00:00That was when I knew I had to, for sure, get a lawyer, because I just felt like something
00:04was going on.
00:05No, no, no.
00:06She thinks about screwing me over all the time.
00:08If Janelle could come over after me over alimony and child support or anything, she'd do it.
00:15Oh yeah, she's got nothing but, oh God, how could I f*** him?
00:21Peyote Pass is still a huge question on everyone's mind in this week's episode of Sister Wives.
00:28Now that the property is paid off, Mary and Janelle are frustrated that Cody hasn't figured
00:33out what they're doing with the land yet.
00:35I'm actually really, really upset with how it's all going or not going.
00:42I don't like the fact that I feel like I've had to take the steps that I've taken.
00:48I'm just frustrated that this whole thing has taken so long.
00:53I have been divorced from Cody for well over a year, and nothing had really ever been talked
01:00about too much as far as the property.
01:02So I sent an email to Cody and Robin and Janelle just saying, hey, I think it's time we need
01:09to start this conversation.
01:12Mary and I don't know what's going on, so of course we're frustrated.
01:16We're completely in the dark.
01:17There's no communication, nothing.
01:20As Cody has seemingly gone radio silent, Mary and Janelle are starting to think he
01:24doesn't have their best interests in mind.
01:26Tell me what you want to do.
01:27If you want to keep all 14 acres, then buy me out.
01:31So we don't hear from Cody, and we go through these long periods of time, and it really
01:34makes you think, what's going on?
01:36It doesn't make you have a lot of trust that things are going to go fairly.
01:40The best thing you can do is what it takes to protect yourself.
01:45Like if you're not protecting your heart, who is?
01:48You.
01:50But turns out Cody is interested in selling after all.
01:53I meet my real estate agent out here on Coyote Pass because it's just come to the point where
01:58the family's not going to live here.
01:59I'm positive Janelle's not going to move out here.
02:01I finally told Robin that I really can't stand the idea of living here, at least at this
02:06point.
02:07Robin, I think, was the last to give up on the dream, but she's finally consented, yeah,
02:11let's go ahead and sell.
02:12I'm pretty positive that Mary and Janelle want to sell.
02:14So we're going to take a look around, you know, walk the property a little bit because
02:17he's going to be, well, most likely he'll be the salesman.
02:21But even selling the property is going to be messy following the split.
02:24So I've got four partners in it.
02:26Two of them are exes.
02:27Okay.
02:28Okay.
02:29I can't, I hate saying this, but it's not the most civil of relationships anymore.
02:35Having gone public, we talk to the public and then it comes back to me and I'm like,
02:41I'm not talking to her ever again.
02:43It's back and forth.
02:44I'm just as guilty as them, but they're just as guilty as I am.
02:47So what I will do is, is when you get an offer and you present that to me, I'll email them
02:53and I'll say, I've got this realtor, we've got an offer.
02:55It's a matter of just getting their permission because they're partners.
02:58So I'm just sitting here going through this, like trying to decide what, what, what do
03:02I want to do?
03:03And Janelle suggested I buy her out, I'm like, how?
03:06I don't have that kind of money.
03:09I don't know the answer well enough to be able to move on it.
03:12But I got these two exes going, I want this, I want this listed.
03:16What are we doing?
03:17What are we, what are we doing?
03:18And I'm like, I don't know.
03:20So they're nagging me, which is great because I just got two ex-wives who were total nags
03:25now nagging still.
03:27And to make things worse, Cody hasn't told Mary or Janelle that he's talking to a realtor
03:31about the sale.
03:33So I don't know exactly who he's talking to and what his plan is.
03:37But that's really all I know, you know, like, I don't know, maybe he's selling it already.
03:42Like literally, I have no idea what is happening.
03:46I was really, really nice in that email.
03:48I was trying to calm everybody down.
03:50I don't know what to do here.
03:52I'm not trying to stall.
03:55I'm just like, listen, these are ex-wives asking me to do a favor and I'm tired and
04:04I have a lot to do.
04:05I don't know what's going on.
04:07He could be talking to someone about selling it.
04:11He could be.
04:12I mean, yeah, he could potentially be talking to someone who's about selling it out from
04:14underneath us.
04:16I don't know because he's not communicating.
04:19And as time passes, Mary worries she won't be compensated fairly for the land.
04:24We own in total about 14 acres out at Coyote Pass.
