MyDigital ID: Over 465,000 users as of July 10, says Gobind

As of July 10, a total of 465,924 users, including civil servants, have signed up for MyDigital ID, says Gobind Singh Deo.
During Minister’s Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (July 11), the Digital Minister stated that MyDigital ID is being integrated with the Central Database Hub (Padu) and is expected to be completed by August 2024, and discussions are underway to integrate MyDigital ID with Touch ‘n Go, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) i-Akaun, the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), and the banking sector.
In response to a supplementary question from Young Syefura Othman (PH-Bentong) regarding security measures to prevent data theft, Gobind assured that the model used for MyDigital ID does not store users’ personal data.
