00:00All right. Okay. Today, we are back with another Haikyuu reaction video.
00:07And Jordan, we are on episode 7 of season 2.
00:11Making our way.
00:12And we have just met the OG himself, Grandpa Ukai.
00:18I love that man. I said that in the last episode, brother.
00:22He's got so much wisdom that he can impart on Hinata and other members of the team.
00:31But so far, we've only seen him really work with Hinata.
00:35And we can't forget that he led Karasuno to nationals with the little giant.
00:41So he's got a lot to share.
00:43Yeah. And you can tell that Hinata really respects him.
00:46And a little bit of healthy fear.
00:49Healthy fear. I like that.
00:51But I'm ready. We're on episode 7.
00:55Let's see where it goes.
00:57Let's go, brother.
00:58So we're going to start by reading some of your comments.
01:01And the first comment comes to us from Gukuna.
01:05And Gukuna writes,
01:08I can't wait to see you watching the future episodes.
01:11It becomes more interesting and each member's developments are amazing and inspiring to watch.
01:18I think this is my fifth time watching Haikyuu!
01:21And I still want to see them like the real people.
01:24Watching the boys again with you guys makes it more enjoyable.
01:29By the way, you two are so handsome, too.
01:35Please don't flatter us, Gukuna.
01:37Why, thank you, Gukuna.
01:39We appreciate it.
01:41Yes.
01:42And I don't think we've read a comment from Gukuna before.
01:45This sounds like a new name.
01:47Yeah.
01:48So nice to meet you.
01:49Great to meet you.
01:50Okay.
01:51The next comment we have comes from our patron, Erza.
01:55And Erza writes,
01:56Love the great reaction like always, J&J.
01:59I played both setter and hitter roles when I played volleyball.
02:03So I, like how Oikawa is saying, Kageyama isn't the one leading the attack, but Hinata.
02:15It's probably the most spot-on thing for pretty much all spikers in volleyball.
02:19Because while it's true setters allow spikers to score points,
02:23it's the spiker that's doing a lot of thinking when they are about to score.
02:28Like where the receiver are, if they should feint, or even how many blockers there are.
02:35And it's because I was in both of these positions, or both of those positions,
02:39that I, as a setter, understand that it's not my place to tell how my spikers should hit the ball.
02:45And where to score, like Kageyama was doing to Hinata.
02:49When setting the fast, like, toss to him.
02:52But to give them the best toss, I could do them.
02:56Or I could to them, so they have the ability to score a point that they know they can win.
03:03Okay.
03:04Erza continues,
03:06I could relate to Hinata when he said he wants to change the ways he plays.
03:11I can't read today.
03:12The way he plays.
03:13Because he doesn't want to rely on Kageyama all the time.
03:17And how he wants to fight on his own in the air.
03:21Yeah.
03:22I was in that position too.
03:24In my first year in high school, I constantly kept getting blocked when I was doing my cross attacks.
03:29And I could tell it's not going to work with the same blockers again and again.
03:33But my setter kept telling me that if I keep doing what I do, I will eventually score.
03:38But I wasn't happy with just eventually.
03:40I wanted that now.
03:42I wanted to be better so that when I go against the same blockers, they wouldn't be able to touch my spike.
03:47Just like Hinata wants to when going against stronger people.
03:51Wow.
03:52So this is very, very valuable first-hand experience that we're getting here from our patron, ErzaJerd.
04:00Yeah.
04:01After re-watching this episode, everything Erza says hits that much more.
04:05Spot on.
04:06Yeah.
04:07Erza, keep writing in.
04:09We love hearing from people who actually play volleyball.
04:12And have very similar experiences to Hinata and other players on the team.
04:17Yeah.
04:18It brings it to life.
04:20Erza was multi-dimensional in the volleyball court.
04:23Alright.
04:24So now we have a few comments.
04:26A few more comments.
04:28The next comment comes to us from Charity.
