00:05:38You plan your work yourself and give it your all.
00:05:40You like to take all the credit for what you do.
00:05:44Just one question here, is the cat going up or down?
00:05:54If you think it's headed up, you're an optimist.
00:05:57You believe you can overcome anything in life if you keep the positive outlook.
00:06:01If you think it's headed down, you're more of a realist.
00:06:04You accept things the way they are and don't rely on miracles to change your life for the
00:06:08better.
00:06:20If you saw the mountain here first, you're more of an introvert.
00:06:24You feel good in your own company and need your alone time to be more productive.
00:06:29If you saw the faces first, you can't survive a day without people.

00:07:37You have 10 seconds to find the only turtle among these leaves.
00:07:51Well done!
00:07:52One of these balls is a button, do you see it?
00:08:05Good job!
00:08:06A croissant clearly doesn't belong under the sea.
00:08:10Find it in 10 seconds.
00:08:21Here it is!

00:08:26Can you find it?
00:08:29Yep, it's right here!
00:08:38And now I give you 10 seconds to find a butterfly among these birds.
00:08:47Bingo!
00:08:54What a cute group of raccoons!
00:08:56One of them stands out, though.
00:08:57Can you find it?
00:09:08Great job!

00:09:42So much love right here!
00:09:44Can you tell the odd one out?
00:09:54This heart has a slightly different mouth.
00:09:57Party time!
00:09:58Which of these emojis doesn't belong here?
00:10:10You got it!
00:10:12Too many sad faces in one place!

