00:10What are we hoping for?
00:15Life is what we're hoping for.
00:17Every human person hopes for life.
00:21Everybody wants to have a good life.
00:24Everybody is hoping for life.
00:28The question is, how do we find life?
00:31What is life?
00:34How do we find life?
00:37Faith is the substance of things we hope for, and the evidence of things not seen.
00:45So faith is the substance of things we hope for.
00:48So I just said that we hope for life.
00:51Every person is hoping for life.
00:54Everyone's hoping to have a good life, and want to have a good life, and want more of
01:00life.
01:03So faith is the substance of things we hope for.
01:06What is that substance?
01:08That substance is life, because life is what we're hoping for.
01:13And where do we find life, and what is that substance?
01:17Faith is the substance of things we hope for, and the evidence of things not seen.
01:21So it is also that substance that we hope for, that life that we hope for, is also the
01:26evidence of things not seen.
01:29And so we never seen God, and that substance is the evidence of things, of something that's
01:35not seen, is that life.
01:37So it's the life, the substance is the life itself.
01:42That life is also the evidence.
01:45We hope for life, and that life is Jesus Christ.
01:49And why do I say that?
01:51Because Jesus tells us in John 14, 6, Jesus answered, I am the way, the truth, and the
01:57life, and no one comes to the Father except through me.
02:01So Jesus is telling us, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
02:07No one comes to a Father except through me.
02:10So the evidence of things not seen, we never seen God, but Jesus has.
02:15He is the way.
02:17He is the truth.
02:19He is the life.
02:21And that's what we hope for.
02:23So Jesus is everything that we hope for.
02:26Every person on the planet is hoping for life.
02:29They want an everlasting life.
02:31They want a good life, and that good life is Jesus Christ.
02:34He's the only one that is good.
02:36He is the good life.
02:37He is the substance.
02:40He is the substance that we're looking for.
02:42He is the evidence that God loves us.
02:45He is life.
02:48Love always hopes, and that hope is in Jesus Christ.
02:53Love always hopes, and what we're hoping for is the life of Jesus Christ.
02:58Jesus Christ is the life, and that's what we need.
03:01That's our source.
03:02That is our substance.
03:06Love always hopes, and we're always going to be hoping for Jesus Christ, the life, the

10:38Faith is a substance of things that we hope for.
10:41I'm hoping for that life, and that life is Jesus Christ.
10:47If your hope is not in Jesus Christ, you're placing your hope in something wrong.
10:54You're placing your hope in something wrong, a wrongful substance, a wrongful behavior, a wrongful character, a lifestyle, our traditions, our desires.
11:06You're putting your faith in something else that is not God, and that is not life.
11:11If your hope is not Jesus, you're placing your hope in something that is not life.
11:18Behavior, substance, character, lifestyle, traditions, desires, whatever you put in your hope that is not in Jesus, it's going to fail.
11:28It's going to fail because that is not life.
11:31Life is in Jesus, and that's where you're supposed to put your hope in.
11:36So all the things that you see in the world that is wrong and is not working out, it's not going to work out.
11:42It's not going to stand.
11:43That foundation is not going to stand.
11:45If it's not placed in Jesus Christ, it's going to fall because it is not life itself.
11:51Jesus is life, and believing in his word and being obedient to his word.
11:58When you believe it in Jesus Christ, you will have it.
12:03You will not perish.
12:04You will have everlasting life.
12:06Believe it.
12:09Put your hope into life.
12:11Put your hope into the substance, and that substance is Jesus Christ.
12:15We're all hoping for life, but where are you hoping?
12:18Where are you getting that life?
12:21That life is only in Jesus Christ.
12:23We did not create ourselves.
12:25We did not create ourselves.
12:26I did not create myself, so I don't know nothing about this life.
12:29I don't even know nothing about myself because I did not create myself.
12:33We cannot create ourselves.
12:37We can't give life to ourselves.
12:41I don't care what scientist you're watching or looking at.
12:45He cannot create life.
12:47He cannot give people life.
12:49Life is only found in God, which is his son, Jesus Christ.
12:55God created all of everything.
12:57God created the heavens and the earth.
12:59He created every human being.
13:03His life is the life we should live, not of our own.
13:11God's life is the life that we should live and which we should have hope in.
13:17Jesus Christ came to the earth not to do his own will but the father's will.
13:23Our kingdom come, thy will be done.
13:26Thy will be done.
13:28As it's in heaven, as will be on earth.
13:32As it's in heaven, as God's will is done in heaven, his will will be done here on earth.
13:41And that is life.
13:42Following Jesus, he is the way.
13:44He is the way.
13:45He is the truth.
13:46He is the life.
13:49Love always hopes.
13:50And that hope is in Jesus Christ.
13:55Love always hopes.

13:58And when we live in, for Jesus Christ, we live in the life that he wants us to live.
14:05If you're not living the life that Jesus wants you to live, and you're trying your best, but you see a lot of sinfulness, do not worry.
14:15For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
14:24So Jesus is preparing a place for us.
14:27He's preparing a place for us.
14:30So we will be with him, always a heavenly place for us.
14:35Meanwhile, we are groaning, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwellings.
