Preparations Underway For the 2024 Newport Show!

00:00Hi my name is Sally Weston I'm the show manager here at Newport Show and I'm

00:05Duncan Gunn Russell I'm the 2024 show president. So obviously Newport Show is

00:10literally around the corner just tell us what we can expect this year. Lots of fun

00:14and the main ring entertainment this year is FMX Broke which is a big

00:19motorbike display so there's going to be lots of exciting tricks in the main ring

00:22we've also got the Shropshire and Staffordshire Young Farmers Tug of War

00:26which is going to be a really hotly contested competition. We've also got

00:31lots of show jumping in the ring and lovely entertainment across the

00:36showground. And then we've got obviously the fantastic food, amazing drinks, live

00:42music so a real festival feel. What we've tried to do is create more of a

00:47festival atmosphere so it's not just your farm show for your local farmers it

00:51is for everybody and that really brings together everybody from the local

00:56community so it is promoting local businesses but also you know that real

01:01festival feel and total relaxation in a fantastic setting. Yeah I mean the way

01:08that we're in an amphitheatre here wherever you are on the showground you

01:12can see what's going on. The show opens at 8 o'clock and the main ring will have

01:16lots of activity throughout the day till 5.30 p.m. and in fact all around the

01:21showground there's lots to see and do for everybody of all ages.
