Let's play Myth The Fallen Lords Crows Bridge, the first playable level of the game.   This week's gameplay walkthrough takes us to the small village of Crow's Bridge where we are defending a Town from enemy forces sent by Shiver, one of the Fallen Lords. Stay tuned as we explore some of the opponents which you will face in our campaign against the Dark. During the great war, Shiver one of the Fallen Lords forced refugees into Crow's Bridge. This caused concern among citizens where the Legion set about coming to their aid.  Myth The Fallen Lords is a  realtime strategy game which was developed by Bungie for Microsoft Windows and the Mac operating system. 00:00Wednesday, August 3rd, Crow's Bridge.

00:08Yesterday our legion entered the village of Crow's Bridge and halted there for the night.

00:13We are just four days' march from the besieged city of Madrigal now, and with a little luck

00:18should arrive there in time to prevent its capture by the enemy.

00:21Shiver, one of the fallen lords, has been attacking the city for two days, but so far

00:26has been held back by its defenders.

00:29We all know the battle for Madrigal will decide the fate of all the northern lands, and that

00:34if it falls we will soon have nowhere to retreat but the ocean.

00:38Fearing for their safety, the villagers here pleaded with us to remain when we broke camp

00:42this morning.

00:43None of them understand yet what is happening, but they have all seen the refugees from the

00:48south and they are frightened.

00:53Our officers seemed unsympathetic until the people returned with nine young pigs and ten

00:57dozen loaves of bread.

01:00Fifteen of us are to stay now, perhaps to fight boredom instead of the fallen lords,

01:05and watch the bridge here for two days.

01:15Hey, did you hear what happened to Amon's bro?

01:18Yeah, there were no bodies.

01:20What did they do with all the bodies?

01:27The bridge is being attacked, let's get out of here!

01:36Hello and welcome to Crow's Bridge, the first ever level in Myth the Fallen Lords, one of

01:42my favourite games of all time.

01:44We're being attacked so I've just moved a lot of my units south for some protection.

01:49We're going to fall back just a little south of here and we can see we've got some more

01:56units waiting in defence of the town further to the south and they're going to stay there

02:02and prevent them from getting through.

02:08Good luck at the bridge!

02:09Down here we've got a really nice little village with some chimneys and smoke coming out of

02:13the chimney and we have our main force.

02:15We've got four warriors, we've got a dwarf who has got a backpack full of explosives

02:21and the dwarves, they have like satchel charges on them that they can plant and they also

02:29have dwarven cocktails which I believe are sort of bottles that they fire with explosives

02:38in them or fire that explodes when the bottle lands on the ground.

02:42And we've also got our four bowmen or archers you could call them and they're obviously

02:49handy for taking out enemy at a long range.

02:52And obviously the aim and the objective of the mission is to guard the bridge and town

02:57from enemy forces coming across the river.

03:00And as a reminder to say don't forget we have reinforcements in the town.

03:05It looks like there's some gold on the horizon there.

03:09They're kind of like scouts, they're kind of scavengers and they're kind of like a beast

03:15that has, well it drags its knuckles while it's eloping around the ground.

03:20They're quite fast so they're quite good for being scouts and although they're fairly weak

03:27they can run up hills quite easily and they're a big threat for archers.

03:32They can really sneak up behind them and take them by surprise.

03:35So we always want to have, as you can see here I've got a group of warriors protecting the archers.

03:41The same goes for the dwarf, the dwarf is very vulnerable to attack by enemy units who are moving quite fast.

03:49So you always want to have warriors to kind of back them up.

03:52We've got another couple of ghouls coming in across the river on the other side here

03:58who I think are trying to sneak up behind us.

04:00So we're going to try and take them out.

04:03I've split my force in parts at the moment.

04:08We've got the main body of my army, I'm going to attack the bridge and try and destroy the enemy there.

04:14Meanwhile I'm going to send out a couple of warriors to take out the ghouls

04:17which I feel are going to be strong enough to take them out.

04:20So I'll show you that.

04:22So notice the cocktail didn't go off there, so sometimes that happens, it doesn't go off.

04:27It's one of the things I love about this game is that it doesn't work every time.

04:30A bit like real life, things just don't always go to plan.

04:33So it's good to see that.

04:38At the moment I'm letting my dwarf do all the work here and avoiding hand-to-hand combat

04:44because we want to defend our units as long as possible.

04:47If you click on the dwarf, for example, you'll notice he's got a little shield.

04:51That represents how many enemy he has destroyed.

04:58And what happens is if that dwarf or any character on my team survives until the next level, mission,

05:05they usually will continue their journey from the first mission.

05:09So we might see Alfrig in the next mission if he survives the battle.

05:15For example, the archers, a couple of them have got a kill each.

05:18Their accuracy with their firing of arrows will be increased.

05:22We've got some soulless coming across the bridge here.

05:26Soulless have poisoned arrows that they fire, so they're kind of like the enemy archer if you want.

05:33It's best to avoid getting hit by one of those and take them out from afar.

05:38So we've done a pretty decent job here.

05:40We're playing this on Normal difficulty.

05:42Some of the first missions in Myth are really quite easy,

05:45but if it's the first time you've played it, it's a good introduction to the battles you're going to face.

05:50But believe me, they get a lot harder.

05:53Some really difficult levels ahead that require some careful thought and consideration.

06:00So anyway, that was Crow's Bridge.

06:02I hope that gave you a wee taster of what's to come.

06:06As I say, this was a very short level.

06:08It's a really fun one to play on Legendary mode, the most difficult level to beat.

06:14And on this particular level, it's actually quite hard to beat it on this one,

06:18but try doing that on some of the later levels, you'll be really struggling.

06:21And I think if you can do all the levels in Legendary mode, then you are a god.
