00:05An in-memoriam message was shared to her official YouTube channel and Instagram account on Friday,

00:10confirming that she passed away last month. The statement read,

00:13We come to you today with a devastating announcement. It is with a heavy heart that

00:17we must inform you that Alex, known to many as PrettyPastelPlease, has passed away.

00:22Her passing was sudden, unexpected, and devastating to all who knew her.

00:26The message continued, This is a shock to us all, and our family and friends have requested

00:30privacy as they navigate their grief. We would ask that you respect their wishes.

00:34They appreciate all of your support but need time to heal in private.

00:38The statement noted that a memorial for Alex would later be posted to her channel,

00:42and it encouraged anyone affected by the sad news to seek support and know that they're not alone.

00:47Alex began posting to YouTube in 2017 and became known for her fun fashion,

00:51thrift shopping, and product review videos, many featuring her beloved bird Archie.

00:56Her videos drew more than 100 million views and more than 690,000 subscribers.
