During his visit to the Dewan Serbaguna Jawi vote tallying centre in Penang on Friday (July 5), Election Commission secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak said the commission did not receive any reports of major offences related to the Sungai Bakap by-election.
He said there were just offences such as displaying posters at prohibited areas like in schools and places that block road traffic.

00:00In the morning, when we want to move, all the channels will be gathered together and move together.
00:12The preparation that we see this morning will be smooth.
00:15Together we will prepare for tomorrow's weekend.
00:21The ballot we see today will be used to vote, take care of, and prepare for logistics.
00:31For tomorrow, a total of 9 polling stations will be opened.
00:35Involving 65 channels.
00:37And the number of voters will come out tomorrow.
00:39In the next 29 days, there will be 1,000 voters involved.
00:42The rest will be posted.
00:45So that's the total.
00:48The number of officers involved will also be 552.
00:53As far as we receive reports from our PPKPR team,
00:58so far we have not received any reports related to the police report.
01:03It's just a small mistake.
01:06What is left in the PPKPR team is usually related to the posters that they put in the wrong places.
01:13For example, at night, on the road, or when they go to school.
01:20But we don't see any major issues.
01:23Thank you to all the voters who voted.
01:29As of today, we have been able to comply with the rules.
01:34We are waiting for all the voters to come out.
01:37According to the time we set,
01:39according to the appropriate time,
01:41so don't come out too early.
01:44If we set it at 8 or 10,
01:47come at that time.
01:48If it's 10 or 12, that's it.
01:50But we don't forbid it.
01:52If you don't want to come out, we don't forbid it.
01:54Because there may be people who will bring their parents.
01:57We understand.
01:58But the important thing is to come at the time of the election.
02:01Don't come at the end.
02:02If you come at 5.59, there's no time.
02:05So we want to avoid that.
02:06So come at the appropriate time.
02:08We don't forbid it.
02:10But now, to make it easier,
02:12we can use our SPR.
02:14We have an app.
02:15If there are voters in the area,
02:18just use it.
02:19They can Google it.
02:20Just use the app,
02:21they can know which school it is.
02:23God willing, it won't be lost.
02:24If they have a choice,
02:25whether they want to ride a car,
02:27a motorcycle, or walk,
02:28there is a time for that.
02:30So we can use the SPR.