00:10:42Good job!
00:10:44Time for dessert!
00:10:45These pictures are different in 5 little things.
00:10:48You have 10 seconds to spot them.
00:10:59It's all about details!
00:11:01Time to fly!
00:11:02Only those who find 5 differences between the pictures are allowed to take off.
00:11:16Welcome aboard!
00:11:18That must be an interesting place to live in!
00:11:20Find 5 differences between these two constructions.
00:11:27Excellent!
00:11:34One of these merry-go-rounds is different from the other in 5 ways.
00:11:38Name them all!
00:11:44Wow, you could be a detective!
00:11:51Same task, different picture!
00:12:03Teddy bear approves!
00:12:05Are you afraid of heights?
00:12:06Then don't get on the Ferris wheel!
00:12:08Let's find 5 differences between the pictures.
00:12:16Impressive!
00:12:23Things look pretty crazy out here, and one picture is crazier than the other in 5 ways.
00:12:28Can you name them all?
00:12:34Wow, I didn't see this one coming!
00:12:42And now it's time for the most difficult task of them all!
00:12:45You have to see what's hidden and almost invisible.
00:12:48I give you 10 seconds for each task as usual.
00:13:01Time's up!
00:13:02Did you see the handshake?
00:13:04Ticking at one level up!
00:13:15I hope you managed to spot this sea monster!
00:13:19Are you serious?
00:13:20Hope you can read between the lines and through color!
00:13:27Bingo!
00:13:31These eyes are just for you!
00:13:33And now it's time for the most difficult task of the day!
00:13:37Here it is!
00:13:47Drum roll…
00:13:48It's a crocodile!
00:13:50And if you managed to see it, you can apply for the job of a detective right now!
00:13:55Hey, how about we create your psychological portrait using optical illusions?
00:14:02You game?
00:14:03The rules are simple.
00:14:04Just remember the first thing you saw in the picture.
00:14:08Now if you see a horse in this picture, you're a very valuable friend.
00:14:13You have excellent communication skills, and you're very confident and reliable.
00:14:18But if the first thing you saw here is the horse's head, it may mean you're critical
00:14:23of everything, and the opinion of others can't throw you off the path.
00:14:27The next illusion.
00:14:29Those who saw a crocodile here love a quiet life and don't like to open up to something
00:14:35new.
00:14:36But if you saw a boat, you're more creative than other people and pay attention to small
00:14:40details.
00:14:42Those who see a young woman here have an analytical mind and use their left brain more.
00:14:48If you see an old man, you're likely to be a very gentle and sensitive person who
00:14:53can be very empathetic to other people.
00:14:55You're more creative, and you use the right side of your brain.
00:15:00The white pillars in the picture mean you like comfort and safety.
00:15:05But you should leave the comfort zone to gain more experience and achieve something new.
00:15:10But if the first thing you see is the silhouettes of two men, then you're the kind of person
00:15:15who doesn't sit in place and is ready to move constantly.
00:15:20Are these flowers or a woman's face?
00:15:23If it's flowers for you, then you appreciate the world you live in and just love nature.
00:15:29But if the first thing to draw your eye was a woman's face, then you have a great ability
00:15:34to highlight details from the environment that will help you to make the right decision.
00:15:40If an orange explosion is painted for you here, you have incredible leadership qualities.
00:15:46But if the first thing you see in this picture is black fingers, then you're a very compassionate,
00:15:52generous, and kind person.
00:15:54Hey, did you see two faces here?
00:15:57You're an extrovert.
00:15:58You're social, and you're constantly thinking about other people.
00:16:02But you also get influenced easily, so try to surround yourself only with good people.
00:16:08But if you see a candlestick here, you're the exact opposite.
00:16:12You think more about yourself than about other people, and you like to sit at home rather
00:16:16than having noisy parties with a bunch of people.
00:16:20This one is scary.
00:16:22If you see a skull here, it means it's hard for you to make decisions and move forward.
00:16:27But you need to find the courage and overcome the circumstances.
00:16:31It's the only way for you to become stronger.
00:16:34And if you see a woman, you're probably feeling like a squeezed lemon, both emotionally
00:16:39and physically.
00:16:40Perhaps you have just ended a difficult period in your life.
00:16:44In any case, stay on the bright side!
00:16:48If you see trees here, you must be an ambitious person who loves to bring everything to perfection.
00:16:55If you saw the roots at the first moment, it means you're a progressive person who
00:16:59strives for improvement.
00:17:01If the whole picture looks like dark lips to you, then you're a person who doesn't
00:17:05like to go deep into something and study too much.
00:17:08Hey, where are those chocolate lips?
00:17:11Now what do we have here?
00:17:13Is it a river and a cliff?
00:17:15Then you're an optimist who adapts easily to the changes in life.
00:17:19But if the first thing you see is a white cat, then you like stability, and you're
00:17:25in an emotional and mental balance.
00:17:27And you're a cat lover, of course.
00:17:30And if you see a face here, then you're a very creative person.
00:17:33You see a new opportunity in every detail of the world, and you're very curious.
00:17:40Whoa, is this an explosion?
00:17:43Then you're easily scared.
00:17:45You often feel fear of something new and unknown.
00:17:48You may even be in conflict with yourself.
00:17:51But if you see a passionate kiss in the smoke, then you value relationships and family the
00:17:57most in life.
00:17:58This is the highest priority for you.
00:18:01Ooh, cute bears!
00:18:03If you saw them first, then you can easily solve problems.
00:18:07You see a picture from far away, notice all the details, and can find the best solution.
00:18:13If for you, this picture is a mountain landscape, then you are a more intuitive person.
00:18:18You're guided by your sixth sense when decision-making.
00:18:23Are you a realist?
00:18:24If you saw a big blue cat here, then yes, you don't have much fantasy, but you see
00:18:29the world as it is, and it helps you make plans on how to conquer it.
00:18:34If a little mouse hits your eyes first, you can see the positive even in the worst-case
00:18:40scenario.
00:18:41For you, the glass is always half-full.
00:18:45The next illusion.
00:18:46If you see a girl at the window, then be careful.
00:18:50This may suggest that you expect something unpleasant to happen.
00:18:54And you're also probably an impulsive person.
00:18:57If you see a skull here, then you're pessimistic.
00:19:00Your friends may call you a cynic, but you consider yourself a realist.
00:19:06Creativity against analytics?
00:19:08What do you see?
00:19:10If the red saxophonist is the first thing you see, then you are a person who likes to
00:19:14systematize and analyze information.
00:19:17You must be good at math and foreign languages.
00:19:20And if you see a portrait of a woman here, then you're an emotional and creative person.
00:19:27Is it a bird?
00:19:28Then you're a daydreamer, though a little absent-minded.
00:19:31But you strive to make the world a better place and invent ways to do so.
00:19:36And if there's a big face of a lion here, then you're a very brave person who's
00:19:41ready to face their insecurities and come out the winner of any fight.
00:19:46And here we have… crocodiles?
00:19:50Then maybe you like to be in charge and manage your life.
00:19:53Orders from other people make you suffer because you're a natural leader.
00:19:58If you see a bird in the middle, you're ready to help others.
00:20:01You're reliable and friendly.
00:20:03Okay, if the first thing you see here is a car, then you're a person who appreciates
00:20:08their freedom.
00:20:10You like to break away on an unexpected journey, meet new people, and see new places.
00:20:16If you saw a person with binoculars, it means you have an analytical type of thinking and
00:20:21you like to look at things from afar, often missing small details.
00:20:25And although you can absorb a lot of visual information, you should focus on the smaller
00:20:30things too.
00:20:32If you saw the letter A, then congratulations!
00:20:35You have a very sharp vision, just like an eagle.
00:20:38So hey, you can dive on a salmon!
00:20:41And you have well-developed intuition.
00:20:43Oh, this one is harder.
00:20:46If you're a girl and you've seen a man's face here, then either you're looking for
00:20:50a partner or your current partner is a priority in your life and you feel a strong emotional
00:20:56connection with him.
00:20:58But if you see a woman's face, then you feel comfortable and self-sufficient.
00:21:04Guys who saw a man's face are concerned about relationships with other men, whether
00:21:08they are colleagues, friends, or even other guys in the gym.
00:21:12And if you see a female face, you're looking for your love.
00:21:16But take your time, or else you may push too hard.
00:21:22This is a test for Super Sherlock.
00:21:25Of course, it's two squirrels, right?
00:21:28Well that means you're pretty lazy, and you don't get too much into details.
00:21:32Now tilt your head a little to the left.
00:21:35Now you can see a woman's face.
00:21:38But if that's what you saw from the beginning, then you're an incredibly attentive person
00:21:43who can get along well with other people.
00:21:46And now we will determine your psychological age.
00:21:50If the first thing you saw was old people's faces, then you have already lived a long
00:21:55and colorful life.
00:21:57You definitely have something to remember.
00:21:59But if you see a young couple sitting next to each other, then you're young and all
00:22:04the fun is waiting for you.
00:22:06Now be ready to give a quick answer.
00:22:09Remember what you see first.
00:22:11Let's go!
00:22:13If you notice a smiling face, you're an optimist.
00:22:17If it's the open book, you're smart and have a well-developed intuition.
00:22:21If it was roses, you're calm and kind.
00:22:25The tilted cross means that you're faithful.
00:22:28Balloons mean cheerfulness and good imagination.
00:22:32If the first thing you saw was a heart, then you're gentle and affectionate.
00:22:37The lion's face means that you're fearless.
00:22:40And if at first you notice the tie, you're determined and diligent.
00:22:45Oh, and if you saw the ice cream cone, then it's time for an eye exam, cause there wasn't
00:22:51one in the picture.
00:22:56How many colors do you see here?
00:22:59If your answer is 3, you're not wrong.
00:23:01Do you think it's 17?
00:23:03Could be.
00:23:05Although the image went viral just recently, the explanation to this mystery is at least
00:23:10a century and a half old.
00:23:12It was discovered by an Austrian math and physics professor, Mach.
00:23:16He noticed you can easily distinguish between similar colors of slightly contrasting shades
00:23:22when they're close to each other.
00:23:24When you set them apart, the difference is barely noticeable.
00:23:28The professor thought it had something to do with the construction of the eyeball and
00:23:32the tissue the retina is made of.
00:23:34The band's effect was later named Mach bands in his honor.
00:23:39Years later, when they had better technology, scientists found the professor was basically
00:23:44right.
00:23:45The retina is similar to a cinema screen.
00:23:48It captures light that's projected through the pupil.
00:23:51Receptors are all over that screen.
00:23:54Some of them are more active under bright light and send a whole lot of signals to the
00:23:58brain.
00:23:59When two cells send similar signals, you might think it's the same shade.
00:24:04Nerves are trying to solve this problem.
00:24:06They send stronger signals to make the difference more obvious at the border of different shades.
00:24:11Your brain then notices a clear boundary.
00:24:14This explains why you can see the difference between similar shades when they're next
00:24:18to each other.
00:24:20The transition between colors can look like a separate color.
00:24:24Some people can't see the difference between contrasting colors in the picture because
00:24:28of how their brains are built.
00:24:30The color rendering abilities, brightness, and contrast of your laptop or smartphone
