00:00I'm proud and humbled to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Blackpool South this evening.
00:04We've seen from the result from 2019 it's an 8% notional swing to Labour. People have put their
00:10faith in me again just a few weeks after the by-election. This time I'm going to be able to
00:15hit the ground running longer than 24 days, raising the key issues that local residents
00:20have told me on the doorstep. I'm going to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and get more
00:24bobbies back on the beat. I'm going to hold a jobs fair to get more local jobs for young people
00:29and also those seeking new work. We're going to bring NHS waiting lists down with 40,000 new
00:35appointments every week across the whole NHS and we're going to make sure that we can get the cost
00:40of living crisis under wraps and I'm going to be bringing forward a new task force to make that
00:45happen here in Blackpool. It's going to be a tough job, we know it's not going to be something that
00:50can be done overnight but I'm ready to roll up my sleeves again and get to work.