04:32And Charity writes,
04:33Watching Grandpa Ukai interact with Hinata, Coach Ukai, and the kids gives us an idea of why he was so famous back then.
04:42And how he was able to take Karasuno to Nationals.
04:46He's strict, but he's attentive and does well with simplifying the game to where even the kids can understand.
04:53Going back to the fundamentals with Hinata was a great idea.
04:57When I first watched Haikyuu, I was amazed with how much of a beast Hinata was.
05:02And that's what I focused on.
05:05But as I kept re-watching, I realized sometimes it can be easy to forget the fact that he joined with little to no experience.
05:13We've already forgotten that.
05:16Right?
05:17It seems like he's been playing forever.
05:20Yeah.
05:21That's also what makes him and Lev relate to each other.
05:25Yes.
05:26He came into the game with little to no experience at all.
05:28Yeah.
05:29I wonder if Kenma is the same.
05:32Charity continues,
05:34He taught himself and only learned through observing and doing whatever he was told to do.
05:39Grandpa Ukai is setting down a foundation so Hinata can build on it and work on growing stronger from there.
05:47Can never go wrong with going back to the basics.
05:50Spot on.
05:51Karasuno is moving on up.
05:53Moving on up.
05:54And despite their loss to Seijo, despite their losses at the training camp, and despite the fight between Hinata and Kageyama,
06:01they continue to push forward.
06:03They're taking everything that they've learned.
06:06Learned or earned?
06:07They learned, maybe.
06:08Oh, got it.
06:09And are making it their own so they can grow as a team and as individuals.
06:15Great freaking comment, Charity.
06:18Back to the basics.
06:19Back to the basics.
06:21That's what the last episode should have been titled.
06:23Yeah.
06:24Back to the basics.
06:25All right, thank you, Charity.
06:26We have one final comment before we jump into episode seven, everybody.
06:30This one comes from our patron, Ricci?
06:33Ricci.
06:34That sounds like a type of noodle.
06:39Ricci.
06:40I want some Ricci tonight.
06:42Riccata.
06:43Yeah.
06:44Or a type of cheese.
06:45Give me some Ricci.
06:46That sounds Italian, yeah.
06:48Please let us know if we're pronouncing your name right, Ricci.
06:52But Ricci wrote in to us and says,
06:55Finally, a Haikyuu reaction.
06:57I had a day off yesterday so I binged watched all the AOT season three part two reactions to catch up.
07:04And it's safe to say that it emotionally drained slash damaged me.
07:09It's time for some healing with Haikyuu.
07:11Haikyuu really does bring about some much needed healing.
07:15And by the way, everybody, we are now entering season four of AOT if any of you are interested.
07:22Be careful what you wish for.
07:24Ricci continues, Season two of Haikyuu is my favorite.
07:28I love how all the boys are trying new things to improve themselves.
07:32It actually takes some courage to try new things.
07:35Sometimes there are people who are too scared to get out of their comfort zones.
07:39So they remain stagnant.
07:41And sometimes there are people who are too arrogant to accept that they are lacking skills.
07:46And in the end, they never improve themselves.
07:50Very well said, man.
07:51Great video, guys. I'm looking forward to the next episodes.
07:56Yeah, well, well stated.
07:59Fear can sort of hold you back sometimes, man.
08:01Absolutely.
08:03But I do, indeed, like Ricci, love how we got to see firsthand how a lot of the members on the team are doing things to improve their overall game.
08:15And one thing that I noticed that came up a lot, I think Hinata said it.
08:19Asahi said it.
08:20They said, I don't want to get left behind.
08:23So they don't want their skills to sort of get left behind and the team to flourish without them.
08:30Right.
08:31And that's the purpose of a team.
08:32Teams can force you to improve your individual skills for the betterment of the team.
08:38Right. Competition, hard work, it's contagious.
08:41Yeah.
08:42And I think Kageyama and Hinata have spurred something here.
08:46Yeah.
08:47That is causing other players to work on their own skills and to try to develop their own game.
