A61 crash: Six people dead including two children following crash in Yorkshire
Four adults and two children have died in a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Yorkshire. The crash between a Ford Focus and the motorbike occurred on the A61 between Staincross, Barnsley, and Newmillerdam, Wakefield. A man, a woman, a boy and a girl who were travelling in the car were confirmed dead at the scene.

00:46than that there'll be no traffic passing through the villages between Mapplewell
00:51and Staying Cross. Absolutely awful. I passed here yesterday 20 minutes before
00:58the incident to pick me husband up from work and obviously coming back we just
01:04got diverted and I knew straight away something bad had happened. It was only a
01:09matter of time, it's been a long year, something needs to be done. And you've
01:15just left some flowers this morning? I don't know who they are but becoming a
01:20grandparent myself for the first time and knowing that there's children and I can't get out.
01:31Well I'm shocked really. Although there's nothing along the roads but they do go
01:37very fast down here and they used to have a camera at the end of the houses.
01:41It didn't work but it stopped them speeding but they took that away and
01:46since then they just go too fast. And has that been a problem for quite a while?

01:58Well I'm gonna have to go a massive detour now because I'm in a truck. If I go up there
02:01I'll hit a little bridge up there so I can't even get to turn around at the minute.