00:24:35screen is another reason.
00:24:37Then there's also the amount of lighting in your house or office.
00:24:40Plus, you don't have the same optics in your eyes that screen light as anyone else.
00:24:46You also have a unique level of pigment density that affects how your eyes absorb light.
00:24:51You can even have more than regular three cone cell types and see more colors than others.
00:24:57And some people are more affected by the Mach-Bands phenomenon than others.
00:25:01That's why there's no correct answer to how many colors the image contains.
00:25:06Sometimes uncertainty can make different people see one thing differently.
00:25:10The dress that was somehow gold and white, blue and black, blue and white, and blue and
00:25:16blue at the same time became a real sensation.
00:25:20The picture was taken on a cell phone in a really weird lighting and overexposed.
00:25:25You can't tell if it was taken inside or outside, and that means you don't know if
00:25:30it's artificial or natural light.
00:25:33It's not clear if the light illuminates the dress from the front or the back.
00:25:37If it were backlit, there would have to be a shadow.
00:25:40Parts of the dress itself were in shadow.
00:25:42That shadow was reflecting off the dress itself, complicating things even more.
00:25:47Confused?
00:25:48Me too.
00:25:50When your brain doesn't have enough information, it fills in the gaps by making its own assumptions.
00:25:55It mostly makes them based on what it's previously seen or known.
00:25:59That's why your brain could make one guess about lighting conditions and someone else's
00:26:04a totally different one.
00:26:06People who thought it was in a shadow believed the dress was white and gold.
00:26:11Same with those who thought it was in natural light.
00:26:14Shadows and blue sky overrepresent blue light and make things seem yellowish.
00:26:19Oh, and the retailer of the dress officially confirmed it was black and blue, and that
00:26:24it was sold out in the first 30 minutes of business the day after it had gone viral.
00:26:30A new debate over the color of retro sneakers happened a few years later for the same reason.
00:26:35Are they teal and gray?
00:26:37Or maybe pink and white?
00:26:39You can't be sure with weird camera quality, flash, and funky lighting.
00:26:44When you zoom in on the picture, you can notice the hand is unnaturally bluish.
00:26:49So depending on how sensitive your eyes are to light and how your brain fills the visual
00:26:54information gaps, the sneakers can look different to you.
00:26:58In reality, they turned out to be pink and white.
00:27:02Do these strawberries look red to you?
00:27:05In fact, they're gray and green.
00:27:08The picture has been drained of any red.
00:27:10Your brain still makes you see it because of something known as color constancy.
00:27:15Your brain can sometimes ignore information from the color of the light.
00:27:20It knows what strawberries are, and it also knows they're supposed to be red, so it
00:27:25helps you see them as such.
00:27:27When an astronaut posted a picture of some sand dunes, the Internet thought they were
00:27:32pits, not hills.
00:27:34Only when they flipped the pic over, people could see dunes in the indefinite pattern.
00:27:39Turns out your brain thought the sun was in the 1 o'clock position.
00:27:43It means it's supposed to be casting shadows from the upper right.
00:27:47In reality, it was casting shadows from the upper left.
00:27:51So turning it upside down makes things more usual to your brain.
00:27:56How many black spots can you see in this image?
00:27:59There are 12 of them, but most people can't see them all at once.
00:28:03All the dots are perfectly visible, but you can see each of them only when you look directly
00:28:08at it.
00:28:09Your peripheral vision isn't that perfect.
00:28:12Your brain has to fill in the blanks.
00:28:14The white between gray lines makes it think the dots are lighter than they are.
00:28:19So it decides to pretend there's just grayer and the dots aren't there.
00:28:24Although one of them looks twice the size of the other, these guys are of the same size.
00:28:29They're placed in an Ames room, invented by an American ophthalmologist in the 1940s.
00:28:35You'd have to look into a pinhole at a room that seems to be a regular square, but is
00:28:39a trapezoid.
00:28:41The walls and ceilings are tilted, and this makes your eyes see one person tower over
00:28:46another even when they move around.
00:28:49If you have a toy train track at home, you can see how the next illusion works in reality.
00:28:54You take two segments of the same size and put them next to each other.
00:28:59One of them looks obviously larger than the other one.
00:29:02That's because your brain compares the two sides of the pieces that are next to each
00:29:06other.
00:29:07It basically compares the right side of the track that's on the left to the left side
00:29:11of the track that's on the right.
00:29:13When you compare squares A and B in the checker shadow illusion, you can tell square A is
00:29:19much darker than square B. Your brain expects the cylinder to throw a shadow on the board.
00:29:25It compensates for the alternating colors it expected to find.
00:29:29If you still don't believe the squares are of the same color, you can compare them with
00:29:34a color selector in any photo editing program.
00:29:38In the Ebbinghaus illusion, the two circles in the middle of their circle sets are of
00:29:42the same size.
00:29:44Turns out the way you perceive the size of things is all about context.
00:29:49The circle surrounded by larger ones seems smaller, and the one in the company of smaller
00:29:54circles seems to be a giant.
00:29:57There are 12 dots here, all of them are lilac.
00:30:00Their task is to stare at the cross in the middle of the dot ring.
00:30:04As one lilac dot disappears for a moment, a green dot takes its place.
00:30:09It also gradually wipes away other lilac dots one by one as it moves around the circle.
00:30:16This is the after-image effect in action.
00:30:19The rods and cones adjust to the constant disappearance of lilac dots.
00:30:23They replace it with a color from the opposite end of the spectrum, which is green.
00:30:29Fake motion in a still image is one of the most common types of optical illusions.
00:30:34To create one, you have to build a pattern of high-contrast colors.
00:30:38They activate neural signals at the same time.
00:30:41This is how the fake motion effect appears.
00:30:45Café wall illusion was first described in the late 19th century.
00:30:49The tile pattern of a café wall had straight parallel lines and grout in between them.
00:30:55It seemed the black and white lines sloped diagonally.
00:30:58That's because different types of neurons in your brain react to dark and light colors.
00:31:04Some parts of the grout lines seem brighter than others.
00:31:07Where there's contrast, there appears to be asymmetry.
00:31:14Right now, you're going to test your observation skills.
00:31:17This test has 4 levels, and each one's trickier than the last.
00:31:21Find a pen and a piece of paper to write down your score.
00:31:24For each correct answer, you'll get some points.
00:31:271 if it's the first level, 2 if it's the second one, 3 for the third, and 4 for the
00:31:33last one.
00:31:35The results will be at the end of the video.
00:31:38Level 1.
00:31:401.
00:31:41So how many legs can you see in this picture?
00:31:45Right, there are 12 legs, 6 wearing dress shoes, and 6 with high heels.
00:31:512.
00:31:53There's an animal in this picture that's trying really hard to blend in.
00:31:57Can you spot it?
00:31:59Aha, it's this piglet, but its nose gives it away.
00:32:043.
00:32:06Can you find 3 animals hidden in this picture?
00:32:09Right, 3 ducks are hiding among the tree branches.
00:32:134.
00:32:15What's wrong with this image?
00:32:18Two moons, really?
00:32:205.
00:32:21Can you spot anything strange in this picture?
00:32:25A snake is pretending to be a giraffe here.
00:32:296.
00:32:31Just another regular day at the supermarket, or is it?
00:32:36It would be if the lady on the left wasn't wearing skis.
00:32:417.
00:32:43How about this image?
00:32:44Is everything correct here?
00:32:47Not really, there's something wrong with the exit sign.
00:32:518.
00:32:52Why is this laundry trip going to end badly?
00:32:56Because who on earth washes white shirts together with red socks?
00:33:00Not me.
00:33:029.
00:33:03This picture looks weird, but why?
00:33:07The mouse is chasing the cat, not the other way around.
00:33:1210.
00:33:14Can you spot the odd image?
00:33:16Yep, it's the sprinkled donut in the corner.
00:33:21Wow, that was easy.
00:33:22Okay, I'm up for some challenges now.
00:33:26Level 2.
00:33:2811.
00:33:30Which kitty is different from the rest?
00:33:34This one seems to be more pleased with life than the others.
00:33:3812.
00:33:39There are four mistakes in this picture.
00:33:42Try to find all of them.
00:33:45Well, let's see.
00:33:46A globe under the sink, a pair of shoes in the cupboard,
00:33:49a shirt instead of the curtains, and a table lamp instead of the faucet.
00:33:54This woman's life must be full of adventures.
00:33:5713.
00:33:59Can you see two different things in this image?
00:34:03It can be a girl or someone's face.
00:34:0614.
00:34:08Do you see a deer?
00:34:10A real master of camouflage.
00:34:1415.
00:34:15Can you find three animals here?
00:34:19I've only got one question.
00:34:21What are rabbits doing up there?
00:34:2416.
00:34:26There are three things wrong in this picture.
00:34:29Can you spot them all?
00:34:31There's no red light and no rails for the tram.
00:34:35And December 32nd?
00:34:37Seriously?
00:34:38You really want 2020 to last that much longer?
00:34:4117.
00:34:42Which girl looks different?
00:34:45The one in the right bottom corner.
00:34:48Because it's a boy.
00:34:5018.
00:34:51Which magician is different from the rest?
00:34:54Yeah, he probably decided to stand out from the crowd by wearing a different cloak.
00:35:0019.
00:35:02Something is missing in this picture.
00:35:04But what exactly?
00:35:07The sun is bright.
00:35:08But then, where are the camel's shadows?
00:35:1220.
00:35:13Which emoji is different?
00:35:16Yep, the non-winking one.
00:35:20Okay, not so bad.
00:35:23What's next?
00:35:24Surprise me!
00:35:26Level 3.
00:35:2821.
00:35:30How many cubes are there in this picture?
00:35:33There are nine cubes.
00:35:3522.
00:35:37Can you spot the odd one?
00:35:39Yeah, it looks a bit shorter than the rest.
00:35:4423.
00:35:46Can you figure out which string is tied to the banana?
00:35:51I'd bet on the first one.
00:35:52But it's actually number three.
00:35:5524.
00:35:57How many animals can you see in this picture?
00:36:00There are three foxes.
00:36:0325.
00:36:05Something's wrong with this picture.
00:36:07But what?
00:36:09The picture is empty.
00:36:11Where's the milk coming from?
00:36:1426.
00:36:16Can you read what's written here?
00:36:20It's a mystery.
00:36:21Um, no, no, you don't get it.
00:36:23The word is mystery.
00:36:2627.
00:36:28Which unicorn is different?
00:36:31This one.
00:36:32Because it's a horse, not a unicorn.
00:36:3628.
00:36:37What's wrong in this picture?
00:36:40The fish doesn't have fins.
00:36:4329.
00:36:44What's hidden here?
00:36:46A tiny hint.
00:36:47It's alive.
00:36:49Right.
00:36:50It's a giant panda.
00:36:5330.
00:36:55What can you see in this image?
00:36:57It's either a face or a penguin.
00:37:01Wow.
00:37:01To tell you the truth, that level made me sweat.
00:37:06Level 4.
00:37:0731.
00:37:09Can you find a snake in this picture?
00:37:11Duh.
00:37:12Looks like a tree root to me.
00:37:1632.
00:37:17What can you see in this image?
00:37:20There are two trees and a woman's head.
00:37:2433.
00:37:25Can you find the farmer's wife?
00:37:28Here's a hint.
00:37:28She's somewhere nearby.
00:37:32Who would have guessed you could turn the image upside down?
00:37:3634.
00:37:37The children are sure the astronomer is still in the room.
00:37:40But where can he be hiding?
00:37:44He really didn't want to be found.
00:37:4835.
00:37:49These geese are in danger.
00:37:51A predator is hiding somewhere in the picture.
00:37:55Wow.
00:37:55Almost missed it.
00:37:57How spooky.
00:37:5936.
00:38:01What's hidden in this picture?
00:38:03It's a big, toothy, scary shark.
00:38:0937.
00:38:10How many things can you see in this picture?
