00:00Good morning from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04This is the weather forecast for the first day of July, July 1, 2024, Monday.

00:12In our latest satellite images, we can see the two weather systems,

00:16even though the Intertropical Convergence Zone is almost outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:21And what is affected by this is the part of Southern Mindanao,

00:25particularly the parts of Soxargen,

00:28it will bring cloudy skies with rain,

00:32particularly in the parts of Soxargen and in the area of Davao Occidental.

00:38Meanwhile, the Easterlies, or the wind that blows from the Pacific Ocean,

00:42will still bring cloudy skies with rain,

00:45particularly in the parts of Eastern Visayas.

00:48It will also bring a bigger chance of thunderstorms in the Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

00:55In the coldest part of our country, even here in the part of Luzon,

00:59generally, the weather is still fair, the weather is a bit hot,

01:02but it is still possible for thunderstorms to occur in the afternoon and evening.

01:05As of this moment, we are still not monitoring any low-pressure areas,

01:10or typhoons inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:15We still have not monitored a typhoon that could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:21So, there is still a small chance, at least in the next 2 to 3 days, that we will have a typhoon.

01:25And we will give you an update as soon as we have an eye on it.

01:28And here in Luzon, this is what we expect the weather to be like.

01:32A large part of Luzon will experience isolated or cloudy rains.

01:36When it rains, it is still a bit hot in the afternoon.

01:39There is a bigger chance of thunderstorms, particularly in the Bicol Region,

01:43especially in the area of Quezon and Aurora,

01:46because here, the easterly winds are blowing from the Pacific Ocean.

01:50And as I mentioned, we will still experience a bit of hot and cloudy weather.

01:54In Lawag, the temperature is 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.

01:57In Tagaytay, it is still up to 35 degrees Celsius.

02:00In Baguio, it is 18 to 24 degrees Celsius.

02:03In Camaynilaan, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

02:05As of this moment, in Metro Manila, there are thunderstorms in the afternoon.

02:09In Tagaytay, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:11While in Legazpi, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:15Here in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,

02:18there are isolated rain showers and thunderstorms that will be experienced in Palawan.

02:22The water temperature in Calayan Islands is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

02:26In Puerto Princesa, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:30There is a big chance of cloudy skies with rains in the eastern Visayas

02:34and in the colder parts of the Visayas, in the western and central Visayas,

02:38we expect isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

02:42The water temperature in Tacloban is 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:46In Cebu, it is 27 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:49And in Iloilo, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:52Along with the Intertropical Convergence Zone or RTCZ,

02:56there is a big chance of cloudy skies with rains in the parts of Soxargen,

03:01this is the area of Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani,

03:04as well as the area of Davao Occidental.

03:07So, it is still possible for there to be rains in the southern part of Mindanao.

03:13Meanwhile, it also includes the South Cotabato Province.

03:17In the southern part of Mindanao,

03:19isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will also be experienced.

03:23The water temperature in Cagayan de Oro is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:27In Davao, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:30And in Zamboanga, the water temperature is also 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:35We still have not received a gale warning

03:37from our fellow countrymen who will travel to our seas

03:39due to the expansion of sea vehicles and small boats

03:43in our neighboring countries.

03:45Be careful when there are thunderstorms

03:47that may suddenly intensify the waves of our seas.

03:51And because it is the first day in July,

03:54we expect that there will be a possible track of thunderstorms

03:58in the month of July based on our climatological tracks.

04:02Most of the storms pass through the Bicol area

04:05up to the Northern Luzon area.

04:07It can also recur.

04:14mainly in Luzon, in the Bicol area,

04:16or it recurs towards a part of Japan.

04:48two or three storms will be possible to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility

04:54this month of July.
