00:00I'm wondering if you can comment on the reports that millions of dollars are being withheld
00:08from the president and potentially being redirected to House and Senate races because some donors
00:13don't want him on the ballot or are waiting to see if he's going to remain the Democratic
00:17nominee.
00:18Listen, I think I read out at the beginning of this call, or this gaggle, that we had
00:23nearly 40,000 donations during the president's press conference.
00:26The start of July has been the best start of any grassroots fundraising month that we've
00:33had in this campaign.
00:34And we're confident that as we move forward here and return the concentration, the conversation
00:38to the fundamental choice in this election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, this campaign
00:43is going to have the resources it needs to continue to build upon the infrastructure
00:47that is already our competitive advantage in a very close and competitive election to
00:51do the work that we need to do to beat Donald Trump in November.
00:54Do you feel like you could move forward without the big donors if they did continue to withhold
00:58those donations?
00:59We are confident that donors, both grassroots, major donors, and everybody within the Biden-Harris
01:04coalition is going to understand the fundamental stakes of this election as we move forward
01:08and put in all the work that we know that we collectively need to do to defeat Donald
01:12Trump in November.
01:13You three had FaceTime with the president today.
01:15How is he feeling about his performance last night, especially the two gaffes that he made
01:20calling President Zelensky Putin?
01:22And the fact that for many Americans, not just his detractors, those are what stick
01:26out.
01:27How are you guys going to campaign against that?
01:29Yeah.
01:30Joe Biden has been making gaffes for 40 years.
01:31He made a couple of last night.
01:32He will probably continue to do so.
01:35Our opponent is somebody who every single day out on the stump is calling for a bloodbath
01:39if he loses.
01:40He's pledging to rule as a dictator on day one and is pledging to ban abortion nationwide
01:43across the country.
01:44The voters of this country are smart.
01:45The voters watched the totality of that press conference.
01:48They saw a president lead on the global stage, talk about complex issues, the ways in which
01:53he's uniting the West around Putin's aggression, the ways in which he is working on securing
01:57a ceasefire framework in the Middle East, and they saw him present a clear choice against
02:02the opponent in Donald Trump, who had just laid out all the fundamental threats that
02:05he poses to the American people.
02:07We are confident that the American people are smart enough to understand the fundamental
02:10choice in this election.
02:11And as we and the president continues to campaign relentlessly across all the battleground states,
02:16the only answer to that choice is going to be Joe Biden.