08:52Could I say one final thing real quick?
08:54No.
08:56One member of the team I'm a bit curious about is Tsukishima.
09:03Hmm.
09:04Because I believe there was a point in Episode 6 where Yamaguchi was telling Tsukishima that he was about to go practice his serve or practice his overall game with one of the alumni players that he's been working with.
09:21Yep.
09:22And Tsukishima sort of, he didn't say much and then he just walked away.
09:26Yeah.
09:27So I want to learn more about Tsukishima.
09:29I feel like we're still waiting to dive into his world.
09:32Yeah.
09:33But I hope he's doing okay.
09:35Yeah. Maybe we'll be a fly on the wall in his house soon.
09:38Yeah.
09:39I think we need something like that.
09:40Yeah.
09:41All right, everybody, sit back and enjoy.
09:43This is Episode 7 of Season 2 of Haikyuu! Moonrise.
09:47Let's go.
09:56In the middle of the night.
09:59What?
10:22Hmm.
10:29She got Suki?
10:30Yeah, there's Suki.
10:34All right.
10:35You want to jump right in?
10:36Up to you, boss.
10:37Let's jump right in.
10:38Let's head to training camp.
10:59Is that Suki?
11:00That's like Lev, right?
11:01That's Lev.
11:02I was going to say, Suki putting in that work.
11:09Oh, is that Suki?
11:11That's like Lev, right?
11:12Oh, that's Lev.
11:14I was gonna say, Suki putting in that work.
11:29Oh my gosh.
11:31And he's probably not lying.
11:32In two weeks?
11:33Yeah.
11:37What'd he say?
11:38I'm gonna switch out members constantly this time around, okay?
11:52She's still hanging in there.
11:53Yeah.
11:54We'll see how comfortable she's gotten.
11:56Yeah.
12:04He's been working on this, man.
12:05Think he's taking too much stuff?
12:07I don't think so.
12:10Oh, maybe something happened.
12:22As you can see, he stopped to think.
12:26He said, it feels different when I'm in an actual match.
12:38Hmm.
12:40He'll get it.
12:44Damn.
12:45Don't get it.
12:50Hey, let's not forget it.
12:51It's up to Hinata.
12:52And he's been practicing.
12:54Yeah.
12:55Right?
12:56To hit any set.
12:57Oh.
12:58Look at that, Jerry.
13:03This is a big moment right here.
13:05Yeah.
13:07And that's gonna instill confidence in Kageyama.
13:09Yeah.
13:13He's different.
13:26Hmm.
13:27Asahi, right?
13:29Yes, sir.
13:30Yeah.
13:36Oh.
14:01Oh.
14:09He's been working on that, Jerry.
14:17They're trying to put the pieces together here, bro.
14:19I mean, what better place to practice?
14:21Yeah.
14:26It's all good.
14:31Oh.
14:35Hmm.
14:52There you go.
14:53There's that word again.
14:55Evolution.
14:56Yeah.
15:01Suki.
15:06Yeah, you haven't heard a word from Suki in a long time, man.
15:14Oh, gosh.
15:30Hmm.
16:01Hmm.
16:13Broccoli?
16:16He called him broccoli?
16:17I think so.
16:30Hmm.
16:38They can't get enough of him.
16:39Right.
16:45Oh, boy.
16:58Hmm.
17:01All right.
17:02We got an AI on the dance.
17:04Allen Iverson.
17:09Yeah, somebody's gotta find a way to get into Suki's head.
17:12Hmm.
17:20Oh.
17:22I don't know if he can say no to this.
17:30Hmm.
18:01Hmm.
18:09Hmm.
18:18Ooh.
18:21All right.
18:22Looks like Suki accepts the challenge.
18:24Well, I mean...
18:26Can't insult him and have him walk away.
18:29Yeah.
18:30What the hell is that?
18:32You saw that up there?
18:33What?
18:34Is that a bug?
18:47Without talking to each other.
18:56Oh.
19:03All right.