04:28The way it's titled, if we were to sell it right now, Mary would get compensated for
04:32like an acre and a half of the whole 14.
04:35This whole conversation really hinges on Cody.
04:38He's the one that is on all the titles.
04:41He's the one that has to make changes in ownership.
04:43Are you going to show up and divide these fairly?
04:46What are we doing?
04:47Because he's very wishy-washy.
04:48He says something that you don't hear from him forever.
04:51Like I don't know.
04:52There's no reassurance that he's going to be kind.
04:55But Cody claims he will be fair in the end.
04:59Basically bought it all together.
05:00I paid for one of the lots solely myself.
05:04But the agreement is for the families because we are doing everything together.
05:07I paid for an entire lot myself.
05:09When we sell, I'm going to divide the money four ways.
05:13My wife, me, and the two exes.
05:16I think they're worried about whether I'm going to be fair or not because the divorce
05:20just takes away all trust.
05:23But I will.
05:24As things with Coyote Pass appear to be chugging along, Robin is still a little bitter with
05:29how everything ended.
05:31This place is a heartbreak place for me.
05:33Just heartbreak.
05:36This is the last thing that kind of connects some of us.
05:41I think that's another reason why it's hard for me to let it go.
05:48It irritates me to no end that just the last couple years changed the last, what, 30 years.
05:57There was once upon a time, there was trust and love and connection and, you know, a future.
06:05So yeah, it's just crazy how much it just went poof.
06:09But as the Browns try to sell the property, Janelle is buying her own piece of land, a
06:14flower farm in North Carolina.
06:16We have an offer that was accepted.
06:18So if it all closes and everything's good, which I don't see why anything would happen,
06:24yeah, we're going to be flower farmers.
06:28Yeah, flower farmers.
06:30I remember I was laying in bed one night and like, wow, flowers, wouldn't it be so great
06:33to just be a flower farmer?
06:35Because doesn't that sound like perfect zen?
06:37After all the craziness of my life, I'm like, I'm going to be a flower farmer.
06:40For Janelle, this property is a dream come true.
06:43You know, when we first moved here, everybody had this great vision about the property.
06:46We were going to all build on it together.
06:48And then life sort of started to happen.
06:49And Coyote was just never really fully on board with the vision.
06:52Like, well, he had a comfortable house.
06:54He lived in with Rob and he didn't care anymore.
06:56So Coyote Pass never came to fruition.
06:58And now I'm so infinitely glad we have this vision.
07:02Like, we know what it's going to look like, some place that people love to come.
07:05They can sit with the flowers, a gathering place.
07:08We haven't worked out all the details yet, but flowers, people can come.
07:12We know that much.
07:13And she isn't the only one buying property.
07:15Christine is, too.
07:16We bought a house in Moab as well.
07:18We bought a house in Moab.
07:20With Cody with finances, it would always have to just be his way.
07:23It was his way.
07:24Otherwise, he would talk to you about it ad nauseum forever and ever and ever and ever and ever until he just got sick of it and gave in.
07:30And I'm like, why can't I just write my own freaking check?
07:34And David's like, yeah, why don't you go ahead and buy a home to rent out?
07:38I'm like, OK.
07:39And so I found it and took charge and did it.
07:43And it's done.
07:45Bought a house.
07:47Meanwhile, Mary has found a new love in her life, a dog named Zona.
07:51I had gone to the shelter just to visit with the animals, the dogs, because I love dogs and they all need to be pet and they need to have love.
07:58And I met Zona and I fell hard.
08:04Like I saw in her eyes when I first met her, she was just so scared.
08:08I met her and I needed her and she needed me.
08:11And we are a perfect pair.
08:14And she's also ready to meet a man.
08:16I want a date.
08:19I'm very ready.
08:19I've actually gone out on a few dates.
08:21I have dated a little bit.
08:23She's single and she's ready to mingle.
08:25Yes, come join us.
08:27Oh, my gosh, looking for men over, what is it, six feet?
08:31Is that what you're looking for?
08:33I don't know. Like, I feel like dating is hard.
08:37It's like job interview after job interview.
08:40But what do you want?
08:41So taller than me.
08:43OK, older than me.
08:46So an extra senior citizen.
08:50I feel like it would be weird to have somebody younger than me.
08:53Oh, no, Zona doesn't agree with that.
08:55You don't like that?