00:38:14It can be a beggar or it can be a face,
00:38:17depending on your perspective.
00:38:1938.
00:38:21This image is quite obvious.
00:38:23Or is it?
00:38:25Try turning it upside down.
00:38:27Then the rabbit will turn into a man with a long mustache.
00:38:3339.
00:38:34And what can you see in this picture?
00:38:37It might be a happy dog or an equally cheerful cat.
00:38:4340.
00:38:44And finally, can you read this?
00:38:47You don't say.
00:38:48Bad eyes?
00:38:51OK.
00:38:52This level was actually mind boggling.
00:38:54But I'm looking forward to learning my results.
00:38:57If your score is 0 to 25 points, work more on your observation skills
00:39:02and you'll get better.
00:39:04If you've got 26 to 50 points, you have a quick eye.
00:39:08With more practice, you'll soon become a pro.
00:39:12If you have 51 to 75 points, you're as attentive as Sherlock.
00:39:17You can spot the tiniest details without much effort.
00:39:21But if you've got 76 to 100 points, wow!
00:39:25I can't but feel a bit intimidated.
00:39:27Nothing can escape your eagle eye.
00:39:30It's better not to mess with you.
00:39:34You'll have 10 seconds for each of the optical illusions.
00:39:37Your task will be to read the hidden number.
00:39:40You'll go from the easiest to the hardest riddles.
00:39:43Start off with an easy one for warm up.
00:39:51I told you, it's 784.
00:40:00Moving on.
00:40:12I hope you were able to see the number 5346 here.
00:40:15Level up.
00:40:17How about this one?
00:40:21The correct answer is 725.
00:40:34And another one.
00:40:45Yes, it's 786.
00:40:49Now, only 5% of people can read the next three numbers.
00:40:52Want to give it a go?
00:41:04If your answer is 6012, it's correct.
00:41:08And here's another tricky one.
00:41:20It's 182.
00:41:25And if you saw it, you must have eagle vision.
00:41:28Told you it won't be easy.
00:41:30But try this one.
00:41:41The correct answer is 3708.
00:41:45Let's see how you handle some black and white illusions.
00:42:00And the first one is hiding the number 476.
00:42:04There you go.
00:42:06If that was too simple, how about this one?
00:42:16I hope you guessed it was 86347.
00:42:21And now, let's test your eyes with some hidden words.
00:42:24You still have 10 seconds for each of them.
00:42:35I'm sure you figured out it's the word never.
00:42:39Can you read what this picture says?
00:42:46Meow.
00:42:57I can't sleep.
00:42:58How sad.
00:43:00This one is hiding the name of some month.
00:43:03You have to think outside the box to read it.
00:43:05Feel free to pause the video if you need more time.
00:43:09Well, the secret was to split it in half.
00:43:12Then you can see it's July.
00:43:15How about this one?
00:43:27It's the word run hiding in the back.
00:43:30Another one for you.
00:43:38Meow.
00:43:48Hope you found the gold.
00:43:51Here comes a tricky one.
00:43:53Meow.
00:44:00Meow.
00:44:03It takes some brain power to see it's brain.
00:44:07Another one in this category.
00:44:09It's only getting more complicated.
00:44:22If you read the word music between the lines, you must be a genius.
00:44:27Now, let's see if you can decipher these secret messages.
00:44:31I give you 10 seconds for this one.
00:44:37Meow.
00:44:41Well, if someone says it's just a bunch of letters without meaning,
00:44:44you can easily prove them wrong.
00:44:47What do you see here?
00:45:00The power of imagination makes us infinite.
00:45:03Couldn't agree more.
00:45:05Here's another one.
00:45:08Meow.
00:45:16Meow.
00:45:19I hope you always desire to learn something useful.
00:45:24You deserve some dessert for all that mental activity.
00:45:27Here's just one cupcake among all those ice cream cones.
00:45:30Try to find it.
00:45:37Meow.
00:45:41There it is.
00:45:42Yum.
00:45:44Get a tomato to go.
00:45:46I can only see a bunch of apples.
00:45:48But maybe you'll be luckier here.
00:45:58Found it.
00:46:00There's a butterfly hiding somewhere among those flowers.
00:46:03Do you see it?
00:46:07Meow.
00:46:14Fantastic!
00:46:15It's right there.
00:46:18Can you find the one and only pineapple in this image?
00:46:33Great job.
00:46:35One of these colorful leaves is in fact a mushroom.
00:46:38Can you spot it?
00:46:51Well done.
00:46:53How about a safari to give your eyes another test?
00:46:56Do you see anyone hiding in these leaves?
00:46:59Meow.
00:47:04Meow.
00:47:10Meow.
00:47:11Yep, it's a chameleon.
00:47:13And those guys know how to blend with the surroundings.
00:47:16There must be a groundhog hiding somewhere in the rocks.
00:47:19Find it in 10 seconds.
00:47:31Meow.
00:47:34Wow, that was neat.
00:47:37One coyote won't do you much harm.
00:47:39But if it brings some friends, better make sure this area is coyote-free.
00:47:54Start looking for a different picnic spot.
00:47:56One of those guys is right here.
00:48:00Watch where you step.
00:48:01I hear there are snakes on the ground.
00:48:05Meow.
00:48:16Found one.
00:48:17Better be careful.
00:48:20I don't see anyone roaming in this territory.
00:48:22Let's see if you have sharper eyes.
00:48:34What a beautiful gazelle.
00:48:36Did you manage to find it?
00:48:39The next illusion was created back in 1860.
00:48:42It shows how your brain perceives depth and shapes.
00:48:45So, do you think the black line lines up with the blue one?
00:49:00If you answered yes, you're wrong.
00:49:02In fact, the black line stems from the red line.
00:49:06Now, take a look at these illusions and remember what you see first.
00:49:10It can tell a lot about your personality.
00:49:23If it looks like a mountain to you, you're a down-to-earth person.
00:49:27You're persistent, reliable, and like to plan things.
00:49:31Overcoming obstacles makes you feel really happy.
00:49:33You appreciate stability and don't like to take risks.
00:49:37If you saw the upside-down wolf first, you're a natural leader.
00:49:41You keep your emotions under control even in the most stressful situations.
00:49:45Others admire and respect you for that.
00:49:47Remember, it's okay to ask for help sometimes if you need it.
00:49:51How about this one?
00:50:01If lips caught your eye first, you're realistic and always take things the way they are.
00:50:06You don't look for hidden meaning in what happens to you and what others say to you.
00:50:10It helps you get along with people well.
00:50:12If you notice the trees first, you're an ambitious person and a perfectionist to the core.
00:50:17You're never happy with just okay and will always strive to be number one
00:50:21and make yourself and others happy.
00:50:24In the case of the first illusion,
00:50:26In the case the first thing you saw was the roots,
00:50:29you're an extremely progressive person.
00:50:32You love trying all the new technology and styles.
00:50:35You never settle and always try to make your life better and more exciting.
00:50:40Here comes the next one.
00:50:57If it looks like a parrot to you, you're the soul of any party.
00:51:01You like to be the center of attention, wear something bright, talk loudly and laugh your heart out.
00:51:06You have plenty of friends who love that about you.
00:51:10If you see a girl in a beautiful long dress, you must be the mysterious artsy type.
00:51:14You prefer to observe others being active and loud and get inspiration for your work.
00:51:19You notice little details and remember them to later put them on your canvas or paper.
00:51:26You have 10 seconds to decide what you see in this illusion here.
00:51:42If it's clearly an image of an elephant and a giraffe, you're a reliable and hardworking person.
00:51:47You feel responsible for yourself and your work and don't like to let others down.
00:51:52People appreciate you for that and share their secrets with you.
00:51:56If you saw some rabbits between the trees, you're not as simple as you might seem.
00:52:00You always think before you say or do something.
00:52:03You have a strategy for every life situation.
00:52:06It's important to you to be accepted and loved by others, so you do a lot to please them.
00:52:12New illusion, same task.
00:52:26If you see just two horses crossing a waterfall, you're an adventurous person.
00:52:30When someone offers trying something new or going to a new place, you're always up for it.
00:52:35You realize you might not like it in the end, but you'd rather try it and be sad than regret not going.
00:52:43In case you noticed several faces first, you always see the big picture and can find the right decision quickly.
00:52:49You know what you want and how to get there and never reconsider your own choices.
00:52:53These qualities will take you far in your career.
00:52:56Moving on.
00:52:57What a beautiful landscape, but is it hiding something?
00:53:12If all you see here is some sea and rocks, you're a calm and balanced person.
00:53:17Sometimes you're in a bad mood, but you always look on the bright side of life and move on.
00:53:22If you also noticed some animals drawn on the rocks, you have a great eye for detail.
00:53:27You always listen to both parties in a conflict before taking sides.
00:53:31You like doing research and drawing logical conclusions.
00:53:35Alright, what does this one say to you?
00:53:38What a beautiful landscape, but is it hiding something?
00:53:50In case you're positive it's a portrait of a young girl, you're an extrovert and can't survive a day without people.
00:53:56You're active on social media and enjoy going to social events where you can make even more friends.
00:54:02If you see some horses and birds, you're more of an introvert.
00:54:05You love being alone outside.
00:54:07You have some great friends, but you appreciate your personal space.
00:54:11Those who see the face and the horses at once, you've got the best of both worlds.
00:54:16You feel comfortable at a party with a few hundred new people around and alone reading a book.
00:54:21What can you say about this illusion?
00:54:36Those who see a face of a woman, you're realistic and pretty content with your life.
00:54:40You don't expect too much from others and are ready to stand your ground if you have to.
00:54:45If you see a saxophone player, you often prefer your imaginary world to the real one.
00:54:51In your dreams, you have turned your favorite hobby into a career.
00:54:54Try doing that in real life.
00:54:57What are your thoughts on this one?
00:55:06If it's clearly an older man to you, you've always been wiser and more reasonable than others your age.
00:55:11That's why people often ask you for advice, and you enjoy helping them out.
00:55:16If you see a young girl and an older man in the arch, you'll always be a child at heart.
00:55:22Your family means the world to you, and you always ask them for advice and protection.
00:55:36Get ready for a new set of absolutely amazing optical illusions.
00:55:41Concentrate hard and don't let them trick you.
00:55:45Look at these circles attentively, and you'll notice they're rotating.
00:55:56But that's just an illusion. The circles are completely still.
00:56:01Number 2. Which is bigger? The hat's height or its width?
00:56:13They're absolutely the same. Your eyes are playing tricks on you.
00:56:17Number 3. Which tower is leaning more?
00:56:20Ha! Look at that. They're the same.
00:56:22Even though one tower seems to be lopsided when placed next to a copy of itself,
00:56:26this is called the leaning tower illusion.
00:56:30Number 4. How many colors do you see in this image?
00:56:43However, you can't see all of them.
00:56:46However many you might see, in reality, there are only three.
00:56:51Number 5. The patterns in this picture seem to be moving.
00:57:02But once you focus on one of the ovals, the whole image becomes still.
00:57:07Number 6. What do you see in this picture? A moving star?
00:57:16Well, the star part is correct, but in reality, it's a static image.
00:57:21Once again, if you concentrate on any of its parts, the picture will stop moving.
00:57:26Number 7. It seems as if there are three cylinders in this image,
00:57:30and they're all rotating.
00:57:38But you know what to do.
00:57:40Stare at the center of the picture and all the way to the left.
00:57:43Stare at the center of the picture and all the movement will stop.
00:57:47Number 8. Which pencil is longer?
00:57:57They are of the same length.
00:58:00Number 9. Can you find three animals in this picture?
00:58:03Can you find three animals in this picture?
00:58:11Three bunnies are hiding in the tree branches.
