00:00The diabetes is obviously a complex pathology, but lately we have a whole series of technologies
00:12that can help us.
00:14The sensors for the diagnosis of glycemia, which the region aims to guarantee to a larger
00:19number of people, is one of these, because it helps the patient understand how glycemia
00:24varies over time, also in relation to what he eats, and therefore what are the habits
00:29that he must keep, in addition to being able to ward off inadvertent hypoglycemia.
00:35In this sense, however, it is also appropriate to emphasize the availability of new drugs,
00:41which are ingredients, glyphosate, which mark a turning point in the treatment of diabetes,
00:45because they have cardio- and nephroprotective effects.
00:48In this sense, we can say that we have a lot of technological availability, but we would
00:53also like to emphasize the importance of the correct adherence of the patient to his
00:58path of care, because nothing cures a patient if the right drug is taken at the right time,
01:04or the use of the technologies in a correct and functional way, with the correct management
01:10of the clinical treatment.
01:12In this sense, we want to say that there are technologies, the region is certainly strongly
01:17committed to making them available in the best possible way, we also wish a strong
01:21involvement of patients in a conscious path, because this can make a difference to create
01:27health outcomes.
01:29From an organizational point of view, it changes that the patient must go to his
01:34reference diabetologist and can more easily access this continuous monitoring of
01:39hypoglycemia, or FLASH, a monitoring that gives the term of the hypoglycemia
01:44throughout the day.
01:46From an educational point of view, it is fundamental to know the impact of a pathology on
01:52the patient's physical condition and therefore how the pathology should be managed.
01:57A therapeutic plan is always necessary, but it can be done from the first and second
02:02levels, which are present within the region.
