Mann Ki Baat में बोले PM Modi, 'सिद्धो-कान्हू का बलिदान देशवासियों के लिए प्रेरणा'
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने चार महीने के लंबे अंतराल के बाद रविवार को 'मन की बात' कार्यक्रम के 111 वें एपिसोड में को संबोधित किया. इस दौरान पीएम ने हूल दिवस की चर्चा की और अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ संघर्ष में संथाल जनजाति के भाइयों सिद्धो-कान्हू के बलिदान को याद किया। पीएम ने कहा, आज 30 जून का दिन बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। हमारे आदिवासी भाई-बहन इस दिन को 'हूल दिवस' के रूप में मनाते हैं। यह दिन वीर सिद्धो-कान्हू के अदम्य साहस से जुड़ा है, जिन्होंने विदेशी शासकों के अत्याचारों का डटकर विरोध किया था। वीर सिद्धो-कान्हू ने हजारों संथाल साथियों को एकजुट किया और अंग्रेजों से पूरी ताकत से मुकाबला किया। क्या आप जानते हैं कि यह कब हुआ था? यह 1855 में हुआ था, यानी 1857 में भारत के प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम से दो वर्ष पहले की बात है। तब झारखंड के संथाल परगना में हमारे आदिवासी भाई-बहनों ने विदेशी शासकों के खिलाफ हथियार उठाए थे। पीएम ने कहा कि हमारे संथाली भाई-बहनों पर अंग्रेजों ने बहुत सारे अत्याचार किए थे, उन पर कई तरह के प्रतिबंध भी लगा दिए थे। इस संघर्ष में अद्भुत वीरता दिखाते हुए वीर सिद्धो और कान्हू शहीद हो गए। उन्होंने कहा, झारखंड की भूमि के इन अमर सपूतों का बलिदान आज भी देशवासियों को प्रेरित करता है।