19:13Oh, my goodness, man.
19:22Hmm.
19:26I mean, this will certainly make him better.
19:29Yeah.
19:35He's good.
19:36He's good.
19:44Ooh.
19:46Ha ha ha.
19:56Hmm.
20:19Ha ha ha.
20:26Hmm.
20:32Oh, that's right.
20:33Yeah.
20:45Which one is he saying is more naturally talented?
20:48I think Hinata.
20:49Hinata.
20:50Yeah.
20:55Oh.
21:06Kuro.
21:23Hmm.
21:26Hmm.
21:28Right.
21:32Uh-oh.
21:35Awkward.
21:40Tanaka?
21:41What you doing up in there?
21:42Was that him?
21:45Is that him?
21:46I think so.
21:50Yeah, because that's the only one you know yet.
21:56Oh, he must have forgot them in the other gym.
21:58In this gym.
22:01He said, this is just a club.
22:03Why do you put so much into this?
22:18Ooh.
22:19That you suffer later.
22:21So is it like a defense mechanism, you think, for him?
22:23Looks like it.
22:25Who was he looking at, suffering?
22:27Yeah, I want to say Suga, but I could be wrong.
22:31No, I don't think that looks like Suga.
22:32He has like brown hair.
22:33And it looks like a home.
22:35Maybe his brother?
22:37Ah.
22:39After a loss, right?
22:40Right.
22:41And a younger Suki, maybe?
22:43Yeah.
22:46I can understand that to an extent.
22:48Yeah.
22:52Hmm.
22:56Hmm.
22:58Hey, Tsukishima!
23:00I'll catch you!
23:01I won't hold back!
23:02Mr. Nishinoya.
23:03You have a big stomach.
23:05What did you say?!
23:06How dare you!
23:07I'll break your head!
23:08Thank you very much!
23:09Hey, hey!
23:10Stop it!
23:11Hey!
23:12I'll get you!
23:13Daichi will get mad.
23:22Oh!
23:26Go!
23:32Go!
23:33Wow.
23:36It's the only way to get better.
23:37They're going to be the most conditioned team.
23:39Hmm.
23:45Ooh, hey.
23:48That's the best sight you can ever see after a loss.
23:51Or, wow.
23:54Good old watermelon.
24:04Hmm.
24:22Hmm.
24:34Hmm.
24:51By the way.
24:52Huh?
24:53I heard your name during the training camp.
24:57Is there a guy named Tsukishima in Karasuno right now?
25:02Yeah, there is.
25:04He's got glasses.
25:05He's so cocky.
25:06He's not cute at all.
25:07That guy named Tsukishima.
25:09Don't you know him?
25:10Oh, there we go.
25:11So you were right.
25:12He's not the type to talk about himself.
25:15When I was in Karasuno,
25:18that was when Danbare was the strongest.
25:21When there was a small titan?
25:23Yeah.
25:24I think there was a guy named Tsukishima in the volleyball club at that time.
25:29Oh, shoot.
25:30Tsukishima's brother?
25:32But I don't know.
25:34He might be a different person with the same last name.
25:38Hey!
25:39It's about to start.
25:40Alright, let's go.
25:41Hey, Tanaka's sister's got all the tea.
25:44She's got all the...
25:47Oh!
25:48Who was that?
25:50Kenma, man.
25:51With his little feint, I believe it's called.
25:57Keep running.
26:11Why, thank you, fine sir.
26:18Thank you very much.
26:19I need to increase my success rate.
26:22Don't you hate it, Azumane-san?
26:25Hate what?
26:27It feels like a strong talent is approaching from below.
26:30Yeah.
26:31Well, I guess my heart won't rest.
26:34Hinata, you're probably still sticking to the title of ace, aren't you?
26:39That's true.
26:41That's why I started saying that it's no good to stay like this.
26:45Well, thanks to that, the other guys and I feel like we're on fire.
26:48If you're not careful, you'll be bitten by Hinata, who's concentrating too much again.
