00:00From an unnamed texter, lower bowl season ticket holder and I got, I did not get training
00:05camp tickets, signed on 40 minutes late and did not get them, 9,000 people were in line.
00:12Another one here, the queue was over 9,000 in line, I got to 500 and they sold out before
00:17I could get any.
00:20Hey Doug and Kang, I was online at 9.30 yesterday morning waiting for tickets, the link started
00:24to work at 9.56, when I got on there 80 people were ahead of me, but once you got through
00:28the queue, you were able to get tickets to any of the days, I ended up tickets, I ended
00:33up getting tickets for every practice, I'm so happy.
00:35Yeah, but she said she was 80?
00:38Yeah.
00:39Yeah, I mean that's a low number, the other people were 9,000.
00:41Yeah, I feel like if somebody got, this person got tickets to every single practice.
00:48Should that be allowed?
00:49I don't know.
00:52I'm not sure.
00:54248-539-9797, let's go to Derek in Wyandotte, you're on 97 on the ticket, hi Derek.
01:00Hey, hey Kang, hi Doug, how you guys doing?
01:03What's up?
01:04So I just got off the phone, your call screener, so yesterday I jumped on at 9.58 a.m., just
01:11for the July 29th practice on a Monday morning, the queue said 4,000, so I waited from 10
01:19to 12.30, finally got through, as soon as I got through it directed me to the tickets,
01:24then it said sold out.
01:26I tried going back, refreshing multiple times and nothing.
01:29Yeah, I mean it's kind of what it is, if it's a free item, obviously the price is right
01:37for everyone, so it's going to be very popular.
01:40No, I understand, it's just a bummer.
01:42It is a bummer.
01:45Without question it's a bummer.
01:46I thought I would share my experience with that.
01:48I appreciate it.
01:49I appreciate it, thank you guys.
01:51248-539-9797.
01:52That sucks though, he got, I mean all the way through, it sounds like right to the end,
02:00and then they said, I don't know if he filled out his information and then it said sold
02:03out or it said sold out when he got there.
02:07Yeah, I mean, you don't want to, like you said, everybody hates waiting in line, but
02:15if it's what you got to go through, for those of you that got tickets, feel very blessed
02:21to get the free training camp tickets.
02:24We're talking about practice.
02:25I know, right?
02:26Not a game, not a game.
02:28Look, I like watching football practice so much, I want to start a practice network where
02:37we carry practice live, we have reporters at practice, we have game day skates, we got
02:43cameras there to see who's skating, we got pre-game shoot-arounds, we got all that stuff,
02:49everything but the game.
02:52I want to fill with morning workouts, like can we get GoPros in workout facilities so
03:00we can watch the guys, like we're going to have all that on the practice network.
03:05Training table, we don't need to have guys mic'd up, but if we have GoPros up in the
03:11corner of the training table, watch what they're eating, watch them work out, watch
03:14them practice, we won't go in the locker room, I'll just state that, because the locker room
03:20is off-limits.
03:21The crazy thing about receiver is, of course the guys are mic'd up, but they get them mic'd
03:24up all the way through, you get to hear what's going on in the tent, when the tent comes
03:28on the side, yeah, you never get that, you're not supposed to, and we're like one step away
03:34from getting a camera in there, but you can hear what they're talking about, what hurts,
03:39is it this, is it that, and all the stuff they don't want you to hear and see, you get
03:43to hear it at least.
03:44Well what's funny about that is I spent 16 years being a sideline reporter, and the tent
03:50is a recent phenomenon, there was the table behind the bench that was open for everyone
03:57to see, which now in retrospect seems kind of crazy, now that we've invented and brought
04:01in the tent.
04:02We should build a tent.
04:03Yes, a portable tent, so it's private.
04:07But I would position myself at a place where I would watch and I could see, they're working
04:12on his left knee, but now with the tent, you kind of hang around outside the tent, and
04:21you hope, because they generally don't answer questions, the best you could hope for, as
04:29a sideline reporter trying to get injury information, was when a player came out of the tent, sometimes
04:35the trainer would look at you and wink, or give you a thumbs up or something, and then
04:41you'd have an idea that a player might be coming back.
04:44They got them miked up in there telling the players exactly what they're looking at.
04:49When Justin Jefferson took the hit to the back and spit up some blood.
04:52Oh man, I was thinking of the same thing.
04:55It was interesting because the first thing the trainers asked him, did you bite your
04:59tongue or bite a cheek or something.
05:01Yeah, they got to know where the source is.
05:04Where is this bleeding coming from, right?
05:05And they quickly realized, yeah, it was coming from your lungs, coughing up blood, and that
05:13was the game changer.
05:16But just kind of interesting.
05:17Yeah, but you know, he did, Doug, as he went off the field to go inside, he gave his parents
05:23the thumbs up, but he wasn't coming back, man.
05:26No, he wasn't coming back.
05:29And I mean, if you're coughing up blood, you probably should go to.
05:32Yeah, no, they did.
05:34I mean, they're the professionals.
05:35They did the right thing.
05:36But my point is, you know, the wink, a thumbs up.
05:38Who knows?
05:39I think the next step that you don't do sidelines anymore.
05:42You're the voice now.
05:43Yeah.
05:44Is that still Jason Avant on the sideline?
05:46Yes, it is.
05:47What he needs to do is if they pull out the tent, this might be hard during day games,
05:51but like night games or inside, maybe you need to get a really bright light to get shadows.
05:58What's going on?
05:59What are they working?
06:00Yeah.
06:01Yeah.
06:02Here's what you have to remember about Jason.
06:04If it's a wide receiver that got hurt, Jason's too busy trying to lobby to get put in the
06:08game.
06:09He'll be the first ever sideline reporter to check into a game.
06:13We got Jansen on the sidelines too now?
06:15No.
06:16You're working with two guys that want to play still?
06:17I'm working with two guys that still want to play.
06:18That's what I mean.
06:19Yeah, but I mean, in some of those blowouts, I'm looking for him to slip in there somewhere.
06:26That's the way he's wired.
06:28But he gets in huddles like he gets.
06:30Jason Evac gets to places the previous sideline reporter got nowhere close to.
06:34All right.
