00:00I'm ready when you are.
00:02Right. Okay.
00:04Hi, my name is Sheila Parkinson and I'm the local democracy reporter based at the Blackpool Gazette.
00:12Tonight I'm covering the count for the Blackpool South constituency here at the Winter Gardens Conference Centre.
00:21There are seven candidates contesting the seat with Labour's Chris Webb being in the unusual position of defending it just weeks after being elected MP at a by-election in May.
00:37He won on that occasion with a majority of 7,607 with turnout around 32%.
00:49So tonight the votes are currently being verified ahead of the start of counting with a result expected between 2.30am and 3.00am.