14:42So we're groaning.
14:45We're not living the life that God wants us to live.
14:48And we believe in him.
14:49We want that life.
14:51And we're surrounded by sinful nature.
14:54And our bodies are groaning.
14:55We are groaning because we want that life.
14:58We're hoping for that life.
15:01And so when you're believing in him, we're going to have that heavenly dwelling.
15:07When we believe in Jesus Christ and we're hoping and we live in his spirit, we have that heavenly dwelling.
15:18When we go to heaven, we have that heavenly dwelling all the time.
15:23Because when we are clothed, we are not found naked.
15:28When I'm clothed with his righteousness, when I'm clothed by the obedience of God, I'm clothed because I'm listening to Jesus.
15:36I'm listening to Jesus Christ.
15:37I'm listening to Jesus Christ who is the way, who is the life.
15:41Everything I'm hoping for is in Jesus Christ.
15:43So I'm clothed with everything, all the substance of Jesus Christ.
15:47I'm clothed.
15:48I am not naked.
15:49I am clothed.
15:53I'm putting in my body.
15:56I'm breathing in Jesus Christ.
15:58He is life.
16:00Because we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be clothed instead with heavenly dwellings.
16:06So I put my trust in Jesus Christ because he is heavenly.
16:10I put my trust in Jesus Christ because he is the son of God.
16:13He is the way and the truth.
16:16So nothing that's mortal can swallow me up.
16:21Nothing that is deaf can swallow me up.
16:31So that what is moral cannot swallow me up because I'm surrounded.
16:40I'm surrounded with heavenly dwellings of God.
16:45I'm surrounded with Jesus Christ.
16:47I am living for him.
16:50So the same spirit that rose Jesus from the dead will raise me up.
16:57That is my hope.
16:59That is my hope, and that's Jesus Christ who is life.
17:02And so when I'm following him who is life, death cannot swallow me up.
17:07Death cannot swallow me up because I'm living in obedience.
17:10I'm living in the love of Christ.
17:13Love always hope.
17:15And that hope, I'm hoping for the life.
17:17I'm hoping for Jesus Christ.
17:20Now, the one who fashions us for this very purpose is God himself.
17:25He's the one that fashions us.
17:28Who has given us the spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing us what is to come.
17:35Who is to come?
17:37Jesus Christ who's going to give our everlasting life there.
17:40That what is to come is being in the image of God, being in the character of God, being in the spirit of God, being the child that he wants us to be.
17:54His will be done as it is in heaven.
18:00His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
18:05This is what I hope for.
18:07Life.
18:09Hope for life, not life as Jesus Christ.
18:13Who I'm depositing.
18:15When I believe in him, he is depositing in me.
18:18Depositing life in me.
18:23So, therefore, I have this confidence.
18:25I have this confidence.
18:30And know that as long as I live here on earth, in the body, I'm away from the Lord.
18:39But when I live by faith, not by sight, I have this confidence in the Lord.
18:46I know that life is in me because I have that confidence in God.
18:57So, as I live in the body, away from the Lord and I believe in him, even though I'm not in God's presence, but the spirit is in me.
19:08I'm not living by sight.
19:11My faith is in him.
19:13I have confidence in him.
19:15That is what I'm hoping for.
19:17That's what gives me life.
19:20So, I make it my goal to please him.
19:23I make it my goal to please him because if I make it my goal to please him, then I have life.
19:34So, if I'm away from the body, when I was in the body, I was present.
19:46I'm present in the favor of the Lord.
19:49If I'm absent in the body, I'm still present, but I'm with the Lord.
19:55So, when I'm in the body, when I was on earth, I'm not present with the Lord.
20:02I'm present with the Lord in spirit and in faith.
20:06But away from my body, I'm present with the Lord.
20:08I'm in his hands because I believe in him.
20:12I believe in the life that he wants me to have.
20:17And I know I'm pleasing him who is life.
20:22We all will appear before judgment.
20:29And right there in the seat of Jesus Christ judging us for what we did right or what we did bad.
20:37We all will see him.
20:38We all will confess that Jesus is Lord.
20:45The question is, do you want life or do you want death?
20:48What are you hoping for?
20:51And so, if you're not living in the substance of Jesus Christ, that's death.
20:59If you're not living in the substance of Jesus Christ, that is death.
21:03That is not life.
21:05If you're not living in the substance of Jesus Christ, by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God and believing in him, believing him, everything about him, everything he's telling you, by obedience and life is in you.
21:21Put your faith in him.
21:23This is what we're hoping for.
21:25Every person on the planet is hoping to have a life, is hoping to live a good life.
21:32Reconciliation is in Jesus Christ, which is life.
21:38He reconciles us back to God because we got separated from God because of sin, because of disobedience.
21:47When you're living in disobedience, sin separates you.
21:51You're not living in the life that God wants you to live.
21:56The life that God wants us to live is in Jesus Christ.
22:01And this is the hope.
22:03This is the promised hope.
22:05This is the hope that we should live in.
22:08That is the hope, Jesus Christ.
22:12And we should love him.
22:15When we love the son, we will love the father.
22:18Love always hopes.
