Let's play Myth The Fallen Lords A Traitor's Grave, the second playable level of the game.

In this episode we travel to the small village of Otter Ferry in search of a villager who has betrayed the legion by siding with the Dark Forces.while Shiver, one of the Fallen Lords begins her attack on Madrigal. In this encounter we are introduced to our Journeyman for the first time in combat.

Myth The Fallen Lords is a realtime strategy game which was developed by Bungie for Microsoft Windows and the Mac operating system. It was released in 1997 and tells the tale of the war between the forces of Light versus Dark for the control of a mythical world which draws some comparisons with Middle Earth and the Lord of the Rings.

Myth is an excellent game with around 25 solo campaign missions to complete with some levels being fairly straight forward while others being almost near impossible to complete with clever puzzles and strategies needed to succeed.

00:00Tuesday, August 5th, King's Highway.

00:09Having turned back the attack on Crow's Bridge, we headed south to rejoin the Legion in another

00:13small town called Otter Ferry.

00:16On our way we met a force of our own men hurrying in the opposite direction, who gave us ill

00:21news.

00:22The vanguard of our army, 20,000 men, has been camped near Otter Ferry for two days

00:28now.

00:29The mayor of that village must have guessed our plan to cross the Scamander River behind

00:33the main enemy force and to attack them by surprise.

00:37Perhaps in the cowardly hope that he would be spared when the dark sacked Madrigal, the

00:41mayor intends to betray us to the enemy.

00:44A quick death will be too good for him, but we will have time for nothing else.

00:49One of the locals knows of the clearing where the mayor arranged his meeting with the dark

00:54and will lead us there.

00:59A traitor?

01:17Let's move before he gets away.

01:25Welcome to Mission 2, A Traitor's Grave.

01:29So we managed to fight off the enemy at Crow's Bridge, and now we're on the second level

01:33called A Traitor's Grave, and we've got the following objectives.

01:38Find the traitor and kill him.

01:40A villager will lead you most of the way, but be sure to keep an eye out for the traitor.

01:46Now we've got this annoying goal scout that's kind of trying to sneak up behind me and take

01:55out my archers, so I'm not going to let that happen.

01:59We don't have any warriors in this mission, so we're quite vulnerable.

02:03We do have a journeyman for the first time.

02:06The journeyman, he has the ability of healing, and he always starts with six mandrake roots

02:22that he can use to heal our men.

02:24So we're going to take him along, and he can fight with a shovel if he needs to, but if

02:33we were attacked by a lot of hand-to-hand combat enemies, we would be in trouble.

02:38We've got some soulless coming and some thrall, so we really want to take out the soulless

02:43quickly because they can cause a lot of damage to my bowmen if we do not protect them.

02:49I'm going to use the journeyman to shield them, and he can take a lot of damage, the

02:54journeyman, from arrows, and he does have heals, so we can use him as a diversion if

03:00you want, or even like a dummy, to take all the firepower away from our bowmen.

03:10We'll watch our dwarf doesn't get hit, he's probably the most vulnerable unit at the moment,

03:18so we want to make sure he doesn't get caught in the crossfire.

03:24Sometimes you can accidentally hit your own units with your own arrows, so it's just a

03:30good idea to spread out your forces as much as possible.

03:35We were lucky in the last game, we didn't have any casualties, so we're doing quite

03:39well in that sense.

03:40Ooh, got hit there.

03:43Well done men, that was very good.

03:45So again, this isn't a very difficult mission, we're still getting used to the game.

04:15I love the scenery in Myth, it's fantastic really.

04:22The game came out in 1997, and for a game that came out such a long time ago, the graphics

04:29are pretty impressive, and everything runs very smoothly, that's one of the things I

04:33like about Myth, it runs perfectly, it's a lot of fun.

04:41The dwarf's under attack, ooh okay that was lucky, so that wasn't too bad.

04:49So yeah, we're just going to move forward ahead.

04:54Okay, we found him, so that is our traitor, and our target.

05:00Should be fairly straightforward, but we have got some ghouls attacking here, so we need

05:04to take them out first because we're vulnerable to them, and then we'll go after the traitor

05:08and kill him.

05:18Ooh, my dwarf's taken a hit, ooh that was lucky.

05:24Right, let's get after him.

05:28Oh, I just saw a squirrel there.

05:30I saw a squirrel.

05:32That's nice.

05:34So we're at a part of the world that's quite nice still, as the game progresses you travel

05:39around the map in different locations, and we're at a part of the world that's actually

05:45quite nice at the moment, with lots of forests and wildlife, which unfortunately is being

05:51attacked, and we've just destroyed the traitor, he's dead, we have achieved our mission objective,

05:57well done.

05:59Okay, so that was A Traitor's Grave.

06:01If you quite like watching my gameplay and want to continue the journey, this is one

06:08of the very first let's play videos that I've ever done, so probably when you're watching

06:12this you'll probably find my commentary's not the best, but I'm kind of working on it

06:17and I really want to see it at the next level, which is called The Siege of Madrigal, and

06:25the first thing you'll notice in that level is we have a lot more units, and a lot more

06:29enemy, and a few surprises along the way.
