00:00The Cleveland Browns have a win total of eight and a half and the over has the heavy juice
00:07as they get ready for the 2024 NFL campaign.
00:12Can Cleveland go over that number?
00:13You're going to have to nine or 10 wins at bare minimum.
00:17It would appear right now in the off season to contend for a playoff spot in the highly
00:22competitive division.
00:23That is the AFC North or any of the seven spots, of course, in the AFC as a whole.
00:29Donnie, if you were to look at eight and a half right here, right now, would you bet
00:33the over or the under for Cleveland entering 2024?
00:37I probably would bet the over because I think it's going to be an entertaining AFC North
00:40here, but there's just the talent on the team.
00:42Sometimes you take a look at, oh, they just need a new coach, you know, somebody to step
00:45in there.
00:46Their coach is very good.
00:47Coach of the year.
00:48Was he the coach of the year?
00:49I think Stefanski won coach of the year when it was all said and done last year.
00:51So you do have competency at the head coaching position, but also talent at every level.
00:56Great linebacking court, great defensive line, solid secondary, dominant man moving
01:00offensive line here, a running back in Nick Chubb, if he comes back and gives you 75%
01:05of what Nick Chubb gave you in the past and a wide receiving core that has some electric
01:09talent, young talent, and also sage veterans like Amari Cooper.
01:13There's too much talent on this football team to go under eight and a half for me at this
01:17point, Ben.
01:18Eleven and six was the record a year ago, as we all know, and that was Joe Flacco really
01:24for Cleveland.
01:25Most of the way, three of the four teams out of the AFC North made the postseason, not
01:30the Bengals in this division, but even since he finished with a winning record without
01:34Joe Burrow for a good majority of last season.
01:38My question, of course, is not Joe Flacco.
01:40He's no longer there.
01:41He's in Indianapolis, not the talent around or that Kevin Stefanski is coordinating.
01:47It's the Sean Watson.
01:48What can we expect out of a guy that has started and completed 11 NFL games in the
01:54last four calendar years?
01:57Of course, it has been an interesting time for Deshaun Watson, suspended for the first
02:0211 games of 2022 for multiple violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy.
02:08In 2021, Deshaun Watson missed the entirety of the year because he was done in Houston
02:14and wanted to play his NFL football elsewhere.
02:18He has played very little in the last four years.
02:22He has played only 11 NFL full games.
02:26And again, when you look at the numbers, it leaves a lot to be desired.
02:30I think to call Deshaun Watson mediocre in those 11 games is an insult to mediocre.
02:36In the 11 completed games he has played, only twice has he thrown for more than 250 yards.
02:43Is he the signal caller to get Cleveland where they want to go?
02:47Jameis Winston, now the backup in the land, but again, you're not banking on your backup
02:51despite the experience of Jameis to lead you to 10-11 wins like Joe Flacco did a season
02:58ago despite all of the talent around this Browns organization.
03:02I'm not going to bet the under of eight and a half wins.
03:05Do I think the Browns are a playoff team next year?
03:08Not in this competitive AFC.
