00:18What is the reaction of your group on the appointment of the incoming Deputy Secretary Sonny Angara?

00:53We are very happy with the decision of our President. We can say that he is an official member of our political party.

01:01Since we have a new Secretary, we will support him and we will do everything we can with the help of our new Secretary.

01:21We are willing to engage the new Secretary.

01:30What are the critical areas that the incoming Deputy Secretary Sonny Angara should focus on?

01:35You may have heard his statements. One of his focus is the benefit and welfare of teachers.

01:42First of all, sir Raffy, we have been asking for an increase in salary for a long time.

01:48We have a talking point with the incoming Secretary because during his time as a senator, a legislator,

01:57he was one of the lawmakers who passed bills to increase the salaries of teachers.

02:05We will ask for his permission on that.

02:07The other welfare provisions of the Magna Carta for Public School Teachers, which will not be implemented for a long time,

02:16and at least there are two deficit orders that were made by the VP and TAI, which need to be implemented.

02:27I will just mention sir Raffy, this is about the reduction of administrative tasks and overtime pay, which is also...

02:36overtime pay is mandated by the Magna Carta for Public School Teachers.

02:41There is no policy on that because our outgoing Secretary Inday Sara Duterte was released in February.

03:58I just want to clarify sir Raffy that most of these issues are actually welfare in nature.

04:13No. Because if the condition of our teachers is good, we will ensure that their teaching will be good.
