00:00Hello and welcome again to this Ternet webcast. I'm here today with Heinz Pöttinger.
00:13Heinz, hello.
00:14Hello, Mr Egon.
00:15Today we are together to speak about the future of farming.
00:19What did you think, did you think that farming will evolve in the coming 10 years?
00:25Yes, I think really. I think really we are again at the beginning of a new situation, of a new development.
00:33We have internationalisation worldwide, we are working together between different countries and we have the digitalisation for the farming in the future.
00:42And you, as the leader of the Pöttinger company, you are working in-house about the digitalisation?
00:49Yes, first it was starting about 20 years ago. We have a lot of discussion which kind of management systems we can use in our company
00:58and we have the same discussions what you find now in the farms.
01:01Who is making the decision, what is really with the personals, which will change, how the work will change.
01:08And now after 20 years, not all problems were solved, but we know only with digitalisation we can now manage our companies.
01:17Did you think that the digitalisation will change the all day life of the farmer?
01:24All day life not, there is still existing a personal system, there are existing families, there are existing personal contacts, this not will change.
01:34But all other parts, all other parts will be a part in the farm management systems.
01:41And for you, this digitalisation will help the farmers to earn more money?
01:51I only can tell it from my company. We are not sure if it doesn't help us to earn more money, but it does help us to reduce the complexity.
02:02It helps us to grow, it helps us to be successful in the direct contact with our customers.
02:09It helps us the contact with the TVs and with the medias, it helps a lot.
02:15But to earn more money, I really can't promise you that it will really in the new situation.
02:22But it helps us to be more modern, to be going forward and to be a modern company in the new time.
02:28Heinz Pöttinger, thank you for the honesty of your answers and please find other interviews on the same subject on www.teernet.fr
