00:00Good morning to all of you from the Pagasa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:04The time is now here.
00:06Today is Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
00:10And here in our latest satellite images, we can see that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ
00:16is already having a particular effect on Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
00:21That's why you can see that there are almost cloud clusters here in Southern Luzon.
00:25This is also outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,
00:28which is part of the axis of what we call the Intertropical Convergence Zone
00:32or the air flow from different hemispheres of the world.
00:37And this is what we expect to bring rainfalls, particularly in a large part of Southern Luzon.
00:42So this is Mimaropa, Calabarzon, and also Manila.
00:46So there's a big chance of rainfalls in Metro Manila, as well as in Central Luzon.
00:50We also expect rainfalls in Western Visayas, as well as in the Negros Island region,
00:55and also in the province of Siquijor.
00:58In most parts of our country, in Mindanao, Northern Luzon, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas,
01:05we will experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
01:09For now, we are still not monitoring any low-pressure areas,
01:13even though we are seeing cloud clusters.
01:17But there are still no thunderstorms inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:22Meanwhile, this is what we expect to bring rainfalls, particularly here in Luzon.
01:26We will see that there is a big chance of rainfalls and cloudy skies,
01:30particularly in parts of Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region,
01:35as well as in Metro Manila and Central Luzon.
01:38This is the tip of the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCC,
01:41where this axis is affected, particularly here in Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
01:48Meanwhile, in Northern Luzon, particularly in Ilocos Region, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley Region,
01:53we expect isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
01:56The weather may still be a bit hot, particularly in Northern Luzon and Tanghali.
02:00The temperature outside is 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:04In Togagaraw, it is up to 35 degrees Celsius.
02:07In Baguio, it is 70 to 24 degrees Celsius.
02:10In Manila, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:13In Tagaytay, it is 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:16Meanwhile, in Legazpi, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:20Here we are in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
02:23We will see that there is a big chance of rainfalls in Palawan,
02:26the tip of the ITCC, and the temperature outside Kalayaan Islands is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:32Meanwhile, in Puerto Princesa City, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:36There will also be heavy rainfalls in the western Visayas,
02:39including Negros Island Region and Siquijor.
02:42In most of the Visayas,
02:44Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas,
02:47isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may occur on this day.
02:51As for the temperature in Iloilo, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:54In Cebu, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:57In Bastakloban, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:01Meanwhile, in Mindanao, it is partly cloudy,
03:04up to cloudy skies.
03:06There are also chances of rainfalls in the afternoon and evening,
03:09like localized thunderstorms and ITCC,
03:12in a large part of Mindanao.
03:14The average temperature in Zamboanga is 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:18In Cagendeoro, it is 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:21In Davao, it is 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:24We expect that the next few days,
03:26it will continue to rain.
03:28The ITCC, particularly in the Palawan area,
03:32Western Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula,
03:35may also have a high chance of rain the next few days.
03:38For now, we do not have a high-level gale warning
03:41because the sea vehicles and even small boats
03:44are still allowed to cross the country.
03:48Meanwhile, our day will be busy.
03:50Later, at 5.33 a.m., it will be dark.
03:52Until 6.30 p.m.
03:56Because of the ITCC,
03:59we expect that a large part of our country
04:02will experience rain and thunderstorms,
04:05we will continue to follow and subscribe
04:08to our social media platforms,
04:10on X, Facebook, YouTube, and our website,
04:13pagasi.dosc.gov.ph.
04:15Our thunderstorm advisories, rainfall information,
04:19flood warnings, and heavy rainfall warnings will be released.
04:22Again, from Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center,
04:25I am Obet Badrina.
04:27Let us always prepare for a safe Philippines.
04:31Thank you very much. Good morning to all of you.