26:54Because he's too focused?
26:55Yeah.
26:56That's what you found when you jumped into Spike, right?
27:00Tsukishima and I have a position that's relatively close to Hinata's rivalry.
27:05Hinata, who was like a chick, must feel that she's growing day by day.
27:12But I don't intend to lose.
27:16A little bit of friendly competition.
27:19Left, left!
27:22All right!
27:24Hey, if you're slacking off right now, do a backflip!
27:27That was obvious. I'm sorry.
27:30Tsukishima! Tsukishima!
27:31Sensei, what do you think of Tsukishima?
27:34I think he's doing it seriously.
27:37Nice!
27:38Even if you get a pass, you don't aim for 100 points.
27:41Yeah.
27:42That's how I felt about Tsukishima.
27:44I'm not asking for enthusiasm or anything.
27:47But if you're going to be pushed around like this, you'll have to change the rules.
27:52Because the ones who stand on the court are the ones who win the game.
27:55It's a precious team spirit.
27:58If Tsukishima becomes the key to the block, the level of defense will go up.
28:03I see.
28:05Cover! Cover!
28:07Leave it to me!
28:10Tsukishima!
28:12They're all fired up.
28:14They're all so motivated that they've never been before.
28:18But sometimes they're a little scary.
28:21A contact like the last time won't lead to a major injury.
28:26To the left! Ichiban!
28:30Asahi! I'm counting on you!
28:33It's a little short.
28:36Oh!
28:43Stay right there, Hinata.
28:46Nice!
28:53Even Suki shot.
29:06Right.
29:19Maybe that'll inspire Suki.
29:22Okay! Okay!
29:28He's working now.
29:29You can go ahead. I'm fine.
29:34Okay.
29:35Yamaguchi's still a bit worried about him.
29:45It's practice time!
29:49You look beautiful today, Senpai.
29:54You're still in a hurry.
29:57Tsukishima?
29:59That guy...
30:01I think he'd be able to do a lot more.
30:06A lot more?
30:08A lot more...
30:10It's a waste of 188 centimeters.
30:13Hey, glasses.
30:15You're practicing spikes again today, aren't you?
30:18I'm sorry.
30:20Really?
30:22Kuro!
30:23I haven't said anything yet!
30:26Why?
30:27Are you friends with Fukurodani's ace?
30:30No.
30:31Why won't you say anything? It's a waste.
30:33Shut up.
30:35Unlike you, I'm not a stamina idiot.
30:38What?
30:40What's with you, Tsukishima?
30:42Fukurodani's ace is asking you to practice, but you won't say anything?
30:46I can't believe it!
30:48Hinata.
30:49You know...
30:51What would you say to Tsukiyomi right now?
30:55Well...
30:57Like when we were in Kageyama or Yatsuzan.
31:02I won't say anything, but...
31:03What?
31:05I mean, I don't know if Tsukishima wants to play volleyball or not.
31:08Even if you tell someone you don't want to play, there's nothing you can do about it.
31:13Damn it!
31:14Even though he's that tall!
31:16If I were that tall, I'd do this and that!
31:20Tsukiyo.
31:21Huh?
31:23I don't think he hates volleyball.
31:27If he doesn't, he won't come to Karasuno.
31:30What about Yamaguchi?
31:31Huh?
31:32If it's Yamaguchi, what would you say to Tsukishima?
31:53Suki!
31:55Suki, Suki.
31:57What did you pick up from this episode?
32:00Yeah, I mean...
32:01You mentioned it even before we started.
32:03Yeah.
32:04How Suki was on your mind.
32:06It's deeper.
32:07Yep.
32:08Right?
32:09And by Suki not sharing what's on his mind and him being standoffish, nobody can help him.
32:16Hmm.
32:17Right?
32:18He's obviously dealing with something that a lot of people deal with.
32:22Yeah.
32:23I have to assume.
32:24People with older siblings.
32:25Right?
