00:00Hey, it's People in 10, and with July officially here, we're all feeling the heat.
00:09And our girl Hailey Bieber's got just the tip for some relief on those scorching summer
00:13days.
00:14Put your feet and legs in a nice bath or a cold plunge.
00:17It's easy.
00:18And she's pregnant with her first kiddo, so she knows what she's talking about.
00:21A couple of weeks ago, she was also open about having some lower back pain.
00:25I just love how she's keeping it real about pregnancy.
00:29And we got to see another mama-to-be this week, in all her glory, thanks to Fat Joe,
00:34who posted this snapshot from Ashanti and Nelly's baby shower.
00:37Surprise!
00:38So, word on the street is, it was a total surprise.
00:44That is so hard to pull off anymore.
00:46But some of us have been waiting for two decades for this baby, so you gotta pull out all the
00:51stops.
00:52Oh, baby.
00:53It's a holiday week, and we're dreaming of that perfect getaway.
00:57Or basically, just Blake Lively's trip to Capri.
01:00Ah, la dolce vita.
01:02And we love the way she's spending this holiday, too.
01:05Meeting the locals, supporting their businesses, and sharing intimate meals with friends.
01:09And leave it to Blake to have the coolest vacay outfit.
01:12All these layers are loose, comfy, and it just seems so effortless.
01:16But we see those elevated accessories, oh yes, we're feeling inspired.
01:21Hey, listen, comebacks can happen.
01:24Will Smith, he knows that all too well.
01:26He's forging ahead with one right now.
01:28Or is he?
01:29I want to know everything.
01:30Let's call my friend, Jack.
01:32Hey, Mako, what's going on?
01:34Hey, Jack.
01:35Okay, so Will performed at the BET Awards on Sunday night.
01:38Now, what do you think?
01:39Is his comeback from the slap, is it complete?
01:42Maybe, maybe not.
01:44You know, he delivered a great performance of his new song, You Can Make It, at the awards
01:48show.
01:49And that kind of saw him return to his roots.
01:51We all got to know him as a musician back in the day.
01:54He didn't address the infamous Oscars moment, you know, directly.
01:57But the lyrics hit on, like, reflecting on his darker days, which we can kind of assume
02:02might have something to do with all the changes that happened to his career after that.
02:06That's so true.
02:07But are people really ready to just move on and forget about it?
02:10It's possible.
02:11There's a lot of love around Will Smith from the industry and from fans alike.
02:15He had Friday on stage doing the song with him and he had Childish Gambino give him a
02:19shout out.
02:20With any good PR team and also just time, a lot of time has passed since the Oscars
02:25moment, you know, you can really make a comeback.
02:28So what's next for him after this?
02:30So he just had the latest Bad Boys movie come out and his entire family was there to support
02:35him on the red carpet, which is really good to see.
02:37And this new song is the first from his upcoming album, his first in 20 years, called Dance
02:42In Your Darkest Moments.
02:43Then beyond that, the new season of Bel Air, the Fresh Prince reboot that he's an executive
02:47producer on, that comes out later this summer.
02:50Okay, sounds like he's really busy and with family, I feel like you can get through anything.
02:54Well, thanks for the info, Jack, and happy Ford.
02:57Happy 4th, Mako, anytime.
02:58Bye.
02:59Now, it takes a lot to make a rock star starstruck, but that's exactly what happened at Glastonbury
03:05in England when a certain actor channeled his inner rock star and hit the stage with
03:10Coldplay.
03:11The main reason why we're in a band is because I'm watching Back to the Future.
03:14So thank you to our hero forever and one of the most amazing people on Earth, Mr. Michael
03:19J. Fox.
03:20Thank you so much, Michael.
03:21They performed two songs together, and Michael had a blast.
03:25Actually, in his words, it was bleeping mind blowing.
03:29Could not have said it better myself.
03:32And across the Irish Sea in Dublin was the Heiress tour, which was a star studded as
03:36ever.
03:37So of course, America's boyfriend, Travis Kelcey, was there and y'all look at Taylor's
03:41reaction to seeing him in the crowd.
03:43A smile that fans and comedian Nikki Glaser got on cam.
03:47Stevie Nicks was there too.
03:48Legendary.
03:49And she got a shout out from Taye during Claire Vogue.
03:52Stevie enjoyed the show from the VIP tent where she belongs, OK, along with Julia Robbins,
03:58who was spotted chatting up Trav and even giving him a hug.
04:00Man, why do these European shows hit so different?
04:05But Taye isn't letting all this attention go to her head.
04:07She's actually giving someone else their flowers, Simone Biles.
04:11So Simone used Ready For It during her floor routine at the Olympic trials.
04:15Are you ready for it?
04:19Then the video of the routine went viral because of course it did.
04:23This girl is unstoppable.
04:24And Taylor not only saw, she publicly tweeted her reaction calling Simone ready for it.
04:29It being winning some more Olympic medals in Paris this summer.
04:32We'll be watching and I guess so will Tay Tay.
04:36Weddings are a time of love, romance, celebration and a little family fun.
04:41Susan Sarandon's daughter, Eva Amari, had that in mind as she married chef Ian Hook
04:46in the Hudson Valley.
04:47Not only were her mom and three kids there, but also Susan's former partner, Tim Robbins.
04:52Hey, look, the gang's all here.
04:54It's so nice to see them get together to support the bride.
04:58And don't bother coming for Eva over her strapless dress.
05:01She's already got her clapback ready to go.
05:06But things are less happy in another Hollywood marriage.
05:09I'm just going to say it.
05:10These two have us on split watch.
05:12I can't be the only one watching their every move, right?
05:15Anyway, the latest, Ben is out of the mansion they've shared since 2023.
