00:00It's been a great show, great quality cattle here again, great yarding. I think our entries
00:05are up by a fair bit from previous years, so it's good to see people making an effort.
00:10There's a few new faces here that we haven't seen for either at all or for a long time,
00:14so it's good to see some people back and some people coming for the first time. So yeah,
00:18all in all, really happy. So I think there's been a big push of trying to get a lot more
00:22entries back into the show and sort of rejuvenate the cattle section here a bit.
00:27We live in Alice Springs which is a town of 30,000 people and 29,000 of them would have no
00:32contact with large animals for 99% of the year, so I think it's great that we've got a lot of
00:37cattle back here and people can wander down, wander through the cattle and have a look around
00:41and see some big animals I suppose. Always get a lot of great support from the Southerners.
00:46They always bring really good bulls up. We have a bull sale here on a Saturday morning that
00:50they normally sell pretty well. You know, it's always good getting people from South up and
00:55yeah, they always bring good cattle and I think they're probably a lot of the reason why we can
00:58continue to keep doing what we do up here. People love the show. The bush community loves coming in
01:04and sort of catching up and this is probably one of the premier events of the Alice Springs
01:08calendar, the Alice Springs show. Yeah, it's a great place to catch up with people you haven't
01:12seen for 6 to 12 or 18 months, so I think it's always a good vibe around the show.
