00:00well known in terms of, you know, what's your main offer and things.
00:02What is so special about Pacific Northwest?
00:04Honestly, I think it's that.
00:05I think it's just like the loyalty that U-Dub have with me.
00:09And just from the jump, how Coach Peterson,
00:13you know, extended that offer to me like late in that process.
00:16And how he talked to my mother and, you know, how he assured my mom
00:21how I was how I was going to be raised essentially in college.
00:25So that definitely plays a huge part.
00:27And I just I just love the atmosphere out here.
00:29I love the weather.
00:30I know that sounds crazy, but I don't like being too hot.
00:33So I love that.
00:35And yeah, it's just it's just big.
00:36I'm just I'm just glad to be back out here for sure.
00:38And now I know you mentioned U-Dub ties.
00:41What was your thoughts on last season?
00:42How special that run was for the team?
00:43Man, it was it was awesome to watch, man.
00:45It was it was exciting just watching that run.
00:48It was such a such a positive, positive thing to watch throughout the year
00:52and just to be able to watch the games and just to, you know,
00:56keep tabs on it as the year went.
00:57And I mean, it was awesome.
00:58It was awesome for the city.
00:59It was awesome for the school.
01:01Awesome for the alumni just to get to watch and just experience that.
01:04And yeah, man, it was it was awesome season for sure.
01:07And I asked him about this, but just what is it like being around Mike McDonald?
01:11And just obviously you've been through a couple of different countries.
01:13How would you describe his demeanor and what he what he's like to play for?
01:16Yeah, I mean, yeah, you definitely get the sense that he wants to cement a culture.
01:21He's eager.
01:23He demands a lot, you know, and in a positive way.
01:27And, you know, he's a he's a he's a football savvy guy.
01:31You know, I was in Cleveland for four years.
01:33So I went against that, you know, that Baltimore style of defense.
01:36And it's it's definitely something that it's definitely the real deal.
01:40So being able to practice against that
01:42and practice against the guy who was installing those defenses,
01:45it just puts you at another notch when you're going
01:48when you're on offense or playing against defenses throughout the year.
01:51So, you know, it's great to be playing under him.
01:54I'm excited to get the roller for sure in training camp.
01:56And same thing with Ryan Grubb.
01:57Obviously, his offense is what they did at UW.
02:00You got to see it on the at the fans perspective.
02:03What's it like as an offensive lineman?
02:04Because it really does seem tailored to help out
02:06the offensive lineman from a protection standpoint.
02:09Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
02:11I mean, yes, definitely explosive.
02:13I mean, obviously, an offense being explosive is huge
02:17when it comes to helping offensive line out.
02:19And, you know, we've had we had some really good big plays.
02:24So it's just kind of highlighted what's to come.
02:27And he seems like a great football mind just from what he's talking about.
02:32What he loves, you know, he talks about statistics and,
02:36you know, things we need to be doing on a down to down basis.
02:38And I think that's important early on in this process installing our offense.
02:41So, yeah, I'm excited to get rolling under that.
02:44And, you know, hopefully we can put up some points this year for sure.
