dancer.
01:36Okay, I'm just like, but in a nightclub?
01:38I'm like, so fuck, it's a stripper.
01:40And I dressed up at what I thought
01:43was like the sluttiest, like, stripper moment,
01:45but it was not.
01:47I walked in, and there was, like,
01:49a hallway full of, like, body thongs.
01:52I mean, pasties.
01:54I mean, it was not a game.
01:56And so that's when I learned how, like,
01:58the importance of, like, going full on character mode.
02:02You can't just pull up half-ass.
02:05I mean, no pun intended, but yeah.
02:07I don't think I ever once got even remotely close
02:12to booking something via an audition.
02:16Sorry.
02:17Whose phone is that?
02:18Mine, I'm so sorry.
02:19It's okay.
02:20Sorry, sorry, sorry.
02:21It's okay.
02:22But I do remember one.
02:24I did such a horrible job
02:29that the casting agent was like,
02:32When I was a new model,
02:33I had the worst casting experiences.
02:36People don't really respect your time.
02:37I feel like the longest one I've ever waited
02:39was six-plus hours just for, like, a 10-second walk.
02:46Tell me about your most embarrassing audition.
02:48Oh, during my Spider-Man audition with Tom Holland,
02:51I scratched him really badly somehow.
02:54I think I was like,
02:55oh my God, I'm so sorry.
02:55I'm so sorry.
02:56I'm so sorry.
02:57I'm so sorry.
02:58I'm so sorry.
02:59I'm so sorry.
03:00I'm so sorry.
03:00I'm so sorry.
03:01Somehow, I think I was trying to pull his arm
03:04and he was literally bleeding.
03:05That was embarrassing.
03:07Luckily, I still got the job after injuring Spider-Man, so.
03:13One of my only in-person auditions
03:15was for the show I'm currently on.
03:19I was in the audition room
03:21and I was trying to, like, you know,
03:22find community amongst my fellow actresses.
03:25And there was a scene that we were all there to do
03:28where the character had to cry.
03:30And there was a girl in there
03:31and she was fucking tearing it.
03:33And I was just trying to, like, talk to people.
03:35And I don't know that people
03:36were really necessarily trying to talk to me.
03:38And I was like, damn, like, she's really,
03:41she's fucking getting after it.
03:42And I think one of the actresses thought
03:44that maybe I was, like, talking shit in some way.
03:47And she was like, that's my friend Rachel.
03:48She's actually really talented.
03:49And I was like, oh, I'm not trying,
03:50I just, I'm not trying to, sorry.
03:53So that was, like, definitely jarring and bizarre.
03:56But I guess I'm in a red lip doing a cool video.
03:59So it worked out, you know.
04:04I was auditioning over Zoom.
04:06It was for a dramatic role.
04:09And I was pantomiming petting a horse.
04:12And as I was pantomiming petting a horse,
04:16there was an altercation that was happening
04:19outside my house between two people.
04:21This guy was being like,
04:22you'll never fucking touch me again.
04:24And I was, like, acting like I was petting a horse.
04:27And then hearing this guy being like,
04:29get the fuck away from me,
04:30you'll never fucking see my face again.
04:31I got the part, though,
04:32and I made $300 billion in that role, which was awesome.
04:39Oh, that was so much fun, you guys.
04:42Do I say bye?
04:43Do I do something?
04:44Or just leave?
04:45This way?