32:26You see your older siblings just get ravaged.
32:28Hmm.
32:29Especially if they play sports.
32:31Right?
32:32And after losses, if they cry or if they do what we saw Suki's brother doing.
32:37Yeah.
32:38Right?
32:39It has an impact.
32:40So, I agree with Yamaguchi.
32:43I don't think Suki hates volleyball whatsoever.
32:46Right?
32:47In fact, I think he loves the game.
32:48Yeah.
32:49He's just really cautious and fearful of giving it his all.
32:56Right?
32:57100%.
32:58And then getting let down.
33:00That's heartbreak.
33:01That's heartbreak.
33:02Yeah.
33:03So, I feel for him.
33:04Yeah.
33:05Spot on, man.
33:06I don't think I could have said it any better.
33:07I find it similar to getting into a relationship.
33:11Hmm.
33:12Right?
33:13Sometimes you can be terrified of falling in love because there's a possibility that
33:20you could get heartbroken.
33:22Right.
33:23Or that things may not work out.
33:24But usually, what do they say?
33:26The best relationships are the ones where you sort of put those fears to the side and
33:32accept that that is a possibility.
33:35And if it happens, you deal with it then.
33:37Yeah.
33:38But I agree with you.
33:40Seeing a brother or whoever that was go through that and witnessing that pain firsthand, it
33:45can really have an impact on you.
33:47Yeah.
33:48I hope we learn more about that.
33:49Yeah.
33:50Especially if Suki attended the games.
33:52Yeah.
33:53Right?
33:54Yeah, man.
33:55Oh, boy.
33:56Suki, Suki.
33:57He'll come around.
33:58Coach Ukai said, referring to Suki, he's the tallest and essential to this team.
34:04Mm-hmm.
34:05So, Coach Ukai sees it.
34:06Right?
34:07Yeah.
34:09Some of the players are saying, it's such a waste.
34:11You're so tall.
34:12Snap out of it.
34:14But I have a feeling that it might be one of the players, possibly Hinata, maybe Yamaguchi.
34:22Yeah.
34:23Didn't him and Yamaguchi go to school together previously?
34:27Oh, I forget.
34:29I think they may have gone to school together.
34:32So, they may be the closest out of anybody on the team.
34:34Yeah.
34:35But even Yamaguchi seems to be being brushed off.
34:40Yeah.
34:41Suki.
34:42Yeah, it's hard.
34:43It's hard.
34:44Somebody's got to get to him.
34:45Yeah.
34:46But I love this episode because it's, yet again, it shows you the real dynamics of what
34:53it's like to be on a team, what it's like to play sports.
34:56Yeah.
34:57This is getting deep.
34:58It is.
34:59For an anime.
35:00Right?
35:01Mm-hmm.
35:02It's about what we would think before we started watching Haikyuu.
35:05There's no way that they can replicate the feelings of being an athlete.
35:12Yes, they may be able to hit a ball, but there's no way they can replicate what it's really
35:17like to be an athlete.
35:19Oh, they're doing it.
35:20They're doing it, and they've been doing it, brother.
35:25I'm still not over the scene where we witnessed all of those players cry after the losses.
35:34It hurts.
35:37It's utterly heart-wrenching.
35:41It's painful to lose or come short in something, especially if it's like a national tournament
35:49that you've been dreaming of since you were a kid, and right after the game that you lose,
35:56you will not be playing volleyball ever again.
35:58Yeah.
35:59That's probably the hardest thing to sit with.
36:00I don't know Suki's brother's situation, but nonetheless, it's not an easy thing to deal with.
36:05Yeah.
36:06But someone, someone's gonna pick him up.
36:08Someone's gonna get through to him, I feel, at least.
36:10I agree.
36:11All right, you ready to move on to this next episode?
36:13Let's go, brother.
36:14All right, let's do it.
36:15Thank you so much, everybody, for watching this episode.

36:32We hope everyone out there is doing well.
36:36Love you.
36:37We love you.
