00:00Chiara, winning as a favorite is never easy, but as you once said you were very, very super and you did it for the third time at the Giro. What do you think?

00:10Yeah, really, I have no words really today. I think the team was super. We left the breakaway, went for six minutes and I was a little bit scared, but then I think they did a really, really good job.

00:25We know that the final was too hard. Also, I saw the crashes the first time that we passed under the finish line, but then really I was super focused on my sprint because I know that I have not a lot of opportunities, but really I play as well as possible, I think.

00:44Was there a moment when you thought like maybe that the bunch sprint could not make it today?

00:50At the finish line, because under the 2km to go, the breakaway was also 40 seconds, so it was super far, but then I think every one of my team believed in them and we achieved these goals.

01:09How do you want to save the legs since tomorrow is the first half you'll finish?

01:15No, for me it's easy, I think. I hope for the team because we went here with a strong team, I think. I hope that this is only the first one.

01:28Elisa, yesterday you said that you were happy about wearing the pink jersey just for one day. What about wearing it already for another stage?

01:38Yeah, today was special. There were many people in the peloton coming to me congratulating for my victory yesterday and for wearing pink and it was honouring for me also.

01:53It's super special and today I really enjoyed it and I was super happy to be touring around Italy with my pink jersey. I hope to keep it also tomorrow. We will see.

02:07Yeah, exactly. Tomorrow is the first half you'll finish. How do you see it?

02:12Yeah, it looks like a steady, shallow climb at the beginning and then it gets a little bit harder, but I don't know. It's really difficult to interpret it and we will see tomorrow how it will be. Good luck. Thank you.

02:34Today you were so close from winning your first World Tour stage race. What are you feeling right now?

02:40Well, it will be also my first race here in Europe. I believe it till the end. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible, but I'll keep trying and maybe someday I will win.

02:56What about now? Is the jersey something that you want to maybe try to keep it until the finish?

03:03Yeah, of course. I need to believe it. I know it's going to be really, really hard, but yeah, I'll keep believing.

03:14Are you maybe aiming at a different colour, maybe pink?

03:18Yeah, I think my stages are still coming up. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I think it's a really interesting stage for me also. Until now, I'm super happy with my white jersey and I'm proud of it. Hopefully, I can maybe make it even better.

03:35Last year you won already a stage at the Giro. How confident do you feel to maybe make the double?

03:40Yeah, I mean every year is different, so you can never say it's like last year, but yeah, I'm confident. My shape is good, so yeah, let's see what we can do in the next few days.
