00:00Yes, of course. Look, I'm super happy. As one always says, every time a new project is born, it's the same as when your first child is born and you give him the same love. He's super excited.
00:19And this case is the same as the previous ones. I'm more than happy. I've been working on this album for about a year and a half. I've been releasing different singles little by little.
00:36But as a final product, I have 11 songs, half of which are features. 2.0 is born from following this format that I started in the previous album called Friends and Legends.
01:02Where I am uniting the legend of bachata with the new blood that is growing within the genre of bachata.
01:11In addition, I am adding something that I have titled Bachaleros, which is a mix of bachata and bolero. I have also seen that they have called it urban bolero.
01:31So it's something very interesting, a mixture of different sounds. The collaborations with my brothers from Aventura, Frank Reyes, Kiko Rodriguez, Urbanda, Pavel Núñez, Efrem J, Paola Fabré and J-Fab.
01:51Each of these songs was born organically. It was born out of mutual respect. It was born out of good vibes. So there is the result.
02:08You have to listen to this album 2.0. I am sure you will find a song with which you will connect. There are several themes, there are several artists, there are several examples of different bachatas, both modern and traditional.
02:26As well as very romantic songs. I don't know, I know they are going to connect in one way or another and I hope that in the same way you listen to it from beginning to end and that it stays in your life.
02:39When I started to get interested in music in the Dominican Republic at around 8 years old, the first thing that interested me was merengue and salsa.
02:53Bachata was not yet at its peak, but until 1993, when I moved from the Dominican Republic to New York.
03:10And I remember that my father had a cassette of Anthony Santos. And we would travel to Brooklyn, from the Bronx to Brooklyn, and from Brooklyn back to the Bronx, which lasted about an hour and fifteen.
03:32And the only music that was heard in that car was Anthony Santos, that cassette, La Batalla. Since then, I remember that I began to be 100% interested in bachata.
03:50It reached my heart. El Baile del Perrito was a merengue within that production that I remember was my favorite. I don't know, it was merengue, but it was bachata.
04:04And then the feeling of Maestro Anthony Santos came in the other bachatas of that album, and I began to be 100% interested. And that's when I met my cousin Romeo for the first time, Anthony.
04:18And it turns out that he also had a love for Anthony Santos and bachata. And together we began to look for different bachateros. It became for us like collecting stamps.
04:36I don't know if it's the feeling of wanting to know more and looking for more. And little by little we expanded within this world of bachata, and we were enveloped as if we were a spider web.
04:56Wherever we saw it, it was bachata. So from the age of 13 onwards, obviously, I forgot about merengue, I forgot about salsa, and we went 100% to bachata.
05:10Correct. Look, this is a very special occasion for fans of Aventura, for my fans of Henry Santos in general, because everything came at the perfect time.
05:23I mean, the main idea, I was working on this album, I was already working on my singles, and I made an approach to my brothers from Aventura, because obviously, if I'm making friends and legends, what better than having my brothers from Aventura on this album.
05:44When I made the approach, it turns out that my cousin had already finished his tour last year. We were always aware that we had to continue or finish the tour that, unfortunately, the pandemic had cut in half in 2020.
06:02We had to go to Central and South America, and we couldn't do it on that occasion. So when I made the approach to my cousin, we were exchanging ideas about different songs, and it occurred to him to talk about this song, Brindo con Agua.
06:24Brindo con Agua, by the way, is the first time I'm going to say it, that song was written 29 years ago. That song was the first song that I composed, I think at the age of 14 or 15, where I had forgotten that song.
06:50But my cousin was so struck by it that he told me, let me produce this song, because I have a vision of how it would sound, how it should look, let me produce it. And I told him, let's do it.
07:08When he started working with the guys, he also had the idea, why not finish now, if it suits you, the tour that we had paused in 2020.
07:28And I said, well, I have an agenda that I had more or less thought about, but this, obviously, I would be super happy to do it, and I know that the fans will be fascinated by this combination.
07:42So, if you realize, everything was falling little by little, and this idea started from January onwards. It was not that we had something planned since last year, for example, this was something that has always happened in Aventura, organically.
08:00The song Brindo con Agua is the song that is now representing this tour. And every time we get together, it's magic, it's something epic, it's something that flows organically, and in the end, the most funny are the fans.
08:21That it is an end to an end, I consider that it should not close in this way, and with Aventura you never know.
08:36With Aventura you never know. The fact is that if there is a cycle, we are working on different projects, we are always going to support each other, we are always going to think about our fans.
08:51I can't promise anything to anyone, but obviously, all things in Aventura are always like this. As I told you, at the beginning of the year, I did not think I would be doing this tour. I'm talking about some five months ago, and look where we are and look how far we are going. So, that's the beauty of Aventura, which is literally an adventure.
09:18To finish, I want you to send a message to the readers of Pipro en Español, that you invite them to listen to your 2.0 and that you tell them everything you want about this great job you have done, because it is a great job.
