00:00In LA, courtesy of the long ball and one exceptionally long ball that traveled 473 feet off the bat
00:11of one Shohei Ohtani, complete the sweep over the Red Sox.
00:169-6 the victory for Los Angeles last night at home, booked as an ever so slight favorite
00:21at minus 116.
00:22Total of 8.5, nearly doubled last night at the ravine, 9-6.
00:27Shohei Ohtani, DRS, as we mentioned, hit his 30th home run of the season.
00:32That leads everybody in the National League, second most in MLB, only behind Aaron Judge
00:37in his 35, in the 30th homer of the year for Ohtani.
00:42Off the bat was like a rocket blasting off and it traveled 473 feet.
00:48Yeah, pretty impressive, 15 total runs.
00:51I joked last night watching that game, hey look, the Juice Baseballs are back in Major
00:54League Baseball.
00:56They got one last night with those 15 total runs, but also take a look at this.
01:01The Dodgers scored nine runs and a lot of those were by the long ball, so you say, oh
01:05my goodness, look at that, three of four, nine, four runners in scoring position because
01:08they kept knocking everybody in if you're in first place, you're just hitting solo home
01:12runs.
01:13Conversely, the Red Sox did hit their fair share of home runs as well, but at the same
01:16time, they went three of 14 with runners in scoring position.
01:18They could have easily won that baseball game if they just converted on some of those.
01:22You take a look at Paxton, who one of those guys I always measure up with before games
01:26start and say, sometimes his ERA is decent, now it's a 4.43 at this point, it was a lot
01:30lower a couple weeks back, but that X-fifth number has always been high, which means not
01:34striking guys out, giving up fly balls, and when you have an atmosphere last night that
01:38was conducive to hitting home runs, he's going to give up a few of those.
01:41Now yesterday, he only gave up one, but when you take a look at that lineup for the Dodgers,
01:45this is what gets so scary.
01:47Like Mookie Betts is still going to come back, this team is going to hit, you're just waiting
01:51for the pitching to come around, but the one thing we know, even if the pitching doesn't
01:54come around, like last night giving up six total runs, you still have the ability to
01:57put up nine on the board.
01:59This is why the Dodgers are so fun to watch, and also bet, RBI props, team total props,
02:04they can really hit, and if they're getting their mojo back right now, that's the right
02:07time.