00:58:14Number 10. Look at this rotating thingy.
00:58:25There's no doubt it's a 3D image, but in reality,
00:58:28it's just a set of rotating figures that creates such a three-dimensional effect.
00:58:33Number 11. Look at the screen and move your head forward and backward
00:58:36while focusing on the center of the image.
00:58:47When you come closer, the lines will seem to rotate counterclockwise.
00:58:51As soon as you start to move away from the image, the lines will rotate clockwise.
00:58:56Number 12. There is something hidden in this grid.
00:58:59Can you figure out what it is?
00:59:04If you can't spot it, try to shake your head, move further from the screen, or screw up your eyes.
00:59:10And just in case it hasn't helped either, let me make the grid less bright.
00:59:14Here we go. A lovely kitty.
00:59:17Number 14. Can you figure out which word is hidden here?
00:59:21That's a bedside.
00:59:24Number 15. Look at this image and say which string is tied to the banana.
00:59:39I was almost sure it was string number 2.
00:59:43Number 16. Look at this image and say which string is tied to the banana.
00:59:50But in fact, that's the third one.
00:59:53Number 16. Which word is brighter?
01:00:03If you remove the grid, it'll become obvious that both words are of the same color.
01:00:09Number 17. Each horizontal band seems to be lighter in the middle and darker near the boundaries.
01:00:21But in reality, all of them are of a uniform shade.
01:00:25Number 18. Which line is longer? A or B?
01:00:37They're both of the same length.
01:00:39This illusion is created because your mind perceives this image in 3D space.
01:00:43That's why your brain tells you that the line which is closer to you must be shorter than the more distant one.
01:00:49Number 19. Are the woman's eyes of the same color?
01:01:00In fact, they are.
01:01:02You can make sure of it by comparing the color of her eyes and the hair accessory.
01:01:06Number 20. At first sight, it's just a red fan rotating over a bright green background.
01:01:12But try to concentrate on the black dot in the middle.
01:01:15You'll notice that the green under the fan is brighter than that of the surrounding ring.
01:01:20And the fan blades are actually redder than the central disk.
01:01:23Number 21. These two disks are pulsating, changing between dark and light.
01:01:29But are they doing it at the same time?
01:01:32Keep watching, and you'll see that it depends on the background.
01:01:35When it's light, the disks pulsate in sync.
01:01:38But when one part of the background is light and the other is dark, the disks seem to pulse not simultaneously.
01:01:44Number 22. Which word is hidden in this image?
01:01:56That's the word quality.
01:01:58Number 23. Which creature has a longer mouth, yellow or green?
01:02:11Their mouths are of the same length.
01:02:13Number 24. How about this picture? Which word does it hide?
01:02:25High five if you spotted the word quite.
01:02:28Number 25. That's how a set of simple straight lines can trick your brain.
01:02:32The square made up of vertical lines looks wider and shorter than the one formed of horizontal lines.
01:02:46Number 26. Look at this pyramid made of elongated diamonds.
01:02:50Are these diamonds darker at the top or at the bottom of the pyramid?
01:02:54All diamonds are identical, even though it surely doesn't look like that.
01:02:58But once we start moving around them, this way, and comparing them with one another, it becomes obvious.
01:03:04Number 27. Find three animals hidden in this image.
01:03:08Right you are. There are three foxes over there in the tree.
01:03:12Number 28. Look at the wheel moving behind the red picket fence.
01:03:16Its spokes seem to be bent at the bottom.
01:03:23Number 29. Look at this picture. Which animal is hidden in this picture?
01:03:27The red picket fence.
01:03:29Number 30. Look at this picture. Which animal is hidden in this picture?
01:03:32The fox at the bottom.
01:03:41There's nothing wrong with the wheel, and the spokes are perfectly straight.
01:03:45Wanna make sure? Look, the fence is becoming transparent. Here you go.
01:03:50Number 29. Now, this wheel seems to be rotating clockwise, and the spokes are moving counterclockwise.
01:03:57But if you look at one of the spokes attentively, you'll notice it's actually staying in one place.
01:04:02Or rather, it makes a tiny shift forward and then returns to its place.
01:04:07Number 30. Which word is hidden in this image?
01:04:19It's feather.
01:04:21Number 31. What do you see in this picture?
01:04:32There's no definite answer here. Some people notice footprints. Others, five bowling pins.
01:04:38Number 32. How about this picture? Are those three pairs of alternating grooves and ridges?
01:04:44Or maybe you see three shiny oval tubes.
01:04:55The main trick is that the right side of the image looks like a folded surface, and the left resembles the tubes.
01:05:01Number 33. Which word do you see here?
01:05:13It's the word change.
01:05:15Number 34. Look at the blue lines. They seem to be moving in pairs.
01:05:26And how about now? They suddenly form an outline of a diamond.
01:05:31Number 35. These wooden railroad tracks seem to be different in size.
01:05:43The lower one looks larger than the one at the top, but if we switch them, it becomes obvious that they're identical in size.
01:05:50Number 36. Do these horizontal lines seem parallel to you?
01:06:01And what if I tell you they are? And what you see is just an illusion.
01:06:06Number 37. Try to figure out which line is longer here.
01:06:18If your answer is, come on, I know they're of the same length, you're absolutely right.
01:06:24Number 38. Can you see anything unusual in this picture?
01:06:31There's a dalmatian hiding here.
01:06:34Number 39. There seems to be a bulge in the middle of this checkerboard.
01:06:46But in reality, this checkerboard is regular, and each of its checks is perfectly square.
01:06:52You'll see it once we remove the tiny black and white ticks.
01:06:55Number 40. The blue horizontal stripes in this picture can't be parallel, right?
01:07:09But if we remove all the additional elements, it'll become apparent that the lines are not oblique.
01:07:15Look at the dot in the center for 10 seconds.
01:07:18Now quickly look at the ceiling and blink a few times. The colored squares have just moved there.
01:07:23What a beautiful pattern of rectangles!
01:07:26But just give it a second look, and you'll see they are, in fact, circles floating against the striped background.
01:07:32Stare at the central dot for 10 seconds, and see if you can spot a pattern of rectangles.
01:07:37Number 41. Do these horizontal lines seem parallel to you?
01:07:41And what you see is just an illusion.
01:07:44Stare at the central dot for 10 seconds, and see what happens.
01:07:57Wow, the colored circles switched places!
01:08:00In fact, they're both gray now, and your brain makes you see colors that aren't really there.
01:08:05This illusion can make your phone grow. Stare at it.
01:08:09Magic is happening, keep staring!
01:08:11Now quickly look at the back of your phone. The logo is moving.
01:08:16How many colors do you see in this image?
01:08:19If you answered three, you're a bit wrong. There are just two colors here, black and white.
01:08:24The grid creates the illusion of gray as they intersect.
01:08:27What about this one?
01:08:29There are just three colors here, red, blue, and yellow.
01:08:33The inner squares only seem different because of the grids and backgrounds.
01:08:37This grid is broken, but you can fix it right now.
01:08:40Stare at the center of the grid for 15 seconds, and see what happens.
01:08:56Told ya! It all looks in order now.
01:08:59This happens because your brain prefers to see regular patterns.
01:09:03It's spread from the center to the edges of the grid.
01:09:06This image is perfectly static. Just stare at one part of it.
01:09:10It isn't moving anymore.
01:09:12This is one example of peripheral drift illusions.
01:09:15Your brain lags a bit when it's processing areas with different light intensity,
01:09:19and makes you think the image is animated.
01:09:22Can you tell if this one is moving or static?
01:09:25I give you 10 seconds to figure it out.
01:09:36Static again.
01:09:37Contrasting colors create the illusion of motion.
01:09:41How many animals do you see here?
01:09:44There are 8 of them hiding between the lines.
01:09:47If you saw 5 or more, you have the eye of an eagle.
01:09:50Can you tell which of these two yellow lines is longer?
01:09:53It seems obvious the answer is the higher line.
01:09:56In fact, they're absolutely the same length.
01:09:59Your brain gets distracted by other elements of the image, like background lines,
01:10:04and you see the image in a distorted way.
01:10:07What about these two lines? Which one is longer?
01:10:10Again, they're the same length.
01:10:13The way circles are set makes the upper line seem longer to you.
01:10:17How many colors are mentioned here?
01:10:24If you got 7, great job! Nothing can distract you.
01:10:29Can you find the mistake here?
01:10:32The number sequence is alright, but you don't need an extra V.
01:10:37Let's go under the seat.
01:10:39Find 3 differences between these images in 10 seconds.
01:10:52Good job!
01:10:56Same task here.
01:11:02Did you spot them all?
01:11:06These images are different in 3 details.
01:11:09Can you name them?
01:11:15Fantastic!
01:11:18Oh, this looks delicious!
01:11:20Again, there are 3 differences between the images.
01:11:28Hope you found them all!
01:11:30These two images are different in 5 details.
01:11:33Try to name them in 10 seconds.
01:11:45Well done!
01:11:49Can you find 5 differences between these two?
01:12:00Well, nothing can hide from you!
01:12:05Help these kittens find 8 hidden objects.
01:12:18Meow! Thank you!
01:12:22This dog is made of many little things.
01:12:25Can you spot 13 of them?
01:12:30Amazing!
01:12:35The fall is a busy time for farmers.
01:12:38Make their life easier and find 20 hidden objects they need.
01:12:51Wow, you could be a detective!
01:12:55Did you spot all of them?
01:12:56Perfect!
01:12:59Did you find 20 objects in this image?
01:13:01Feel free to pause the video if you need more time.
01:13:12Great job!
01:13:17This time, you only have to find 12 hidden things,
01:13:20but it's trickier because of all those dots.
01:13:27You did it!
01:13:31Moving on!
01:13:33What you see in these optical illusions can tell a lot about your personality.
01:13:38What is this one to you?
01:13:40Those who clearly see the mountains covered with snow
01:13:43mostly have their feet on the ground.
01:13:45You take things the way they are,
01:13:47like to plan everything,
01:13:49and move ahead step by step.
01:13:51If you spotted the horses first,
01:13:52you like to be ahead of everyone and live at full speed.
01:13:55You're rather impatient
01:13:57and get bored of tedious work that needs a lot of attention.
01:14:00Now, what catches your eye here?
01:14:03If it's a peaceful creek in the woods,
01:14:06you always see the big picture.
01:14:08You stay calm even when everyone around you is losing it.
01:14:11You always know how to choose the right option out of many quickly.
01:14:15If it's a grumpy face to you,
01:14:18you tend to overthink things
01:14:19and see a catch in every situation and offer.
01:14:22You don't make friends easily,
01:14:24but when you do, it's forever.
01:14:27Time for the next illusion.
01:14:29Those who see a face here,
01:14:31you have a bright mind and you like to keep it busy.
01:14:34You're good at solving tasks of any difficulty,
01:14:37and you come up with the best ideas.
01:14:39Those who see a beautiful lady in a dress in this one,
01:14:42you're artists at heart.
01:14:44You take inspiration almost from anything and anywhere.
01:14:46You write, paint, sing, or create music,
01:14:49and it makes you happy.
01:14:51This one's pretty plain.
01:14:53Or is it?
01:14:55If you see an owl landing,
01:14:57you're a great team player and easy to work with.
01:15:00You don't mind sharing credit for what you've done with others.
01:15:03Sometimes you're too afraid to speak up.
01:15:05Remember, your ideas are worth it.
01:15:08If it's a girl looking in the distance to you,
01:15:11you have amazing communication skills.
01:15:13You feel comfortable even when you're alone.
01:15:16You're even in front of the crowd
01:15:18and like to share everything about your life on social media.
01:15:21How about this one?