05:20For the record, it is on the market.
05:22But get this timing.
05:23He moved all of his stuff out before J.Lo got back from her trip to Italy last week.
05:27Now Ben's still living in a rental a few miles away, which we learned about a while back when
05:32news of their relationship strain was still kind of new.
05:35And now a source tells us they don't even have any plans together this summer.
05:39That does not sound good.
05:42Now it's the sit down with Eva Longoria.
05:44Hi Eva.
05:45Congrats on Land of Women.
05:47We love having you back on screen.
05:49What made you choose this specific project as someone who makes interesting career choices?
05:54The journalist told me this.
05:55They were like, it's been 10 years since you've been on TV.
05:58And I was like, really?
05:59It hasn't?
06:00I was like, I don't, I didn't think it'd been that long.
06:03I've just been directing so much that I haven't even looked up to realize, oh my gosh, I think
06:08it's time for me to be back on TV.
06:09This is a girl's trip.
06:10No phone.
06:11Give it to me.
06:12Mom.
06:13Give me the phone.
06:14Cuidado!
06:15I called my friend Ramon Campos, who's an amazing writer from Spain.
06:20And I was like, Ramon, write me a show, like Under the Tuscan Sun and Eat, Pray, Love.
06:24And like, I want it to be fun and I want it to be a dramedy.
06:27I just wanted to reverse engineer where I wanted to shoot, tonally what it should be.
06:34And then Ramon went and found this book and wrote the show.
06:37Like we went backwards.
06:38Before you knew it, we were shooting in the north of Spain and I was speaking Spanish
06:42and I was like, ah, what did I get myself into?
06:45I hadn't realized you never acted in Spanish before.
06:49And in a comedy that was like terrifying.
06:52Opposite of Carmen Moura, who's like this legend of an actor.
06:57And so it was a lot.
06:59It was like, oh my gosh, why did I ask for this?
07:03But it was so much fun.
07:04I know it would be a pain to be on the run from criminals, but doing it with mom and
07:08daughter and settling into a romantic wine town in Spain with a hot vineyard owner isn't
07:14the worst thing.
07:15If you were on the run, who would you bring with you and where would you go?
07:18Oh my God.
07:19I would bring my girlfriend Maria.
07:21She's the godmother of my son.
07:23And we would go on the run to France.
07:27To the south of France.
07:28To like a ville that you could never find us.
07:33Probably because one of us murdered somebody, I'm sure.
07:37We also can't wait to see you on Only Murders in the Building season four.
07:41It was just announced you'll be playing yourself.
07:43Who's playing Mabel, who's played by Selena Gomez.
07:46So with a role like that, where do you start?
07:49They called me and they were like, we have a role for you.
07:51And I thought it was going to be Selena's aunt, Mabel's aunt.
07:55And I was like, oh, is it Mabel's aunt?
07:57And they were like, no, even better.
08:00You're playing Eva Longoria.
08:02I just got an email.
08:04A Hollywood studio wants to make a movie of our podcast.
08:07It was the best character I've ever played because it was just me, but heightened.
08:11It's me, Zach Galifianakis, Eugene Levy, Meryl Streep, Melissa McCarthy, and then Marty,
08:17Steve, and Selena.
08:18I mean, there was days on set.
08:19I was like, where am I?
08:20Pinch me.
08:21Okay.
08:22I got to send some happy belated B-Day wishes to your son, Santiago.
08:26You've got a six-year-old and you've said he's growing up very cultured, which is such
08:30a gift to be able to give him.
08:31Does that mean it takes a lot to impress him now?
08:34Probably.
08:35He's definitely well-traveled and so he's, he's really, um, I love that he knows, you
08:41know, like if we go to Australia, he's like, oh, are we going to see koalas?
08:46You know?
08:47Or if we go to Spain, he's like, oh, we're going to eat jamon.
08:50Like he knows so much already.
08:53And I love that because I like a well-traveled person and I'm glad that it's my son.
08:58We just published a story on people.com about you wearing eight different outfits in one
09:02press day around New York City.
09:04You are our style queen.
09:06But tell us, what does it really take to pull off such a chaotic day in the life?
09:10It was actually nine.
09:12You guys missed one.
09:15It was like a 18-hour day.
09:17I woke up at five and went to bed at 10.
09:18I don't know what the math is on that, but no, went to bed at 11.
09:22It was like changing a lot, running from building to building and it wasn't as hot as it is
09:27today.
09:28Thank God.
09:29I know you've been asked to reflect a bit on Desperate Housewives lately because it's
09:31turning 20 this year, which feels impossible.
09:34Can you even wrap your head around everything that's happened in the 20 years since it premiered?
09:40I know.
09:41It feels like yesterday that I shot the pilot and at the same time feels like so another
09:45life.
09:47I was like, when was I on that show?
09:48I go back and forth between it, but I've always been so ... I always look at it as the biggest
09:54blessing of my life.
09:55It was so much fun.
09:56It was a decade of my life and I used Desperate Housewives as my film school.
10:00I learned everything about making TV and shooting from that set.
10:08It was the biggest budget show in the world and we were making basically a movie a week.
10:15It's how much infrastructure we had and the talent that came in with directors and actors.
10:23I was really lucky to have had that experience because it's led me to where I am in my directing
10:27career.
10:28Okay.
10:29We're going to put 10 seconds on the clock.
10:31Promote any one of your projects.
10:32Ready?
10:33Go.
10:34Please watch Land of Women on Apple TV+.
10:36It's about three generations of women, my mother, my daughter, myself, and it's so much
10:40fun.
10:41Drama, comedy, heist, mystery, all of it.
10:46Eva, thank you so much for being here.
10:48Oh, thank you so much.
10:50It's so kind.
