00:00I'm out here on the West Coast, Best Coast, the Phillies overtake the Dodgers for that
00:07top spot.
00:08So let's talk about my Dodgers coming off a series there with the Brewers and the Brewers
00:12right at the tables.
00:13They get the win there last night, six to four, they dropped the first two, win the
00:17next two.
00:18And for the Dodgers and the Brewers, it is a split in Milwaukee.
00:22Yeah, we could be getting a playoff preview here, Dubs, of these two baseball teams heading
00:26down the stretch and also trying to find out if you have that edge.
00:30You take a look, as you talked about the Philadelphia Phillies, they've had a nice streak here against
00:33the Dodgers, the two series, winning five of six games.
00:36So anything that you can plant in your head as something positive when you see this team
00:40down the line, you're going to like that.
00:42And also announce that Christian Yelich is not going to be back in the lineup for those
00:45Milwaukee Brewers.
00:47That's certainly not going to help them.
00:48And also, if you're fighting against the best pitcher right now in the Dodgers for me, who
00:52could be Jack Flaherty, acquire him at the deadline.
00:54He goes five innings pitch, three earned runs, which wasn't bad.
00:57It's a quality start per se, but those are the games that you expect to win.
01:01So good for the Brewers on fighting back in this one.
01:03Myers was on the mound, who I didn't think was certainly in the same class as Flaherty,
01:06but he does go five and two thirds innings pitch.
01:08He gave up four runs, but only two of those runs earned to keep them in the ballgame.
01:12The one thing you want to look out for, too, is the Brewers do have a pretty solid bullpen,
01:16and that's Devin Williams on the back end.
01:18He got his third save of the year, and you say, wow, only three saves.
01:21Well, he was injured for the better part of this season.
01:24That could be one of those hammers down the stretch.
01:25When you have a lead, that's the perfect guy to close the door.
01:28And for the Dodgers, you can't win every game.
01:31You're still on the road.
01:32But the problem is now you lose a game yesterday.
01:34The Padres and the Diamondbacks didn't play yesterday.
01:38So now that two and a half game lead is now down to two, and what a run it's going to
01:42be in the NLS.
01:43But I don't think anybody in Dodger land is panicking at this point.
01:4671 and 51, getting healthy, Mookie Betts back in the lineup.
01:50Yesterday, he didn't start, but was a pinch hitter late in that ballgame.
01:53We'll get it together.
01:54It's fine.
01:55But that's a pretty good playoff preview that we just saw from that series, Dubs.