01:15:25you love travel and explore new places.
01:15:27You aren't afraid of anything, except for boredom.

01:15:37You believe that love always wins.
01:15:39Even when someone's mean to you,
01:15:41you forgive them easily
01:15:43and try to find an explanation for what they did.
01:15:45What are your thoughts on this image?
01:15:47If it's a person standing alone on a rock to you,
01:15:50you're mostly an introvert.
01:15:52You need your alone time to bring your thoughts in order and recharge.
01:15:56You don't have many friends, but you're loyal to them.

01:16:01you often live in the world of your dreams.

01:16:18no matter what it is.
01:16:20You have a point on anything,
01:16:22and it's not easy to make you change your mind.

01:17:34Your family and friends know
01:17:36they can always ask you for help,
01:17:38and you'll solve any problem.
01:17:39In case you noticed the bear first,
01:17:41you're logical and conservative.
01:17:43You have your own values
01:17:45and you like to live by the rules.
01:17:47You're thoughtful and observant
01:17:49and aim for harmony.
01:17:51Those who paid attention to the rabbit,
01:17:53you're full of energy
01:17:55and spread joy like no other person.
01:17:57You've a great sense of humor
01:17:59and rich imagination.
01:18:01You like to share that happiness with others
01:18:03and easily become the soul of any party.
01:18:05In case the lion was the first animal you saw,
01:18:07you're a leader by nature.
01:18:09You're following the rules
01:18:11and achieving them,
01:18:13no matter how hard it gets.
01:18:15People gladly follow you
01:18:17because you're always 100% positive
01:18:19of your success.
01:18:21And if you saw an octopus,
01:18:23an optometrist is in your future
01:18:25because there's no octopus there.
01:18:27Time for an eye test.
01:18:29Eh, just joking with you.
01:18:31This fresh set of optical illusions
01:18:33will definitely challenge
01:18:35your visual perception.
01:18:37If your brain isn't happy
01:18:39be careful and get somebody to watch
01:18:41this astonishing illusionary art with you.
01:18:43Ready?
01:18:45Go full screen and let's get started.
01:18:47Take a look at this pair of circles.
01:18:57It's not an illusion.
01:18:59They're identical and they do rotate.
01:19:01But they don't actually move across the screen.
01:19:04The arrows confuse your brain
01:19:06so it seems that the circles are shrinking
01:19:07and even moving back and forth.
01:19:09If you manage to focus your gaze
01:19:11so that they stop moving,
01:19:13you're a wizard.
01:19:15What about this shining star?
01:19:17Is it static or dynamic?
01:19:28Although the star seems to be pulsing,
01:19:30its size doesn't change at all.
01:19:33But its popping color
01:19:35creates an illusion of movement.
01:19:38Let's move on to our next one.
01:19:40Check this out.
01:19:42Can you spot any movement?
01:19:52This picture is static.
01:19:54But if you take your time
01:19:56to look at these flowers carefully,
01:19:58your brain will definitely convince you
01:20:00that they're moving.
01:20:02What about this picture?
01:20:08The direction of this pattern
01:20:10makes the brain think
01:20:12that the circle is rotating to the left.
01:20:14But it's a lie.
01:20:16The same goes for this cute pattern.
01:20:27Can you see it spinning around?
01:20:30What about this picture?
01:20:32Can you spot any movement?
01:20:38Well, in this case,
01:20:40it's not surprising
01:20:42because this image is animated.
01:20:44An optical illusion
01:20:46is not always an optical illusion,
01:20:48so be careful.
01:20:50Let's take a look at the next one.
01:21:02This star seems to be dancing
01:21:04to the rhythm of the music.
01:21:05This star seems to be dancing
01:21:07because its asymmetrical shape
01:21:09confuses your brain's expectations.
01:21:11Maybe it's time to ask ourselves,
01:21:13what else is my brain
01:21:15lying to me about right now?
01:21:17What can you say
01:21:19about this beautiful pattern?
01:21:21Is it just a basic optical illusion
01:21:23or an animated video?
01:21:33That's right.
01:21:36Here's our next one.
01:21:38If you focus all your attention
01:21:40on the middle of this picture,
01:21:42it will soon begin to move.
01:21:52But in fact,
01:21:54it stays the same.
01:21:56Don't let your brain play tricks on you.
01:21:58Your perception of this image
01:22:00may change if you blink a bunch of times
01:22:02and shake your head.
01:22:03Moving on,
01:22:05take a look at this tricky pattern.
01:22:07Is this image static?
01:22:17Yes, it truly is.
01:22:19Some optical illusions
01:22:21work by fooling around with contrasts
01:22:23in our field of vision.
01:22:33These two circles
01:22:35consist of small rotating striped circles.
01:22:37They appear to change
01:22:39the direction of rotating
01:22:41thanks to how our brains
01:22:43deal with information
01:22:45immediately within our focus.
01:22:47It's different from the way
01:22:49it processes peripheral information.
01:22:51You can see it when you focus
01:22:53on one circle and then on another.
01:22:55Are you dizzy yet?
01:22:57Let's move on to the next one.
01:22:59Zigzag is a great tool
01:23:01to create a bunch of optical illusions
01:23:03where the zigzag pattern is animated.
01:23:05Is it?
01:23:15Nope, it's a static picture.
01:23:17Be careful with zigzags.
01:23:19The next optical illusion
01:23:21will make you see with your eyes closed.
01:23:23All you have to do
01:23:25is stare at this Marilyn Monroe's nose
01:23:27at the center of this portrait.
01:23:29Continue staring at the same spot
01:23:31for at least 7 seconds
01:23:33and try not to blink.
01:23:35Ready?
01:23:377, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
01:23:43Now take a look at your ceiling
01:23:45and blink a bunch of times.
01:23:47Close your eyes.
01:23:49Can you still see the portrait?
01:23:51Don't worry, it'll disappear
01:23:53in a few seconds.
01:23:55This optical illusion
01:23:57is called an afterimage.
01:23:59It appears after you've stared
01:24:01at an image for some time.
01:24:03You can pause or look
01:24:05at a white piece of paper afterwards.
01:24:07Overstimulation makes the rods
01:24:09and cones in your eyes
01:24:11lose sensitivity.
01:24:13That's why for a short period afterward
01:24:15you interpret colors
01:24:17as their paired primary color.
01:24:19Now let's take a look
01:24:21at this tricky pattern.
01:24:23Is this image static or dynamic?
01:24:25It's not an optical illusion.
01:24:27This pattern is animated.
01:24:29If you managed to guess,
01:24:31great job!
01:24:33Now let's take a look
01:24:35at this one.
01:24:37Do these spheres move
01:24:39across the screen?
01:24:50Nope, they don't.
01:24:51If you were careful enough,
01:24:53you noticed the top moving
01:24:55when you squinted
01:24:57and concentrated on the spheres.
01:24:59This optical illusion
01:25:01is static.
01:25:10But if you take your time
01:25:12and focus on the center
01:25:14of the screen,
01:25:16it will begin to rotate.
01:25:18Let's move on to our next one.
01:25:19This optical illusion
01:25:21will make you feel like a magician
01:25:23and level up your concentration skills.
01:25:25At this point,
01:25:27you probably see that the static circles
01:25:29begin to move, pop, and spin slightly.
01:25:31But which way?
01:25:41There's no right answer here.
01:25:43The largest circle
01:25:45probably spins to the left.
01:25:47But if you switch your focus
01:25:49to the center of the image,
01:25:51the same circle will begin
01:25:53to spin to the right.
01:25:55The movement will change
01:25:57depending on which layer
01:25:59of this image you're
01:26:01currently focusing on.
01:26:03Arrows inside these colorful circles
01:26:05may confuse your vision.
01:26:13Try not to look at them
01:26:15and you'll notice that the circles
01:26:17inside this illusion
01:26:19are spinning.
01:26:21It's pretty clear that
01:26:23this crazy watermelon isn't spinning.
01:26:25Isn't it?
01:26:34Nope.
01:26:36If you screw up with your eyes,
01:26:38you can verify this
01:26:40by focusing your gaze on the sphere.
01:26:42See? It doesn't move anymore.
01:26:44This figure can begin
01:26:46to move like a snake
01:26:47and begin to blink white.
01:26:57But don't let your brain fool you.
01:26:59This image is still the same.
01:27:01Are you dizzy yet?
01:27:03Let's experiment with disappearing dots.
01:27:06Focus on the central green dot.
01:27:08Try not to blink for a while.
01:27:18You will see one or more
01:27:20of the yellow dots disappearing
01:27:22and then reappearing randomly.
01:27:25Here's another illusion
01:27:27with disappearing dots.
01:27:29Thousands of people worldwide complained
01:27:31that this simple optical illusion
01:27:33had made them question reality.
01:27:35There are 12 black dots
01:27:37at the intersections of this image,
01:27:39but your brain won't let you
01:27:41see them all at once.
01:27:43Well, how many dots did you count?
01:27:48There are 12 black dots in this image,
01:27:50and it's a fact.
01:27:52But most people can't see
01:27:54all 12 dots at once.
01:27:56When you're focusing on that black dot
01:27:58in the center of your field of view,
01:28:00your visual system is automatically
01:28:02filling in what's going on around it.
01:28:04And this regular pattern of grey lines
01:28:06on a white background
01:28:08makes your brain suggest
01:28:10that there are no black dots at all.
01:28:12That's why you miss
01:28:14the intermittent black dots.
01:28:15Or they disappear and reappear
01:28:17as your eye jitters around.
01:28:20This cute animation
01:28:22is also very tricky.
01:28:24It pictures a moon
01:28:26and six stars surrounding it.
01:28:28There's also a dotted circular layer
01:28:30moving in the background.
01:28:32Try not to move your head at all.
01:28:34If you manage to focus your eyes
01:28:36on the moon and stay perfectly still,
01:28:38you'll soon notice
01:28:40that the stars begin to disappear.
01:28:42How many of them did you make disappear?
01:28:44There's no one correct answer here.
01:28:46The number of disappeared stars
01:28:48depends on your perception.
01:28:50This tricky wheel
01:28:52can make your brain think
01:28:54that it rotates,
01:28:56but it's a lie.
01:28:58You may notice that the wheel
01:29:00changes the direction
01:29:02when you tilt your head
01:29:04to the right or to the left.
01:29:06This trick will make your hands melt
01:29:08like water.
01:29:10Don't worry, it's not forever.
01:29:12Keep staring at the center
01:29:14of the screen for 30 seconds.
01:29:16Try not to move your head
01:29:18and try not to move your eyes.
01:29:20This trick will make your hands melt
01:29:22like water.
01:29:24Don't worry, it's not forever.
01:29:25Keep staring at the center
01:29:27of the screen for 30 seconds.
01:29:29Try not to blink.
01:29:56Now, take a look at your hands.
01:29:58Are they melting?
01:30:00You can also look at some text
01:30:02and notice that your vision is wavy.
01:30:04Take a look at this
01:30:06tricky optical illusion.
01:30:08What can you say about this wheel?
01:30:10Is it static or dynamic?
01:30:20It's static.
01:30:22Your brain plays tricks on you.
01:30:23Now, let's give your eyes
01:30:25a little break by changing the task.
01:30:27Can you spot an odd monkey out?
01:30:38Here it is.
01:30:40Can you find a different monster out?
01:30:51This guy in the right
01:30:53corner doesn't look as happy
01:30:55as the others.
01:30:57There are many zeros in here.
01:30:59Can you also see another
01:31:01hidden number?
01:31:10Here it is.
01:31:12Does this pattern consist
01:31:14of red apples only?
01:31:23Nope.
01:31:25Here's one tomato.
01:31:27Can you find two similar emojis
01:31:29among this variety?
01:31:39Here they are.
01:31:41What about this set of emojis?
01:31:43Can you see two identical emojis?
01:31:54Here they are.
01:31:56Take a look at these emojis.
01:31:58Are they all different?
01:32:08Nope.
01:32:10These two emojis are similar.
01:32:12How many emojis can you find
01:32:14among this variety?
01:32:24There are three.
01:32:26What about this collection?
01:32:28Can you spot any identical
01:32:30emojis here?
01:32:39This task is tricky.
01:32:41All these emojis are different.
01:32:43If you managed to crack our trick,
01:32:45good job!
01:32:47Take a look at this set.
01:32:49Can you find a pair
01:32:51of identical emojis?
01:32:54Nope.
01:32:56It's impossible
01:32:58because these two are similar.
01:33:00Does this cat crowd
01:33:02have any odd details?
01:33:10This guy over here
01:33:12is not a cat.
01:33:14It's a rabbit.
01:33:16Can you find a four-leaf clover
01:33:18in here?
01:33:24Here it is.
01:33:26Lucky you!
01:33:29Wow!
01:33:31You'll have five seconds
01:33:33for each of the illusions.
01:33:35Get ready for your mind to be bent.
01:33:37Can you tell
01:33:39which of the two yellow lines
01:33:41is longer?
01:33:43Seems obvious to me.
01:33:46Oh, wow!
01:33:48I was wrong.
01:33:50None of them is longer.
01:33:51They are exactly the same length.
01:33:53This is a Ponzo illusion,
01:33:55not a Ponzi scheme.
01:33:57Your brain judges an object's size
01:33:59based on its background.
01:34:01Here, your brain decides
01:34:03the upper line that's further away
01:34:05has to be longer to catch up
01:34:07with the line that's closer.
01:34:09Here's another one for you.
01:34:11Do you think these lines
01:34:13are parallel to each other?
01:34:15Yep, they perfectly are.
01:34:17Again, your brain judges them
01:34:19based on their surroundings.
01:34:21The intersecting lines
01:34:23make you believe
01:34:25the longer lines are messed up.
01:34:27What about the red lines
01:34:29in this image?
01:34:31Are they straight or curved?
01:34:34This is the Herring illusion.
01:34:36The seemingly curved lines
01:34:38are perfectly straight
01:34:40and parallel to each other.
01:34:42The background
01:34:44makes you think otherwise.
01:34:46How many colors can you see here?
01:34:48Did you get red,
01:34:50purple, and green?
01:34:52In that case, you're all wrong.
01:34:54If you zoom in on this illustration,
01:34:56you can see all the spheres
01:34:58are of the same color.
01:35:00The stripes in the foreground
01:35:02make you believe the spheres
01:35:04are of different colors too.
01:35:06If you remove that foreground
01:35:08from the image,
01:35:10you'll see all the spheres are beige.
01:35:12Welcome to AIM's room.
01:35:14Nothing is impossible here.
01:35:16An AIM's room
01:35:18only seems to be
01:35:20a normal rectangular construction.
01:35:22It has slanted walls
01:35:24and an inclining ceiling and floor.
01:35:26The right corner
01:35:28is closer to you
01:35:30than the left corner.
01:35:32Your brain is used to rectangular rooms,
01:35:34so it corrects the image for you.
01:35:36The room seems normal
01:35:38and the people inside seem weird.
01:35:40How many prongs
01:35:42do you think this trident has?
01:35:43The correct number is 3.
01:35:45Nah, just kidding.
01:35:47That would be too obvious.
01:35:49The empty space between the prisms
01:35:51forms the central prong.
01:35:53Take a closer look
01:35:55at the top of the prongs.
01:35:57There are just two openings.
01:35:59Can you tell what animal
01:36:01is hiding here?
01:36:03The secret here
01:36:05is to shake your head
01:36:07back and forth,
01:36:09or you can zoom out on the image.
01:36:11When you see the tiny version
01:36:13of it, it's obvious
01:36:15there's a cat hiding behind
01:36:17all those lines.
01:36:19Now, focus on one point of this image
01:36:21for at least 15 seconds.
01:36:23Don't think of anything else,
01:36:25just keep looking.
01:36:27Can you see the image disappearing?
01:36:41It happens
01:36:43to filter information.
01:36:45They decide what's essential
01:36:47and what's useless.
01:36:49When you focus on one point,
01:36:51your brain receives
01:36:53no new information.
01:36:55Your peripheral vision
01:36:57takes new data from
01:36:59the surrounding white background
01:37:01and adapts the graphic to it.
01:37:03Here's the next illusion for you.
01:37:05Can you tell if the circles
01:37:07are moving or standing still?
01:37:09This image isn't animated.
01:37:11It's an example of a
01:37:13group of standing still images
01:37:15as moving ones.
01:37:17When you stare at one part of the image
01:37:19without blinking,
01:37:21that part stops moving.
01:37:23Can you count all the black dots
01:37:25in this image?
01:37:293, 4, 6?
01:37:31There are 12 of them,
01:37:33but you can't see them all at once.
01:37:35That's because your peripheral vision
01:37:37fails you at tasks like this.
01:37:39What do you see in this image?
01:37:44If you're sure there are some lines
01:37:46and a light blue circle in the middle,
01:37:48you're wrong.
01:37:50The background is entirely white.
01:37:52You see the non-existent light blue circle
01:37:54because your brain adds color
01:37:56into the bare negative spaces.
01:37:58What about this one?
01:38:00What colors are these funky shapes?
01:38:06Just like in the previous illusion,
