00:24The Department of Budget and Management will now issue P27 billion
00:32to the Department of Health to pay for the remaining health emergency allowance claims
00:37of healthcare workers.
00:39This is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:43to pay for the entire HEA claims of healthcare workers.
00:47Our President gave instructions that we should pay this year
00:54our arrears for health emergency allowance.
00:58This is a promise of our President,
01:02and the same was the case last year.
01:05This was released on July 5.
01:07The DBM explained that the agency tried to give earlier
01:12what is appropriate for healthcare workers.
01:15And with that, we are already processing it.
01:19We will issue P27 billion arrears for HEA this Friday.
01:28So, we no longer owe money to our health emergency professionals and workers.
01:35So, we are happy that we were able to give what is appropriate
01:41to be paid to our health workers who helped us during the pandemic.
01:47At present, more than P91 billion was issued by the DBM to the DOH
01:52for the Public Health Emergency Benefits and Allowances or FEBA.
01:56The Special Risk Allowance,
01:59the Compensation for COVID-19 Sickness and Death,
02:02and additional benefits such as Meals, Accommodation, and Transportation Allowance.
02:07Even barangay healthcare workers can receive this.
02:11According to House Deputy Majority Leader Janet Garin,
02:14who used to serve as a secretary of DOH,
02:17this is a big help for workers in the health sector.
02:21Well, we really love that.
02:23Because to be honest, there were a lot of promises of health allowances during the pandemic.
02:30It was all sweet talk during the previous administration
02:34that these are the benefits of health workers.
02:37But until now, there was no actual.
02:40And that burden was passed on to the current administration.
02:44So, we love the President and Secretary Amina for giving this solution.
02:51House Deputy Minority Leader Franz Castro
02:55called for no delay in the actual distribution of the Health Emergency Allowance.
03:00Well, welcome to us.
03:02Release it because it's long overdue.
03:04This is still the time of the pandemic.
03:062020 to 2022.
03:08It's 2024 now.
03:10That's why it should be released with no delay.