01:38:08they're all empty and white.
01:38:10That's a watercolor illusion.
01:38:11Your brain fills in the shape
01:38:13that has a bright line
01:38:15and a darker line at its borders
01:38:17with a brighter color.
01:38:19Now, can you tell if this image is 3D?
01:38:25It's perfectly flat.
01:38:27The white shade in the middle
01:38:29creates the bulge effect.
01:38:31If you move closer,
01:38:33you'll notice it's spread its luminance.
01:38:35The task here is simple.
01:38:37Follow this spiral from the beginning
01:38:39to the end.
01:38:42Gotcha!
01:38:44You can't do it
01:38:46because this spiral isn't a spiral.
01:38:48It's made up of concentric circles.
01:38:50Your brain fills in the gaps for you
01:38:52because it's confused by this crazy background.
01:38:54Can you tell which rectangles are darker?
01:39:01Believe it or not,
01:39:03the rectangles under columns A and B
01:39:05are the exact same color.
01:39:07The surrounding black and white bars
01:39:09make you believe column A is way darker.
01:39:11Can you find the right shadow
01:39:13for this fun couple?
01:39:19No, it's this one.
01:39:21Only one of the locks is unlocked.
01:39:23Can you spot it in 5 seconds?
01:39:30Good job!
01:39:32This drawing is missing one piece.
01:39:34Pick the right one
01:39:36out of the three possible options.
01:39:42Well done!
01:39:44There's a little mouse
01:39:46hiding somewhere between the mushrooms.
01:39:48Your task is to find it.
01:39:54There it is!
01:39:56Cute little thing.
01:39:58One of these jellyfish can't swim
01:40:00because it's an air balloon.
01:40:02Can you see it?
01:40:07Well, it does look a lot like a jellyfish.
01:40:10What's that chirping?
01:40:12All birds but one are having a chat.
01:40:14One of them doesn't speak their language.
01:40:21It's a snail right here.
01:40:23I'd love to have some coffee.
01:40:25Please help me find it.
01:40:32Yay, it was hiding here all the time.
01:40:35All penguins look alike,
01:40:37but one is more special than the others.
01:40:39Can you spot it?
01:40:45This little guy right here
01:40:47has slightly different eyes.
01:40:49Let's take it one level up.
01:40:51Can you find the odd one out here?
01:40:58You could be a detective
01:41:00with your sharp eyes.
01:41:02One of these plants is slightly different
01:41:04from the others.
01:41:06You have 5 seconds to find it.
01:41:10Here it is!
01:41:12All these moons must produce a lot of light.
01:41:15Pick the odd one out.
01:41:21I knew it!
01:41:23How about a little safari?
01:41:26The zebra on the right is different
01:41:28from its pal on the left in 5 ways.
01:41:30Can you name them all?
01:41:36I only found 3 differences.
01:41:39Oh, now I see.
01:41:41How about these lions?
01:41:48Again, there are 5 not-so-obvious
01:41:50differences between them.
01:41:52Did you get them all?
01:41:54What about these antelopes?
01:42:00Oh, I didn't see the red nose.
01:42:03What a beautiful and peaceful landscape!
01:42:06It's different from the one on the left
01:42:07in 5 ways.
01:42:09Name them all.
01:42:15Well done!
01:42:17Here are 2 scenes
01:42:19from a busy city life for you.
01:42:21The task remains the same.
01:42:26I only managed to find
01:42:283 differences here.
01:42:30Let's go see some waterfalls.
01:42:32Something is wrong
01:42:34with the second image.
01:42:38I got it!
01:42:40What about you?
01:42:42The fall is my favorite season.
01:42:44Can you notice 5 ways
01:42:46these pictures don't match?
01:42:52Fantastic!
01:42:54It's beach time,
01:42:56but you can't relax
01:42:58until you find 5 differences here.
01:43:04Wow, enjoy your well-deserved rest!
01:43:07Alright, enough!
01:43:09Moving on!
01:43:11What you see in the next images
01:43:13can tell a lot about your personality.
01:43:15Let's start with this one.
01:43:20If it's a woman reading a book to you,
01:43:22you're a practical and goal-oriented person.
01:43:24You work a lot.
01:43:26You're great at planning
01:43:28and know how to keep your emotions under control.
01:43:30Those who notice Salvador Dali's face,
01:43:32first of all,
01:43:34are artists at heart.
01:43:35If it doesn't have to do with creativity,
01:43:37you find your own ways
01:43:39to express yourself
01:43:41through drawing, writing, or music.
01:43:43If you noticed an armchair first,
01:43:45you never look for easy
01:43:47and obvious solutions in your life.
01:43:49You always surprise everyone else
01:43:51with your unique vision of the world.
01:43:53How about this one?
01:43:55What do you see here?
01:43:59If they're women with umbrellas to you,
01:44:01you've plenty of friends
01:44:03because you're open-minded
01:44:05and friendly.
01:44:07You enjoy spending time
01:44:09surrounded by others
01:44:11and share everything with them.
01:44:13If it's a sad man's face to you,
01:44:15you're wise beyond your years.
01:44:17Sometimes you need to stop
01:44:19and think about life.
01:44:21At these moments,
01:44:23you prefer to be alone.
01:44:25You don't have that many friends,
01:44:27but you're loyal
01:44:29and always ready to help them.
01:44:31All right,
01:44:33what can you say about this image?
01:44:35Be smart and careful
01:44:37with what you do and what you say.
01:44:39You always think twice
01:44:41before making an important decision
01:44:43and rarely regret anything you've done.
01:44:45If you see a face here,
01:44:47you're more emotional than rational.
01:44:49You'll always pick a new and unknown path
01:44:51and never think for too long
01:44:53when you have to make a decision.
01:44:55It's easy to make you cry or smile,
01:44:57but you get over things quickly as well.
01:44:59Here's another illusion for you.
01:45:05If it looks like a couple of
01:45:07playful squirrels to you,
01:45:09you must be a natural explorer.
01:45:11You don't feel happy staying in one place
01:45:13and are always the first to try new things
01:45:15and visit new places.
01:45:17You're active, charismatic,
01:45:19and fun to be around.
01:45:21If you clearly see a woman's face here,
01:45:23you prefer to stick to the plan
01:45:25and don't like surprises.
01:45:27You're a natural leader
01:45:29and great at delegating tasks to others.
01:45:31They respect you and follow your lead.
01:45:33What about this one?
01:45:36If it looks like a lifeless,
01:45:38forested area to you,
01:45:40you're most likely better at sciences
01:45:42than at arts.
01:45:44You can fix any gadget
01:45:46or at least carefully follow
01:45:48the instructions to one of those.
01:45:50Your mind is a well-organized chamber.
01:45:52If you instantly saw animals here,
01:45:54you must be into arts and creativity.
01:45:56You don't even know manuals exist.
01:45:58You like to live in the moment
01:46:00and always listen to your heart.
01:46:02You'll have 5 seconds
01:46:03for each.
01:46:05Let's go!
01:46:07What comes to your mind
01:46:09when you look at this picture?
01:46:17If you noticed one big tiger first,
01:46:19you're pretty happy with your life right now
01:46:21and wake up with a smile.
01:46:23You like your job
01:46:25and have some great friends
01:46:27and a loving family.
01:46:29You don't want to change anything
01:46:31and just enjoy every day.
01:46:33You like the landscape with a tree
01:46:35and a little tiger first.
01:46:37You've had some problems in the past
01:46:39that you've managed to solve,
01:46:41but now you're cautious about everything
01:46:43and can't let yourself run around carefree.
01:46:46How about this one?
01:46:56If you saw a beautiful golden landscape
01:46:58with some waterfalls,
01:47:00you probably feel a bit bored at the moment.
01:47:01Everything seems to be fine,
01:47:03but you're missing some bright emotions
01:47:05and adventures.
01:47:07Start with the little things,
01:47:09cook a new meal,
01:47:11or buy some clothes you'd never wear before.
01:47:13If you saw a young girl here first,
01:47:15looks like you've been a bit overwhelmed lately.
01:47:17You're trying to be one step ahead
01:47:19of everyone else at work
01:47:21with your hobbies and personal life.
01:47:23It's okay to give yourself a break
01:47:25and just live your life
01:47:27at your own pace sometimes.
01:47:29In case the animals hiding in the landscape
01:47:31catch your eye,
01:47:33you're pretty happy with everything in your life,
01:47:35but your mind often wanders somewhere else.
01:47:37You run different scenarios in your head
01:47:39of you living a different life
01:47:41that could be even better.
01:47:43Try doing one of the things
01:47:45you've been dreaming about for so long.
01:47:47Moving on,
01:47:49what does this one look like to you?
01:47:58If it's definitely a guitar,
01:47:59you're someone who likes to have a good laugh.
01:48:01Your positive energy
01:48:03spreads onto others easily.
01:48:05That's why you're the heart of any party.
01:48:07You mix with new people well
01:48:09and have like a billion friends.
01:48:11If you're positive it's a landscape
01:48:13with trees reflected in the water,
01:48:15you feel cautious
01:48:17about letting new people too close to you.
01:48:19You might seem reserved at first,
01:48:21but when you're ready to accept
01:48:23those new people into your life,
01:48:25you build strong bonds
01:48:27and will never let them down.
01:48:29How about this one?
01:48:39Those who see a huge yellow-eyed fish here
01:48:42respect the rules
01:48:44and feel uncomfortable breaking any of them.
01:48:46You prefer to stay out of trouble,
01:48:48so you'd never try anything unconventional.
01:48:51You follow the majority,
01:48:53and if something goes wrong,
01:48:55you're relieved to share the fault
01:48:57with everyone else.
01:48:59Those who see a huge sheep in this image,
01:49:01you never follow the crowd
01:49:03even if it's going the right way.
01:49:05You're a rebel at heart
01:49:07and you believe rules are meant to be broken.
01:49:09You like to take a chance
01:49:11and often win.
01:49:13Next, is this one all plain to you,
01:49:15or do you see the double meaning?
01:49:26Those who see a bunch of sheep
01:49:27and a wolf here
01:49:29adapt to changes in life easily.
01:49:31You accept the fact
01:49:33that nothing lasts forever
01:49:35and always look on the bright side
01:49:37to find the positive in everything.
01:49:39This helps you move on
01:49:41and save your energy
01:49:43for more important things than worries.
01:49:45Those who see a big wolf
01:49:47and a little wolf
01:49:49find it uneasy letting go of people,
01:49:51places, and situations.
01:49:53You don't like change,
01:49:55it confuses you.
01:49:57You know they are
01:49:59because you're used to them.
01:50:01Sometimes you just have to let things
01:50:03go their own way.
01:50:05It'll save you a lot of nerves.
01:50:07How about this one?
01:50:16If you see a polar bear here,
01:50:18you're an emotionally stable person.
01:50:20You know you can't plan everything in life,
01:50:22so you accept its surprises
01:50:24and find joy in them.
01:50:25You know you won't make fun memories
01:50:27if you stay on a perfectly smooth road.
01:50:30If you clearly see a hand in this image,
01:50:32you love to plan everything in your life.
01:50:35You can't stand it
01:50:37when something doesn't go as you expected it to.
01:50:39You always think of all the possible outcomes
01:50:41before taking even the smallest decision,
01:50:43like what to buy for dinner.
01:50:45Try being more spontaneous.
01:50:47You might like it.
01:50:49Now, taking it one level up,
01:50:51can you see the hidden meaning here?
01:50:54If this one looks like a lake
01:50:56and some swans to you,
01:50:58you're a realist
01:51:00who's mostly in a good mood.
01:51:02You don't expect too much
01:51:04from anything or anyone.
01:51:06You're kind and forgiving
01:51:08and can explain and accept
01:51:10any behavior.
01:51:12It helps you protect yourself
01:51:14from disappointments.
01:51:16If you saw a band playing in the mountains,
01:51:18you're more comfortable
01:51:20in the world around you.
01:51:21You have your vision
01:51:23of how things should work out,
01:51:25and you feel sad
01:51:27when other people aren't as brave,
01:51:29nice, and caring
01:51:31as you expect them to.
01:51:33Try taking it easier on them.
01:51:35How about this one?
01:51:46If the first thing you saw here was a vase,
01:51:48you don't like to stay in the spotlight
01:51:49You're a talented and creative person,
01:51:51but you're a bit shy
01:51:53and don't like it
01:51:55when other people are staring at you.
01:51:57That's why you prefer
01:51:59to express yourself
01:52:01through writing, drawing,
01:52:03or similar arts
01:52:05that don't take you directly on stage.
01:52:07If you clearly saw two profiles in this one,
01:52:09you love attention so much
01:52:11you make a little show out of everything.
01:52:13You can make a loud joke
01:52:15or start singing
01:52:17as you go grocery shopping.
01:52:19And the only way to let it all out
01:52:21is to get on stage
01:52:23and get all the eyes looking at you.
01:52:26This one looks pretty abstract.
01:52:28What do you think about it?
01:52:38Those who are sure it's an old man
01:52:40are really good at saving money.
01:52:42You plan your budget
01:52:44and never buy things you didn't plan to.
01:52:46You know your priorities well,
01:52:48and you don't feel like
01:52:50you're depriving yourself of anything.
01:52:52Saving makes you happy.
01:52:54Those who spotted a horse in this image
01:52:56are trying to stick to a budget,
01:52:58but it doesn't always work out.
01:53:00You could be saving for a new car
01:53:02for a couple of months
01:53:04and then spend it all
01:53:06on the shoes of your dreams.
01:53:08What really matters
01:53:10is that it makes you happy,
01:53:12so don't worry too much about it.
01:53:14Moving on,
01:53:15let's take a look.
01:53:22If you saw an old man's profile here first,
01:53:25you believe that you can achieve
01:53:27anything in life if you give it your all.
01:53:29You're patient and stubborn
01:53:31in a good way.
01:53:33You set goals and fulfill them
01:53:35one by one on the way to your dream.
01:53:37You prefer to call it plans,
01:53:39not dreams.
01:53:41If you saw a man on a horse,
01:53:43a river, and a figure on the ground,
01:53:45you're passionate.
01:53:47You think lots of things
01:53:49are just meant to be.
01:53:51You aren't lazy or anything,
01:53:53but you're sure sometimes success
01:53:55is just a matter of luck.
01:53:57When you have an uneasy choice to make,
01:53:59you prefer to wait it out
01:54:01and let the problem solve itself.
01:54:03Next, please.
01:54:05This one feels so cold.
01:54:07What do you see here?
01:54:16Comfort is your priority.
01:54:18Your home means the world to you,
01:54:20and you don't like to move
01:54:22from place to place.
01:54:24You can't focus on anything
01:54:26or get details done in a mess.
01:54:28You're ready to spend money and effort
01:54:30on nice little details.
01:54:32In case you saw a huge face first,
01:54:34and no, it's not me,
01:54:36you prefer to invest in memories
01:54:38and emotions.
01:54:40You'd love to sleep under the stars
01:54:42as long as it takes you to a new place
01:54:43You don't buy too many things
01:54:45because they make moving problematic.
01:54:47All you really need
01:54:49fits in one backpack,
01:54:51and you're happy it's so.
01:54:53What comes to your mind
01:54:55when you look at this image?
01:55:03If it's definitely a zebra to you,
01:55:05you enjoy arranging surprises
01:55:07for your loved ones.
01:55:09You prefer giving to receiving,
01:55:11and you'd go to the end of the world
01:55:13to make your family and friends happy.
01:55:15Their happiness is the best feedback to you.
01:55:18If you see some trees here,
01:55:20looks like you prefer getting gifts
01:55:22to giving them to others.
01:55:24You never show it even if you aren't
01:55:26100% happy with a gift,
01:55:28and it makes people feel like
01:55:30they know you so well,
01:55:32and they made your day.
01:55:34So you're doing a good thing your way.
01:55:36You know, scientists claim
01:55:38that the way your brain perceives
01:55:40and analyzes information
01:55:41can reveal a lot about your personality.
01:55:44Look at each of these optical illusions
01:55:46for a couple of seconds.
01:55:48What you see first
01:55:50can say a lot about who you are.
01:55:53If the first thing you saw was a tree,
01:55:56you tend to pay too much attention
01:55:58to details,
01:56:00but you're great at feeling
01:56:02the mood of other people.
01:56:04It makes you a tactful
01:56:06and empathetic person.
01:56:08And if you spotted a couple
01:56:09you're logical, calm, and rational.
01:56:11You know how to reason with people
01:56:13even when they're upset or nervous.
01:56:152.
01:56:17If you saw a car in this picture,
01:56:19you treasure your freedom.
01:56:21You like it when things go
01:56:23according to your plan.
01:56:25That's why it's often hard
01:56:27for you to make fast decisions.
01:56:29If you thought it was a man
01:56:31holding binoculars,

02:01:01and relax in nature.
02:01:0313.

02:02:43coming from other people.
02:02:45It doesn't mean you don't
02:02:47have your own opinion,
02:02:49but you're always ready
02:02:51to find a middle ground.
02:02:5318.
02:02:55If you paid attention
02:02:57to a lady's face first,
02:02:59your brain's right hemisphere

02:03:27So don't forget to relax
02:03:29and enjoy life.

02:04:35you're great at analyzing things.
02:04:37Your logical thinking
02:04:39about what hit you at first
02:04:41was a duck,
02:04:43your talents are more
02:04:45on the creative side of things.
02:04:4723.
02:04:49Most people spot a frog
02:04:51in this image right away.

02:04:55you're self-confident
02:04:57and thus relaxed.

02:05:09the attention of others.
02:05:1124.
02:05:13If it was a candlestick
02:05:15that attracted your attention first,
02:05:17you usually see a situation
02:05:19as a whole.
02:05:21Only after figuring out
02:05:23the big picture,
02:05:25you spring into action.
02:05:27And if you notice two faces first,
02:05:29you have the ability
02:05:31to concentrate on details.
02:05:33It's extremely important
02:05:35for you to surround yourself
02:05:37with positive people
02:05:39who can help you
02:05:41to get the attention of others.
02:05:4325.
02:05:45Most people are sure
02:05:47they're looking at a 3D sphere
02:05:49on a patterned monochrome background.
02:05:51And if you're one of them,
02:05:53you're self-confident
02:05:55and thus relaxed.
02:05:5726.
02:05:59Most people are sure
02:06:01they're looking at a 3D sphere
02:06:03on a patterned monochrome background.
02:06:05And if you're one of them,
02:06:07you're self-confident
02:06:09and thus relaxed.
02:06:1127.
02:06:13Most people are sure
02:06:15they're looking at a 3D sphere
02:06:17on a patterned monochrome background.
02:06:19And if you're one of them,
02:06:21you're self-confident
02:06:23and thus relaxed.
02:06:2528.
02:06:27Most people are sure
02:06:29they're looking at a 3D sphere
02:06:31on a patterned monochrome background.
02:06:3328.
02:06:35Most people are sure
02:06:37they're looking at a 3D sphere
02:06:39But no, this effect occurs thanks to the different thickness and position of the stripes.
02:06:46Now, look at this picture.
02:06:49Don't take your eyes off of it even for a moment.
02:06:52See, the circles are moving.
02:07:03It's a popular motion illusion.
02:07:05One of the coolest things about it is that it grinds to a halt if you look at only one
02:07:08part of the image.
02:07:10Try it out.
02:07:11And if you start looking around, it begins to move again.
02:07:13Is it magic?
02:07:16These circles might look simple and unassuming at first.
02:07:19But try moving your head back and forth while keeping your focus on the dot in the center
02:07:23of the image.
02:07:24Do you see that the circles formed by the rhombi start to rotate?
02:07:37When you're tilting your head towards the screen, they move in one direction.
02:07:41When you get farther from the image, they move in the opposite direction.
02:07:45And isn't that cool?
02:07:47How about something even more baffling?
02:07:50Look at this image.
02:07:51This grating is moving vertically, right?
02:07:54Not really.
02:07:55It's moving diagonally.
02:08:05This illusion occurs when a diagonally striped pole rotates horizontally around its vertical
02:08:09axis.
02:08:10To the viewer, it appears as though the stripes are moving downward rather than around the
02:08:14pole.
02:08:15Why so?
02:08:16Because you see the pole through a vertical window, which provides you with very little
02:08:20information about what's actually happening to it.
02:08:24Look at this beauty.
02:08:26Doesn't this kinetic illusion make you feel as if the image is both streaming, shimmering,
02:08:30and moving all at the same time?
02:08:42But the picture is actually a bunch of lines of the same color coming from the common center.
02:08:48The next illusion you're going to see is beautiful.
02:08:51The longer you look at the picture, the less static it seems.
02:08:54The image appears to be rotating even though it's actually not moving, not even a bit.
02:09:08This illusion occurs as a result of your eyes reacting to the size variations of the circles
02:09:13and interacting color contrasts.
02:09:16Wow, isn't this image bright and pretty?
02:09:20But don't stare at it for too long.
02:09:22It can give you a slight headache and make your eyes hurt.
02:09:25Anyway, now that I've warned you, doesn't it seem to you that all these rings are rotating
02:09:29in opposite directions?
02:09:40I know this effect is extremely strong, but I promise it's not an animated GIF.
02:09:44It's a perfectly still image.
02:09:46But the design and colors make it look as if the rings are moving.
02:09:52Hey, look at this 3D purple landscape.
02:09:55Isn't it charming?
02:09:56The only problem is that, I bet you've already guessed, this is not a 3D image.
02:10:11It's the unusual bright pattern that creates this illusion.
02:10:15Here's another 3D illusion.
02:10:18This time, it's a checkerboard that seems to be bulging.
02:10:21Look at it attentively.
02:10:23The squares are perfectly straight.
02:10:25Their borderlines are parallel and perpendicular.
02:10:27But your brain insists this image is domed.
02:10:40The explanation is connected with the dots.
02:10:42They don't actually touch the borders of the squares.
02:10:45There's always a narrow margin, but your brain interprets those margins like lines,
02:10:50which messes up with your perception.
02:10:52And instead of the right angles, some of them seem acute while others appear obtuse.
02:10:58In this image, all of the edges are either vertical, horizontal, or at a 45-degree angle.
02:11:04But does it seem this way to you?
02:11:06I bet your answer is no.
02:11:17And there's one more thing you can do with this image to make it even cooler.
02:11:21Pause this video so that the image is static and move your scroll bar up and down.
02:11:26It'll appear that the illusion also has some element of motion to it.
02:11:31Awesome!
02:11:32Now, how about we try to figure out what makes it possible for optical illusions to trick
02:11:36our mind?
02:11:37I mean, you know 100% that what your eyes are telling your brain is wrong.
02:11:42But you just can't make yourself stop seeing it.
02:11:46Scientists are sure that sometimes our brain may unconsciously bend our perception of the
02:11:50world to meet our expectations.
02:11:53It fills in the gaps using your past experiences.
02:11:56In other words, it's not your eyes that play tricks on you.
02:11:59It's the way your brain interprets the image sent by the eyes.
02:12:04As an expert said, an optical illusion is a mismatch between the visual impression of
02:12:08the actual properties of the object.
02:12:11Anyway, my favorite illusion is the one with bright rotating circles.
02:12:16What about you?
